- 2021-07-12Hi mummies, do you switch to soy milk temporary when your kid has stomach upset? Any suggestions?
- 2021-07-12This title probably might give you a shock with what’s this all about. As a ftm, having a child with rare congenital disease is scary and helpless. Common congenital such as Down syndrome, spinal and muscle development have been seen now and then.
But for NF1 is uncommon hence I am here looking for potential support group if any of your child is diagnosed with NF1 or NF1 with related gene mutation. Or any of you heard of such support group, do let me know.
This is not a common disease in eastern side of the world but it is definitely hitting many in the western country. Research, medication and intervention work are well laid out with PD’s support and guidance there. However here in the eastern side, medical teams are still pretty much developing and learning from those new research done in the US.
I’m a baby massage instructor, I hope I can lend a helping in supporting those in need yet also to find a support group for my own child. Do spread the news if anyone is in need with any kind of support.

- 2021-07-12All three of our children have eczema and this works like a dream! The moment they start feeling that itch and urge to scratch we put this on. We also use this on cuts and bruises and scars and it has never failed us.
We started using these when they didn’t ship these in and had to get our friends to ship them in from Australia. Quality hasn’t changed since then.
Great item to include in your fort aid kit.

- 2021-07-12Hello! FTM here, and I'm curious to know what is the day like for other mums!
My girl is two months old now and she's a superglue. My daily routine is just to carry her around everyday.
When I need to go to the toilet, I have to park her outside the toilet so that I can still talk to her and she can sense/feel that I am still there. So far, she is very understanding when it comes to toilet business, and she wouldn't usually fuss.
Apart from that, she has to be carried when she naps. The minute you put her down, her eyes would be wide open. Trust me, I've tried all kinds of ways to put her down and it just doesn't work. Thankfully that is just in the day. We can still put her down to sleep at night.
Lucky for me, my husband is still working from home due to covid. We are still able to take turn to eat and carry her. But on days when he needs to go out, I can only snack on bites because it is not easy to eat while carrying a baby.
Baby wear is not an option because she hates them.
Also because of this, I am able to binge watch alot of shows.

- 2021-07-13Hi mummies, I feel like my baby is detached from me. Everytime I want to latch him he will cry and somehow prefers dad than the mom. How do I gain the closeness back? It’s very hard that I find when the dad goes to work he will start the fuss but when dads around he won’t fuss as much. Slowly feeling depressed abt this. - 2021-07-13Hi mummies, 😰 a lot of times when my 4months old baby shows signs of tiredness (rubbing cheek and eyes, yawning) I will put him down. Sometimes he falls asleep after whining, sometimes need to go in a few times to sayang then sleep, then sometimes he whine on and off and then play in the cot for an hour or two. There are times I can see his eyes almost closing but he will suddenly open his eyes and play or whine… I’m exhausted, am I doing something wrong here?😞

- 2021-07-13Hi mummies, I am a FTM. Yesterday i have sent my 3months old baby to a babysitter for 1st time. When I go to pick up my son, I have requested the babysitter like below:
1) To let my baby sleep one side due to his flat head issues (But she told me no issues with flat head since his 7 years old boy also flat head and sounds like doesn't want to do as per my request)
2) I brought my son's pillow and a toy that he used to cuddle when he sleeps and told her how I pat my son sleep. (She ended ask me to bring back the toy cause she said doesn't necessary.) I am not sure how my Baby sleeps or not sure whether he does sleep at her home cause when my baby reached home, he slept 9 hours at night which never happened before. (By the way, today i didn't bring my son to her cause heavy rain, and my son continue to sleep about 2 hours after every feed. Not whether I should feel happy cause this is also an abnormal sign)
3) My husband bring bb to her house and i will bring Baby back due to our working timing. Then she requested me to send my Baby a little bit late next day cause she wanted to bring her boy to school. So I told her is ok, I will bring my Baby to you instead otherwise my husband will be late to work. She was like shocked and asked how come we need to take turn? I told her we share the responsibility together ma.. but she Keep saying don't need so troublesome need to take turn la..bla bla..
4) I brought an anti reflux baby louger that my son used to lie on when he drinks milk because my son has that reflux issues. Initially she asked me to bring back also, but end up she said OK just leave it.
This babysitter was recommended from a mummy that used to take care of her 2 sons.
I am not sure whether my requests are too many? Or I am just worrying too much ? Just feeling not right to see my son acting differently after 1 day stay at her place 😔😔😔

Using Spectra S1 with the correct flange arcodding to my nipple size.

- 2021-07-13I am very worried over my wife's diet as she is not having appetite for food. Constantly nauseas and giddy. I am at a loss of what she can eat, and she has gastric issue too. - 2021-07-14My 2.5 year old toddler has been having sleep regression ever since my newborn is born in Feb this year. She cant seem to let go of latching and gets very jealous and upset when my newborn wants to latch, so she ends up wanting too. As a result I have been doing tandem bf.
When I was pregnant, I managed to wean her down from comfort latching to only when she wants to sleep, but she doesnt wake up at night at all and even if she does, she can go back to sleep independently. Now my baby is 5 months old and wakes up 4-5 times at night to latch, at the same time my 2.5 year old too! She wakes up almost 5 times as well at separate timings to latch. I feel like i’m raising twins. Recently i decided not to give in and at least once i will reject her and she will cry and scream throw tantrums. Hubby will help to distract her, but other times i just cant be bothered and give in because i’m just soooo exhausted.
Is this a jealousy phase? I’ve been trying to explain to her that boobie is for baby…she cannot have it. I try to scare her by saying her teeth will drop if she continues to latch haha but nothing seem to work. Has anyone experienced this before and have any advices??
It’s tough as i’m working full time too. Every day feeling groggy and aching all over. Oh yes, we co-sleep too. Some nights I do feel like escaping and sleep in the guest room but i feel bad :(
- 2021-07-14My 4 month babygirl, is having a hard time to pass motion. Until we need to pump her, but it came out a very hard stool. And she was crying in pain, we keep changing milk. - 2021-07-14So ever since baby is born, I realised me and husband always having different parenting views and always end up in a quarrel. Anyway before having baby we are always quarrelling too. We had our happy moments, but also have our fair share of quarrels and some really bad ones. The latest one is I want to bring my 17 mo to indoor playground, but husband says still too early at least 3 yo den suitable. After much persistent from me, he finally relent to this mini indoor playground in a nearby mall near my house. However, he didn't want to come in with me. It is our LO first time in the indoor playground and I would like to capture special moments etc but he prefer to wait outside for 1 hour and go do grocery shopping, which pisses me off. During our meal, I asked again and he doesn't want to go in and hurled vulgarities at me. Got so pissed off I ended up nvr bring my LO to the indoor playground since the mood is off. Husband also says he don't go in den dun have to pay for the additional adult price. He scolded me why I can't understand he doesn't want to go in. I apologise to him in public but I still feel angry at home now. I angrily said he can lose $100plus playing mahjong with friends and keep buying cigarettes but dun wan to go in. He say he go in watch baby play 1 hour very bo liao. - 2021-07-14Can I feed my 1yo ketchup? Any brands to recommend?
- 2021-07-14Hello mummies! Are there simple yet good recipes for babies? Like 9 months and above? I am trying to make some simple porridge or something for my baby. Thank you!
- 2021-07-14I recently came across these sponges which are apparently all the hype in the US: https://www.samplestore.com/collections/scrub-daddy-apac
Has anyone tried them before and what's your feedback like? Supposedly to be better than the usual cheap ones you find at the supermarket because these are non-toxic when washing items for the kids.
- 2021-07-14Love the new Baygon Aerosel! I find it easy to use with an improved smell. Do you agree?

Does anyone know of any good anti-itch product that is safe on Mummy skin? Thanks!

- 2021-07-14Hi mummies is it normal for your body temperature to feel warmer at 27 weeks all the time?
- 2021-07-14Just wondering if there are mommas here who have same experience as I do. My vagina/labia has been very dry to the point that I have developed painful rash and chafing. What are the home remedies or creams you used to treat it? It is also frustrating me that I cannot be as intimate as I want with my husband because I fear my skin would break #pleasehelp #breastfeedingmom
- 2021-07-14My 7mo baby needs to hold my hand before sleeping at night everytime. Sometimes, even for naps times. If not, he will be fussy and cry. Does anyone encounter the same thing? What should i do?
- 2021-07-14is that normal?
- 2021-07-14Hi all! FTM here.
How do you know which pump is suitable?
I’m planning to get the electric breast pump but WHAT IF i can’t produce my own milk for my baby? Will it be a waste of money to get the electric one? My concern right now.
If i were to get manual and i can provide breast milk to baby, i will eventually get the electric one too. So what is your best advice out there parents?
- 2021-07-14I’ve been getting quite hairy during pregnancy is it safe to shave during pregnancy? If so how to shave with baby bump blocking?
- 2021-07-14Hi mummies and mummies to be. I've been getting intermittent vaginal cramps (like sharp pains) and I'm week 19. Is it normal? So far no bleeding... feeling quite scared now....

- 2021-07-15Do mums use single pump or double pump when they use the wearables? Would double pumping be too bulky?
- 2021-07-15This has been around forever - I mean when I use it on my children as a massage oil I’m brought back to my childhood days!
I’m sure some mamas will also attest to the fact that this product has multiple uses - I know it removes make up very efficiently and works wonders on face paint and temp tattoos! You can also use this to make home made play dough! To give it that shiny texture!
Great product with lots of user versatility!

- 2021-07-15So we only bought this for our third child. Before this we actually used a multi-tiered steamer and conventional blender to produce the food in bulk and prepare for the week. But this was a game changer - just put the food in the canister, steam it, then flip it round, blend and there you go!!! What I love most is they have an app for this too! Look up the different foods to find out how long to steam and they even have a list of recipes you can try according to the different age groups! And it’s a reasonably priced item which is very sturdy and well- made!
Definitely worth the buy!
- 2021-07-15My first 2 big ticks about this bottle carrier is that it’s designed for one bottle and it’s wide. This means I don’t have to bring out two bottles to keep it standing straight and I can use this for other purposes - I’ve managed to fit little Tupperwares of snacks in this carrier as well.
Yes it keeps the milk warm long enough and it lasts. I’ve thrown this into the washing machine with a meshed bag and it come out nice and clean.
Would definitely recommend getting two for interchanging reasons.
- 2021-07-15Whenever my boy starts acting up i give him time out . started when he was 3 and 3min max. He is 4 now so time out last for 4min.
After time up, i will let him know again what he has done wrong and not to repeat it with a firm low tone voice. Then, i will make sure to tell him i love him and give big hugs.
Have you done this?
Does it work for you?

- 2021-07-15Had my last period on 07 Jun. Based on calculation I should be 5 weeks pregnant now. Experienced something like implantation bleeding 1 day after my next period supposed to due. Bleeding stopped after 3 days. 1 week later, I experienced another light bleeding, also last for 2-3 days. Went to KKH, did urine test, blood test and ultrasound(abdominal & vaginal scan). HCG lvl around 400+uL, no sac found. 2 days later went back for another blood test, HCG lvl increased to 600+uL, but still no sac found but something can be seen on my left ovary. Dr say it could be ectopic pregnancy but cannot confirm and ask me if I want to have injection to abort or wait for 2 more days and do the same test again. I have history of cyst on my right & left ovary before. I am in dilema. I could have kill the baby if the one on my left ovary could be cyst and not ectopic, and it could be too early to detect the sac so cannot see. Anyone experience the same thing? Any advise pls?#firstbaby #advicepls #pregnancy #pleasehelp

- 2021-07-16Hi, wondering if any mummies out there have gone through any tooth extraction at 24 weeks pregnancy. Mine requires surgery. Is it going to be safe? Dental advice to get approval from hospital. But my appointment will only be on month end. I'm really suffering right now. Dental told me they could still proceed with the surgery if my pain becomes unbearable. But no x-ray will be done. #pleasehelp

- 2021-07-17Any mummies ordering/ordered confinement food? Which caterer did u engage and how was it?
- 2021-07-17i'm currently working as a teacher in a childcare and is in class with the children for a big chunk of the day. i know most pregnant ladies are able to work up till 30+ weeks but i come back so tired and drained from being in a classroom filled with so many active children everyday. my second trimester hasn't been as enjoyable as i've read it's supposed to be for most, since my lethargy and a few other pregnancy symptoms have actually intensified (breathlessness, irritability, migraines from the loud ambience, etc.) doesn't help that the last term of school will be soooo hectic
what's bothering me too is that i will be moving houses soon and be further away from work closer to my third trim. but with everyone i know and seen so far working till the start of their maternity leave i feel so useless if i took on the option to go on unpaid leave for the time being....

- 2021-07-17Currently on NAN formula milk. Will be 1 year old in about 2 months. I understand that can switch to cow milk/fresh milk instead of follow up(stage 3) milk. N i do know also thats its not necessary as nutritions can still be found in food. I still prefer milk powder to be given after 1yo. Any recommendations? I have some choices like COW HEAD n FERN LEAF but just wonder if anyone had given their LO any of it n hows its like. LO still prefer milk to be warm when sleeping but don't mind if its cold during the day. #advicepls

- 2021-07-17Hi, my 1 month old baby girl tends to twist her body and head while sleeping. And the side she turns to is usually the same. When I try to adjust her posture she tends to wake up. Anyone has similar experience? Should I be concerned and how should I manage it?
- 2021-07-17My 3 weeks old baby daughter only sleeps around 1 hour in each stretch in the day and will wake up and cry for milk. She will then take another 1 hour plus before she can sleep. This started only this week, previously it was quite difficult to wake her up for milk. Anyone facing the same problem or had dealt with such problem before? #advicepls #1stimemom #firstbaby #pleasehelp

- 2021-07-17My 10mo baby loves to sit upright to view the surrounding. Would you recommend keenz or baby zen (plus guard bar addon from Shopee)? Which stroller is better in the long run? Is keenz seat too narrow for bigger kids? Which is easier for mummy (alone) who takes taxi alone to fold up and unfold while carrying baby? Does baby zen topple over easily if i add a baby bag at the handle?

- 2021-07-17Hi mummies, I’m alone in the room while baby is sleeping. I just wanna rant things out. I’ve got no one to talk to, even my husband, and this feeling sucks. We both are having different opinions lately and tent to quarrel after that, not talking to each other for the next few days nor even a text msg or phone call for the day. My hubby is holding onto a work permit now awaiting for his PR….. which makes him feeling moody lately as things don’t go well for us. I know I can’t do anything for now, I’m always the one who apologise after every quarrel or so, i gave in a lot but why my man can’t. At times like this I really wanna stay out but no, I’ve got a infant with me, who’s gonna take care of my child when I’m not around. Men can just go out whole day ignore whatsoever when they reach home, shake leg play phone! It’s never the same as before, before we had our first child, I don’t know why, I’m lose too☹️
Sorry for the wordy post, but I need some love from mummies, I can’t control myself wiping tears while typing….

- 2021-07-17Hi mummies
May i know how you guys soothe constipation?
Other than taking otc meds and drinking prune juice and plain water.
I had this problem for my 3pregnancies.
But..
With my secondborn i have a bad constipation. And even though i didnt strain, it gets a bad swell down there that during appt i cried while doing cervix check and all cause the numb pain is still there.
And because of that, my current pregnancy, im having it again. Afraid it will be the same or worst. Trying my best to avoid that again. Also there are times i didnt strain, only pressure to poop, but i can feel the swell/piles?
Im worried it might get serious or complicated in near future. Esp nearing my edd.
Help. Also im currently at 19weeks.
