10mos baby biting her lower lip

hi mummies. this might be a weird question, do u think it's true that the upper teeth will grow outwards if baby keep biting the lower lip? hubby recommended putting some bitter taste to her lower lip so she won't bite it, but I don't agree. I worry she will lose interest to eat or drink milk. appreciate your advice. tia!

Hi Mama, Lip biting and sucking are common behaviors in many babies. It's usually a self-soothing technique, although it can also be caused by teething and, occasionally, hunger. Although it can cause complications if it goes on for too long, most babies will grow out of it. Perhaps continue to monitor, wait and see?
