We should have at least 6 months of ML 🤨

- 2023-07-03Hi mummies, I’m a FTM. I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant. Have been having diarrhoea these past few days tho i’ve been having constipation all along. Just kinda worried if it could be any labour symptoms or if it’s just me overthinking & having it due to food poisoning etc ? Do let me know, thanks in advance.

- 2023-07-03Hi mummies !! Any good gynae recommendations ?
- 2023-07-03Im currently 29 weeks, is it mandatory to take calcium everyday, be it pills or milk ?
Since im still under kkh subsidized, different different dr, im not sure if i need to ask for calcium pills or not. As so far they never mention about it.
Only prescribed the normal obimin & DHA supplements.

- 2023-07-03I just entered 3rd trim and notice that quite alot of times i feel like a mild pressure below my ribs, especially my right rib. It doesnt hurt, just like a pressure. Like somethings’ there.
Is it means that baby’s there? Like the leg or something. Cause sometimes quite uncomfortable like i want to push it downwards but that area can be hard at times 😅
- 2023-07-03Hi mummies, im currently 7 months pregnant and living with my in laws.
Those that let their in laws take care of their baby, how do you make yourself trust them to take care of your baby, once your maternity leave ends ?
I dont know why for some reason im very scared of letting my in law take care of my baby when im out for work when ML ends. For fear something will happen to the baby, or theres emergency touch wood, baby choking then she wont know what to do and i dont know how i should feel if she want to bring baby out without me. Like to supermarket etc.
I thought of sending my baby to IFC once she turn 4 months cs like there they are more trained to handle babies cause they have daily experience? Than a mil that never take care of a baby before. but 1. Placement super hard to get 2. I scared i will burden my husband on financial wise. 3. I feel like a bad mom for sending my child to school at such a very young age.
Those mummies that have in law taking care of their baby can give me some advice or share your experience so far. Im always overthinking for the baby’s safety.

- 2023-07-03I’m at 18w now and my gynae says some people only feel at 22w but just wondering is the bubbling feeling or fluttering feeling felt quite superficial or is more like deep inside like cramps kind? Cos I feel something sometimes but it feels superficial close to the skin and not v deep so wondering if that’s the feeling 😂 #firsttimemom

Currently I'm feel nausea and got abit cramp.
- 2023-07-03This is quite a random but important question.
Sometimes HDB have this power shut down for the whole blk for few hours whereby all electricity will be cut off. Which means, including our fridge and freezer.
What if i have quite alot of frozen milk stash stored in my freezer?
To save the milk, can i pack it in cooler bag with reusable ice bags and rush to my mum’s place (30 mins away) and store it back into her freezer for few hours ?
And once power is back at my own house, i pack again using the same step and put back to my own freezer ?
Or its not advisable? Any way to save the milk from going to waste?
If i cant refreeze it in freezer and put in chiller instead, baby wont drink all the milk stash, what will happen to the remaining?
#firsttimemom
- 2023-07-03Hi mummies, ftm here and preparing baby stuff.
Do I need 1 set of breast thermo or best to standby 2 sets. 1 specifically for cold treatment, put in freezer(cold) & 1 for microwave(heat).
I read that if we get painful engorgement, we can use cold therapy first to relieve the pain then heat therapy.
But if i have 1 set, scared i dont have enough time to freeze it when i need the cold therapy. So thought of keeping 1 set just in freezer, another one for microwave.
What do mummies think? Is it necessary ? I dont have experience so abit noob here. Usually will both boob feel engorged at the same time or usually only one at a time ?

- 2023-07-03Hi,just want to find out any recommendations for confinement food & post natal massage. Am 27 weeks now. Not sure where to find a good and reasonable price. . It's way too expensive
- 2023-07-03FTM here trying to breastfeed but not producing enough breast milk 🥺
Baby latches well during 1st 2 days in hospital (without any milk). Just practicing and stimulating my body for bm. However, baby started fussing on Day 2 night. Showing all sorts of sign that he is very hungry. So i had no choice but to top up with formula milk.
After he drank from bottle, he refused to latch any more 😭 At most suck once/twice and cry out loud after realising there's no milk.
Finally, on Day 4..i see some droplets of diluted milk (translucent white). Tried to let baby latch again, but he refused 💔
Now, my boobs are all sore and hard. Tried pumping but still hard and only managed to yield about 10ml of diluted milk. Tried massaging and hand express still 10ml. Not sure if it's colostrum stuck. What should i do? Desperate help needed.
- 2023-07-03Im currently 29 weeks and past few days sometimes once in a while (so far like only 2-3 times) i notice my baby kind of soft kick or little soft jerk in a very rhythmic pattern like a heartbeat for 5 - 10 mins or so around my middle tummy.
At first i thought its hiccup, but previously when i experience baby hiccup, its quite a continuous hard kick like i can really feel and kind of hurts cs it kicks down below quite hard.
Could this be hiccup too, just that hiccup can also be soft kicks and not always hard? Or something else. And this happen when i just woke up in the morning. Not after i eat something spicy.
Kind of worried. But baby still moving well.

- 2023-07-04Hi mommies! I may be 5w5d pregnant (according to my app). Yesterday went to the KKH O&G centre & they did the transvaginal ultrasound scan. Saw the scan and can only see one hole & a tiny little dot. Doc didnt do any measurements & said to come back 2 weeks later. She didnt explain anything but mentioned that “it might be a good or it might not be a good” pregnancy TWICE. She also kept asking if my menses is regular. I left the room feeling confused & kinda upset. Is there anything I need to worry abt. I just think that she mentioned that because she might be expecting a fetal based on the calculation of my first day of my last period. Which should be about 9weeks+.

- 2023-07-04Hi Mummies,
I had my baby boy 4 months back. I am a first time mum and ever since the baby is born, all me and my husband can do is take care of baby and the sleepless nights.
It all gets so tiring that we never think about sex. Every time we have a free window, we just want to take rest as night time sleep is not great with baby.
How do you all manage to still have sex drive with a baby ? I feel like we are always so tired that sex is the last thing on our minds. We both love each other so so much but don’t have energy these days for sex.
Does this get better with time ?

- 2023-07-05From what I know, 1st born passport application is free but this waiver is only until child is 1 year old.
However, even if I apply baby passport with his baby photos his face features might change as he grows so no point applying so early to enjoy the free passport waiver.
Might as well apply passport for baby when he is 3 to 4 years old so child is recognizable to ICA rather than using his baby photo when we go overseas.
Any experience to share ?#advicepls

- 2023-07-05Im currently 29 weeks, baby’s movement starting to get bigger (?) and sharper and sometimes can be painful too.
Is it normal that baby like to move & lean on one side compared to another ? I realised my baby likes to lean or push or kick on my right tummy & rib, compared to my left. My right rib always hurt when baby’s leaning, and my left so far no pain whatsoever. To the point sometimes i need to “manually” push my tummy down abit from my ribs.
Is this normal ? Theres nothing to be worried about right ?

- 2023-07-05Hi all, I had light pink bleeding the last few days (I’m around week 11 now), coupled with abdominal cramps that feel like it’s period cramps. Morning sickness has lessened quite a bit too, not sure if it means the hormone level is falling.
The bleeding is not bright red and it comes and goes, but I’m very worried for my baby. Is there anywhere I can go for an ultrasound to check whether it’s ok? The worry keeps me up at night.
And I’m super grumpy and angry this week, very obvious mood changes - is it normal during week 11?
PS: I’m seeing NUH for my gynae care, but I don’t think I can just call in the main hotline and ask for an ultrasound to check on the fetus 😢

- 2023-07-05Hi, I'm curious to know if hospitals here do continous or intermittent electronic fetal monitoring and which hospital does which?
If mums could share the experiences pls ie which hospital you were at and whether the electronic fetal monitoring belt was strapped on you continously or intermittently. If continously, at what dilation was this done?
I understand that continous electronic fetal monitoring would limit mother's movements during labour. Like mum wouldn't even be able to turn to her side.
Keen to know experiences. Thanks in advance

- 2023-07-06Im currently in 3rd trimester, and want to prepare myself in the event that my milk kicks in very slow or if my milk supply is very low.
For pumping wise, to stimulate more milk.
If baby manage to latch - do i pump after every breastfeed session ? Is it instantly after or wait for few minutes ?
If baby dont know how to latch and milk supply still very low - do i feed baby formula for the time being, but at the same time pump every 2-3 hours to stimulate milk?
If the milk output from pumping session is very very little, do i put in a milk storage bag and leave it in the chiller or freezer ?
Hope mummies can guide me on this

- 2023-07-06Hi mummies, ftm here. Im thinking of packing my hospital bag early, incase anything happens. Currently 7 months.
If i dont have an elective or schedueled csect, i would assume that i would deliver normally. Unless something happens then i need to go for emergency csec. Worst case scenario.
As for hospital bag wise, do i also pack things for csect incase i need it ? Like binder and high waist underwear.
If advisable to also pack for csect, anything else i need to bring?

- 2023-07-06Im currently pregnant and still abit lost on how to wash baby clothes if its soiled.
For us, we would just do laundry every other day or something.
for baby clothes, if its normal laundry, we would just collate and wash maybe every 2-3 days in washing machine.
But what if it’s soiled ? Eg poop/pee or puke. After washing the soiled area off, do i also just handwash the clothes and leave it to dry ? So called wont add on to the laundry basket that i will be washing every 3 days.

Im currently 29 weeks, still under kkh subsidized. My next appointment will be on my 32nd week. (Still under subsidized)
However i recently enquired KKH, to change me to private gynae (gynae of my choice) on my 35th week. And the next available date of the gynae is on my 35th week.
Usually i hear people’s appointment after the 32nd week is 36 weeks but hardly heard their appt on 35th week. Is it too early of interval ? Should i reschedule to my 36th week instead ?

- 2023-07-07Hi Mummies, my 18mo just transit to PG from IFC and has been crying whenever he attend school. I attended the first half day of PG with him and I saw how the teachers are stern with our children, probably that’s what make him scared too. His IFC teachers are really sweet and nice to him, and he probably gets the freedom and trust to play around with the younger ones in IFC, so now he’s in PG and feeling restricted.
For experienced PG mummies:
What’s your PG teacher to child ratio?
Do teachers wash their dirty clothes before putting in the ziplock bag? I realised they don’t wash at all and just pack it in and it stinks the whole bag. Cos my boy still can’t feed himself perfectly and will mess up his clothes.
Also, do they use wet wipes in school when they poop? Cos my son poop and they only spray his butt with the shower head without wiping and rubbing, when he’s back home and I clean him up, I realise poo stain are still there, he must be uncomfortable ):
Are PG teachers usually more stern and strict as they are instilling discipline and instruction to the 2yo?

Especially during dinner time (even if i dont eat too full) and i end up cannot sleep cause no position is comfortable with that kind of feel on my stomach. Lay down on side is uncomfortable, lay on back also same, try to sleep slightly seated also not comfortable.
Helps 😭 im getting lesser and lesser sleep due to my big stomach and no longer able to sleep comfortably.
I dont wish to buy pregnancy pillow as its huge and my bed is not that big

- 2023-07-08Today was my follow up appointment and it’s been confirmed that it’s a spontaneous miscarriage. Fetus was higher up in the uterus but now it’s making its way closer to pass out as per the scan. I was tearing as the doctor mentioned this. I hope it’ll come out naturally. It was not easy to get pregnant and so I’m feeling sad that we have to try again.. I hope no mom’s experience this pain.

- 2023-07-08I am on 3rd trimester now (35 weeks to be exact) - i wouldnt say my mood swing has became bad to worse, but this week itself i have cried and also shouted for like 3 times and for hours…….. this has never happened to me on my 1st and 2nd tri, furthermore whatever hubby say/do somewhat can hurt me in a way, though after i calm down i will think why my reaction was so big & ill also apologise to baby in my womb for behaving such way.
I do read online that whatever our emotion is baby can feel the same now in 3rd trimester.. is that true?
Just hope she doesnt come out being so emo n sad baby😮💨😮💨
Anyone experience the same and bb come out without mood swing? ☺️#firsttimemom ##advicepls pleasehelp
- 2023-07-08I am 24 weeks along. Went for my glucose test today followed by gynae appt. During my gynae appt, my blood pressure was found to be q high at 130/95. Gynae was concerned abt this and my weight gained (2kg in a month) and wanted to monitor me closely:
I went home after and took my own bp and it was 108/78. Was wondering if the glucose test could be the cause of high bp?
