- 2021-08-02I feel guilty. Whenever I feel tired I will kinda rant it on baby because I have to look after baby and it is never intentional but it happens when I’m very tired because I am.
I do not know why but my baby don’t want let me make him sleep. It will take forever for me to make baby slee where else my father in law takes awhile then baby sleeps. I’m such a useless mother.
😓
Do anyone go through the same thing? :( tbh I don’t even know if it’s related but damn it sucks

- 2021-08-02Dear mummies,
Anyone has experience on a 10 weeks old baby, who has trouble napping? The situation is like this: He can only rely on the spring cot to sleep and whenever he uses the pacifier to soothe himself to sleep, he will smack it away or spit it out shortly after. This causes him to be awake and this cycle repeats. He is quite fussy and can’t seem to sleep for long as he will move about once the spring cot stops bouncing or whenever the pacifier is out of his mouth.
Only during day naps, at night I will put him in the Love to Dream swadde and sleep in his cot once fell asleep from the sprint cot. He hates swaddling during day times.

- 2021-08-02Hi, all mummies.
I’m so embarrassed to say but I have name regret of my beautiful baby who is 9months old.
My husband named my daughter but the name he picked wasn’t my taste.
Well, I also always have been listing names for my future daughter since I was teenager.
But I went by his choice because I was hoping him to get ready to be a father by naming his own daughter.
(We weren’t in a good place during whole pregnancy)
Husband and I both were grown up without middle names. So the idea of giving middle names didn’t came up to our table somehow, rather never thought of it.
But I realized that I actually could have given my choice of name as middle name after my baby birth certificate has been registered.
I was keeping this regret until 5months hoping that it fades away. But it didn’t and the regret is getting bigger.
I confessed about this to my husband and he is disagreed to add middle name.
What do you think about make amends to add middle name for 9months baby.
Or anyone has ever done it before?
Please share your honest thoughts as a mother!
Any opinions are truly appreciated.
Thank you.

- 2021-08-02Hi mummies, I’m currently at week 31 now. My next appointment I’d be at week 33. Would it be too late by then to switch to private? As I’m currently under subsidy. I have no preference on the gynae. Only want to switch cos I’ve heard of “kkh horror stories” whereby expecting mums would be asked to wait for hours during their delivery day before getting a room. And from what I heard, it would mostly happen to subsidized patients. Can someone tell me if this is true?

My managers and ceo are aware that I'm pregnant and in first trimester but have not made arrangements for me to wfh. - 2021-08-03Hello fellow mummies,
I’m in my Trim 2. I’m really unsure if I should go for the vaccine.

My gyna is leaving the decision to us. Doesn’t seem too supportive of it.

- 2021-08-03Hi Mummies,
need advice on how do you encourage them to wear shoes?
I tried positive methods, soft approach, it ended up her crying badly and refuse to wear whenever she sees it.. i even wear and show her its fine.. the most she will pick up and meddle with the shoes, i have gotten all kinds of shoe (trial n error) but it seems nt to be working.. 😭

- 2021-08-03Wardrobe dehumidifier, the box one. Is it safe for pregnancy? i only put one in wardrobe.
- 2021-08-03Not sure if this is a question but I just need to rant- I’m not sure how real pregnancy depression is but I think I’ve been having it. I cry while driving myself to work. I do not get support from my partner. I worry about having to fork out my own money for baby’s needs and my needs such as breast pumps, post natal massage and confinement food. I teach, so the stress load in school is crazy, on top of being bullied constantly. I can’t quit cos my husband isn’t rich. Most of the days I wake up crying, I go to sleep crying. I don’t sleep well because my husband snores. I get only 2-3 hours of sleep every night. I lose my appetite on most days and eat fruits mostly. I haven’t gained any weight although I’m almost 5 months pregnant. I’ve thought of it many times but the only thing that’s keeping me going is knowing I have an innocent life inside of me.
Is it just the 2nd trimester emotional ride or am I really burnt out?
#pregnancy #advicepls #firstbaby

- 2021-08-04Hello everyone, first time mother here. Coming from a typical Asian family where feelings and emotions are rarely (if ever) talked about, I've come to realise how important it is to establish good communication practices from young to establish trust with my children. My child is turning 4 this year. Wondering if any parent of older children in their primary school / teenage years and has "been there, done that" and has tips to share about communicating with their children from a young age to build trust?
Thank you in advance!

- 2021-08-04Hey mummies.. My girl is 12 weeks old currently DL. I'm going back to work next month. I have been trying to introduce bottle feeding during the day however she has been rejecting it. I've tried hegen, pigeon, comotomo, Dr brown bottles still no success. Well, she does accept it once or twice. However, she has been forcefully rejecting it for the last 2 weeks. She used to accept bottle after birth till 4 weeks old when I decided to DL her for my convenience as I'm mainly the sole caregiver as my husband is working.
Im not sure if she's gg through a growth spurt at the moment. She has been drooling a lot, sucking her fingers. Not sure if teething.
Baby will be taken care of by my mum in laws, and even when my mum in law tried to feed her, she still reject the bottles. I've changed the teats to a faster flow. I'm pretty stressed up coz my Inlaws keep asking me "why baby don't want take bottle?". 😭
I've been trying, it's not that I'm not trying... But I can only smile in front of her. 😔
Any mummies experience this before? I just hope that she'll eventually accept bottle once I go back to work.. If not she'll be losing weight or worse dehydration. #pleasehelp #FTM

- 2021-08-04Due to the pandemic, almost every parent now would have experienced working from home with your little one beside you. Im sure at some point, your children have touched your triggering point. So how have you been managing work and taking care of your child when you’re home? Having to prepare their meals, dealing with their needs during Home Base Learning time and of course your own work/meetings.
Being a little more fortunate due to the flexibility of my work, I was able to work around my child’s timing. Meaning to say I will settle her before my work. And my girl could keep herself entertain when I have to settle my work.
Share with me what are some of the triggering moments that you have while working at home with you child.

She said that it would be safe for the baby but the instructional sheet from the manufacturer says it should be avoided and should not be used in first trimester. Still worrying on the safety of using it. Would anyone share their experience of using flagystatin during first trimester? #pleasehelp #1stimemom

- 2021-08-05This is a misfortunate for us that we lost our baby at week 17 after 5 years of marriage and both of us are in mid 38 and we are still trying to deal with it.
Me wife had a severe cramping at week 17 and we rushed to KK A&E. After 1 hour waiting, the doctor examined her and said that unfortunately her cervix opened and the baby is being pushed out and was told that she is undergoing inevitable miscarriage. We both cried and she along with the physical pain, had to go through the mental pain of losing our baby.
Later she was admitted in the ward and I was with her the whole time of admission (had to take ward A as she wants me to be with her), and when asked the doctor, she said it could be multiple reasons and next time when she gets pregnant we will tie the uterus (cerclage). But on asking how much the cervix got opened, the doctor said the A&E didn't record it but it could have been (assumption) that it is in state of not able to stitch it.
I am still thinking about it and want to know 1. does anybody done rescue/emergency cerclage in singapore that is push the baby back and tie the cerclage, if so what was your dilation and week in such a circumstance
2. Why the A&E didn't mention the length of opening in the cervix in their report and sinply said nothing could have been done.
Can readers advice whether they underwent a similar procedure and what your thoughts on it.
Appreciate your response and your time.

- 2021-08-05As a mummy, especially if you’re a working mum you will know that it’s near impossible to be free or even have your me/alone time. Cause half of our day is at work and when we’re back at home there’s laundry, cleaning, cooking and playing time with your child waiting for you. So time management is very important for us. How do we balance our work, family and also find time for ourself to unwind. For myself, thanks to the flexibility from my work it allows me to squeeze out some free time in between my meetings to attend cooking/baking lessons. That precious 2hours allows me to put everything aside temporary and unwind a little. I will also catch up with my drama whenever possible when my girl takes her nap/sleep. It’s important to schedule some me time despite your busy schedule it allows you to be recharged.
Share with me how do you find time in you busy schedule for yourself and what do you usually do to unwind/destress.

- 2021-08-06Currently 25 weeks. Have been religiously sleeping on my sides since 15 weeks or so. But these few days I am experiencing discomfort. The side that I am lying on will start aching after a while (especially the side butt cheek area).

Is there any way to alleviate the discomfort?

Recently she don't really want to drink water so I gave her pigeon apple juice and dilute with water, but my husband don't like me doing that. And for her porridge sometimes there is fish floss added and very rare will put dark soy sauce but my husband thinks all these are no good. It feels like I am a bad mum and not giving my girl the best, but all I want to do is encourage my daughter to drink more water and eat more porridge. Very tired.

- 2021-08-07Hi mummies,
I am having trouble sleeping lately… ive always been a side sleeper but ever since im pregnant, i find comfort sleeping on my back. I find that it provides support for my back and i always almost have a goodnight sleep when i do so.
However, now that im in my week 20, ive been advised to lie on my side and in particular my left side. This has resulted in aching shoulders and arms from leaning on them the entire night! I also have difficulty falling asleep on my side…
Hence, would really like mummies advices on this… whether it is ok to still lie on my back since it provides more support and comfort for my body (based on what i personally feel!) ? Or is it strongly discouraged to do so (understand its not good for blood flow and my heavy body maybe pressing on some nerve) ?
TIA! Btw i do use a pregnancy pillow :’)

- 2021-08-07Admittedly I’ve never bought the stroller and from other reviews I trust it must be really handy.
However I find it difficult to justify the price of a stroller that may only last baby through the first year. If there were adaptations to the Doona to grow with baby that might work for me. Otherwise, this wouldn’t be economical.
- 2021-08-07Hi, I'm 27 weeks pregnant and noticed my nipple is dry, rough and cracked. I didn't try to peel it as I'm scared of the pain! Is this normal? I've been applying cream daily and it's still dry and cracked
- 2021-08-07Dunno why no one came up with this sooner - no need for an additional container in the bag - this one fits right into the milk bottle!
Simply measure out the amount of milk powder and pop it into a Tommee Tippee bottle and you’re ready to go.
They don’t leak too so that’s a plus!! Genius!

- 2021-08-07Anyone have experience of this during pregnancy? Especially early in the morning. No stomach pain / cramp. Not sure whether this is common in pregnancy. But so far I have twice, currently week 21.

- 2021-08-07I’m currently 32w + 3days and baby’s still in breech :( Does anyone have any recommendations on how to turn a breech baby? Any specific things that you have tried and have successes with?
I’m also really worried about csect recovery. Does it really take longer and more painful than a natural delivery? #1stimemom #firstbaby
