- 2021-07-05My baby started learning use spoon to eat from 13mo. In the past, he always push away everything on his tray and making the table and ground very dirty and messy. 😨👻. This product is a good buy for him because the bowl can stick on his table. He can focus on learning use the spoon and won’t make the table too messy 😁. That’s one of the item you have to buy when u start the spoon training with your baby.

- 2021-07-05Hello mums out there, does anyone mind sharing how do you put your baby to sleep?
Also, when do you start sleep training your baby?
My boy is 3months old and usually requires me to carry and walk around to make him fall asleep. Sometimes i have to even shake him while walking. Whenever, i place him down on his cot he cries out loud instantly. As there are many old sayings that says if you carry and shake them all the time, they will get too used to it.
Thanks in advance! 👶🏻

- 2021-07-05I’m a new mum and me and my husband are handling baby’s night sleep together. There’s a couple of questions which i would like to ask…
1) when its time for feed and baby is still sleeping, do you wait for baby to wake or just wake baby up for the feed?
2) baby doesn’t like to latch and is drinking every 3 hours. Managing my 3 hourly pump at the same time while preparing for baby’s bottle feeding is stressful. What should i do to better manage this?
3) when does the feeding interval increases? From 3 hourly to longer? #1stimemom #advicepls #nightfeed

- 2021-07-06I gave birth last May 28 via CSection, and would like to rave about my experience; my husband and were so happy because in God's good graces we found the best OB we could ever asked for, Dr. Tan Kai Lit of Thomson Medical.
It's my third baby but my first time to give birth here in SG. I've always been a high risk case because of previous premature deliveries. My first born was only 36 weeks and he unfortunately passed away due to complications. My second boy was born at 32 weeks due to premature labor. When we found out that I'm pregnant for the third time, we were so excited yet nervous because of my pregnancy issues before. I asked my GP, Dr. Shanty, if she knows an OB who is great at handling high risk pregnancies, Dr. Tan KL was firsr on her list. And so we went.
Dr. Tan KL will always greet you with a big hello during consultations. He scans the baby everytime and will even give a picture as a keepsake. He'll calmly answer every question and explain as thorough as he can. When I got a high risk OSCAR result, I told him that I don't want further tests such as NIPT and the like because I will keep the baby no matter what, Dr. Tan respected my decision right away.
He always praises and says glory to God everytime i reach a milestone or a good result. I love this about him. When I reached my 33rd week, I was warded because of frequent contractions and my BP has always been at the higher side but because of Dr. Tan's decisiveness, we were able to dodge a premature delivery and was able to reach the 37th week!
My husband and I were ecstatic because this was the first time we delivered a term baby, no health issues at all. Once seemed impossible to us is now our reality. The birth was so smooth and my husband was allowed to stay at by my side. The operation took a little bit longer than usual because doctor also went an extra mile and repositioned my bladder. We always thank him for the support and knowledge but he'll say he's just the pilot and will credit everything to God. My CS wound healed beautifully. He has a great stitching skills and at 1 month post partum, I can barely see a scar. Dr. Tan is proactive and always thinks two steps ahead of every situation. I would highly recommend him if your looking for an OB.
I also love his two clinic nurses, Nurse Rose and Nurse Gladys.
Nurse Rose is always on point and very dedicated to what she does. Nurse Gladys is very amicable and caring. Although they are always masked, I can see them smiling behind it everytime they greet patients. Both nurses are kind and accommodating and eventhough I am a foreigner they made me feel comfortable every visit.
So much love fo this team! You'll never go wrong with KL Tan Clinic and Surgery for Women.

- 2021-07-07Hi, my wife is in her 29 weeks now but she's feeling some numbness, is it normal? Please help🙏
- 2021-07-07My baby has never slept through the night since birth. The most he lasted was 4hrs when he was 2 months old. After that he would wake up at different intervals (can be 20 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hr, 1.5hr, 2 hr, 3 hrs etc)
He also sometimes wakes up too early (3/4am) and can't go back to sleep even though I've tried nursing or rocking him. It took us 2-3 hrs to get him to drowsy state. Now it's worsened cos he started rolling but can't roll back.
We've been helping him nap/sleep either by rocking or nursing. He's never slept by himself before.
I tried to sleep train recently using the gentle CIO method, by putting him on his cot awake. But he cries even before touching the bed, or stays alert all the way till he becomes bored or upset and cries. I tried to pat him but he just turned hysterical and became inconsolable after some time if I don't pick him up to calm him down. It will take my husband and I hours to calm him down.
He's 4.5 months old now and it seems that he has the ability to self soothe (he will suck his hand or toy when he's abit fussy).
We also have this bedtime routine where the lights are dimmed, I put on music and read a book to him. But it always ends up with him crying and I rocking him to sleep.
I'm wondering if there's a gentler way to sleep train or if I don't sleep train will my baby learn to sleep without rocking soon?

- 2021-07-07I'm 32 this year and I have a 6 mth old boy. My hubby and I are discussing on a gd time to have our 2nd but we can't seem to settle on a good age gap, partly because of our rather old age, my hub is 34 btw. He prefers to have kids who are closer in age like less than 2 years gap as he thinks it'll be more tiring to handle babies in our late thirties (and I also don't want to risk any birth complications or difficulty conceiving after 35). We hope to have 3 kids ideally but I only have 3 more years to go before I turn 35! Financially we're ready but mentally, I'm not sure if I cld handle another postpartum blues anytime soon but I do actually look fwd to having more children and miss being pregnant somehow. Weird I know 😅 If you're in my shoes what would you do?

- 2021-07-08Hi mommas,
Im 8days PP. It started off with both sides nipple cracked n engorgement. But after awhile i kept latching n pumping, one side gets better while the other side... Slow milk flow and clogged ducts. I already massaged, use the hot towel method and even drank lecithin. When baby latches , no milk comes out i guess cos of the way baby fussed. I even asked my postpartum massage aunty to help massage and it does help relieve the engorgement. Alot of milk came out btw. Funny, when baby latches, nothing comes out. I worry if only one side of my breast is able to produce milk and the other cannot at all. What should i do? I worry..

- 2021-07-08Dear fellow mummies,
Seeking for advise on my 10m old little one who has been rejecting solids lately. He has been having purée spoon fed since 6m old and was doing very well to finish his food each meal up till about 9.5m old. He used to be able to finish his meal in 10-15min but recently he takes almost 30-40min to finish 70-80% of his meal with lots of squirming/crying/needs a lot of distraction before he is willing to open his mouth for us to feed. When he takes a spoonful, he will keep the food in his mouth and not chew/swallow. I have tried thinner purée and thicker purée and even BLW with steam veggies but all not working. For BLW, he just throws them on the floor. Any advice on how I can get him to enjoy meal time?
Sample of his meal plan below.
7am b.milk 190ml
8.30am breakfast (approx 100-120ml baby oatmeal)
11.30am formula/b.milk 180ml
1pm lunch (approx 120-140ml of home cooked baby purée)
3.30pm formula 180ml
5pm dinner (same as lunch)
6.30pm formula 180ml
Bedtime 7pm no night feedings

- 2021-07-08Hi. I had a membrane sweep in the morning I was 1.5cm dilated. Then night there was pain. I came hospital. They said it’s about 1.5-2cm still. Then dr did a vaginal check.. unfortunately baby head suddenly turn to side ways. Instead of down. Now being admitted to monitor. Dr going to send for scan. If baby down can induce. But there a risk of baby turning again.. then must C-sec. another option is consider C-sec. This is my second. My first was normal birth 8 years ago.

- 2021-07-09I am on week 5. Been experiencing bleeding two day ago and started heavy bleeding just like period flow since yesterday. Went to see Gynae and got some med and 1 week of bed rest. Doc asked me to go back in a week time but wondering if I should revisit earlier, though not sure if I can handle the news. Anyone experienced this and how to stay motivated? - 2021-07-09Hello mummies!
At what month can my baby start solids? He's 5 months old and already sprouting his first teeny weeny tooth. He will stare at us eating and drooling 😂 but he can't sit yet and has not turn/roll over. Nurse said he can start solid at 6 mths old though just wondering if anyone starts early?

- 2021-07-09My LO is 5 mths old. He's a mix feed baby since birth (a NICU baby) and have been rejecting bm since he was 3 mths old. Tried as much as I could to latch him, give him frozen bm, fresh or even chilled bm, he will gag and refused to drink unless I dream feed him.
But today he seems that he wants to latch. The moment I showed him my boob, he will open his mouth wide and latch on for a good 10-20 mins. The problem is, I have been pumping since he has stopped latching 2 mths ago but all I get daily is 30ml for both side and 40-50ml in the morning. I did power pumping, drank avocado shake, ate durian, salmon, oats, even lactation cookies, none seem to work. How do I make more bm for him given that my bm is already established since I'm already 5 mths pp? #advicepls

- 2021-07-09according to my first day of last menses, the pregnancy is not exactly 10weeks. my 2nd round of chexk. 2 weeks ago, baby is 3.3cm. today 4.1 but still no heartbeat yet. Doc ask to come back next week. I am worried if the baby will grow to 7cm because the doc say babies should have heartbeat by then. if not, they worry its a failed pregnancy. - 2021-07-09My parents were never around much when I was young, always out, work/leisure. When I was pregnant they weren’t even happy about it because I was unwed, after awhile they came to accept it n kept trying to micromanage everything I do because they said I was carrying “their baby”?? They doubted me every step of the way n insisted that I will not be able to handle my baby myself n that I couldn’t even take care of myself 🙄, Fast forward few months, baby was born n I took care of her together with my now husband alone, no parents help, no nanny, nothing. Anyway, she’s 16mo now n we hate helicopter parenting so we usually hang back n let her do her thing n not “protect” or hover around her 24/7 or pick her up n coddle her immediately when she falls. My mum has now gotten into the habit of criticising my parenting skills n saying that we r neglecting “her baby” because she has bumps on her head or say a scratch on her arm, insisting that I am not feeding her right that she’s too skinny(she’s in the 80th percentile), she uses expired Zambak on her bruises even though I INSISTED NO medication unless absolutely necessary but she just shoots me back with “it’s better than nothing, u want to neglect her somemore meh? see her bump so big!”
My dad on the other hand, constantly gives her snack all the time, popcorn, pickled veggies, chocolates, whatever I say no to, he gives n say “it’s only abit, not everytime also what. U see, she wants more” I have scolded them many many times n they never listen to me 🤦🏻♀️ Now I’m eagerly awaiting my hdb rental flat to be ready so we can move out of this place zz
- 2021-07-09Hi im a FTM and my baby is 4 months old and she love to scratch her head while sleeping. She will stop once she is in deep sleep but it does distrup her sleep. I have to hold her arm or hand to stop her from scratching. She doesnt have an ear infection or cradle cap or any sensitive skin. When she was 2 weeks old i did shave her head as psrt of religion and now her hair is growing well and healthy. Is it because her hair is growing longer thats why its itchy?Does any mummies experience time before? What should i do? Is it normal?

- 2021-07-09Hi, I’m just wondering have anyone asked their gynae before to reduce or remove progesterone support prescribed during first trimester? I’m suspecting that my pregnancy sickness symptoms are amplified with progesterone pills. I feel miserable. Since I have no bleeding or any other signs of possible miscarriage I wonder if it’s a risk worth taking. I will check with gynae when I see him next week too. #pregnancy #firstbaby

I latch and also pump. I'm a first time mom and I'm not sure how to do that actually. And how do we know they are emptied?
1) After latching must I always pump?
2) When I pump, when should I stop? After the last drop of milk?

- 2021-07-10Hi mummies, want to know how you all handle with the conflict with your mil. We arranged our mil to come Singapore to help us take care of my LO but many conflicts happen since day 1. It was suppose a happy thing for my husband and I on the delivery of our baby but in fact the arguments never stop.. Honestly I do appreciate my mil for sacrificing to come over to take care my mil (my mil is from Malaysia). But sometimes I always have conflict with her, I'm not sure whether I'm too stubborn or over protective on my baby. When I saw something that's not right, I'll voice out. But old woman are always sensitive especially my mil is a single mother. She get very offensive with my words. Her 6 months with us, she always like to tell us she wan to go back Malaysia. She actually promised us that she'll help us to take care my LO till March 2022, that's why I postpone my ifc enrolment till next year. But she's keep saying that she want to go back Malaysia after every argument with me. To me, she's threatening me. My husband and I feel very suffer when she say that as our financial is very tight and both of us need to work. We definitely need someone to help us take care our LO. But when I say something that's not on my mil's flavour, she get very offensive and start to say she wan to go back Malaysia. Today, we quarrel again, as I having a dinner with my friend, my mil didn't give my LO fruit puree. Usually my LO puree time is about 6pm to 7pm. For me, once the fruit puree is introduced, it has to continue (correct me if I'm wrong). For my husband and my mil, they don't see the fruit puree is a necessary. I can feel that my mil is not agree with the fruit puree (maybe because it's my idea). My mil even comment 'baby eat the fruit puree will become more clever?'. Seriously I'm very uncomfortable with the words she say so. My mil now say that she don't want to help us take care my LO during nighttime after this aurgument. I really feel very dissapointed and stressed by my mil. Mummies, please let me have your opinion... Tell me if I'm correct to insist that the fruit puree to continue on daily basis or am I a stubborn mummy and make the whole words suffer?

- 2021-07-10MIL signed my boy up for a trail music class and only informing me, the mother, only a few days before the class. Had intention to bring my kids back to my parents place though i didnt mention it to her. But She could've ask us first before signing up for any activities since it is our child... you get what I mean? Its respect right... I would say that my MIL is "aggressively" doting on her grandchild so much that it looks like shes the mom instead. But she dont finds that she is doing so...

- 2021-07-10Hi Mommies,
I am currently 18 weeks pregnant.
But my symtmp stops and I feel very active to work. I cannot feel movement of baby too, where a lot of mommies already felt it.
At night very hard to sleep, and keep waking up in between. Is it something I should be worried about? 2 more weeks to visitting doctor, but super worried now :(
