Big baby - 3rd tri

Hi Mummies. Just went for check up at week 29, baby supposed to be 1.2kg only but today already measured 1.4kg. (Size is 2 weeks ahead) I’m only 150cm, how to deliver a big baby! Anyone with similar experience?

Same! I'm 5ft1 but baby has always been on the bigger side even tho I didn't hve GD. I wanted to deliver naturally but at the last min decided to go for e-csect instead as I was still not dilated at all at 39wks and baby was high up. We initially thought tt perhaps my birth canal was too small for him but turns out his cord was wrapped ard his neck during birth, which cldnt be picked up in ultrasound so it was a gd decision to go for csect. Each birth is unique and Ive heard many successful stories of petite mother delivering big baby too, so hopefully urs will be a smooth one! Btw my baby was 3.8kg at birth at 55cm long. It's incredible how he cld fit in my small frame 😅 Blame my hubby's genes.

Hi, have you done your glucose test? . If you don’t have gdm’ then don’t worry much. Just change your diet, tAke less fatty food/ meat. If you really worried about the weight. Try take more fish/ chicken breast and vege/ fruits. 😊👌and change to brown rice. Don’t starve yourself! Eventually it will control your weight gain and have a healthy baby!

Dont worry too much. I think diff gynae has a diff threshold of the weight estimate as well. Mine at wk 28 was 1.1kg he alr told me is on the bigger side. At wk 32 baby was estimated to be 1.8kg. I have GD though. But i dont take rice etc. And we are around the same height. Im just 151 too 😂 hving my check this sat (wk 35+)

don't worry about it! it's only an estimate. my firstborn was est to be about 3kg. when she was born, she was only 2.76kg. I'm 153cm.
