- 2024-06-03Hi all. Am around week 14 now, is it still normal to have food aversion and nauseous feeling when hungry. I can't sleep properly through the night too and always wake up hungry. It is so tiring and frustrating I don't feel happy or excited on most days at all. 😭 thirsty yet unable to stomach much plain water without throwing up as well. Diclectin doesn't work for me. So sick of having to eat at intervals and feeling so bloated after eating. What a vicious cycle 😔
- 2024-06-03Hello!! Has anyone went for the Schönemama/Motherlove Prenatal Massage Trial @$28? How was it? Because im going to and im scared of hard selling or the price not being $28 at the end. How was the massage too? Im going to NEX outlet this weekend.
- 2024-06-03Aptamil Gold is fantastic. My kid has been so much healthier since we started using it. The prebiotics and probiotics have really made a difference in his immunity. I recommend it to all moms!
- 2024-06-03I chose Aptamil Gold because of its added DHA for brain development. Feels good knowing I'm giving him all the nutrients he needs for his growing brain.
- 2024-06-03hi I'm on my 2nd pregnancy also with IUGR, but this time round, it's detected way earlier at wk 20. anyone with similar experiences. I'm really concerned on the possible effects to my baby once he's grown. social development , potential health issues etc. Also, has anyone gotten HL due to IUGR before?
- 2024-06-03I love Aptamil Gold because it contains prebiotics and probiotics, which are so important for my child's health. It's easy to prepare, and my child loves the taste. I wouldn't use any other formula
- 2024-06-03I was hesitant to switch formulas, but I'm so glad I tried Aptamil Gold. My kid's digestion has improved, and I feel confident knowing that she's getting the nutrients she needs to grow and develop
- 2024-06-03Hi All,
Just back from oversea few days back and start having bad diarrhoea for four days already eaten charcoal pill and went to the hospital for a check as feeling very unwell and having bad stomache. However during pregnancy not much medicine can be prescribed. How long would the diarrhoea go off? Currently 16 weeks +. What the fast way to stop the diarrhoea?
- 2024-06-03After trying a few different formulas, we finally settled on Aptamil Gold, and it's been fantastic. My child is happier, healthier, and has had fewer bouts of illness since we made the switch. Couldn't be happier!
- 2024-06-03Hi there i am having my very first pregnancy! I went for first scan last week (supposedly 10w if based on last menstrual date), however the doctor was unable to detect a heartbeat and i was advised to come back in another week to determine if baby has grown. I went to the a&e 3 days later as i experienced some bleeding and then found out that i am actually 6w2d based on the ultrasound and that the foetus has grown slightly. However, still no heartbeat and the gynae in charge mentioned to still come back on the repeat visit.
Today was my repeat visit and after the ultrasound, there was still no heartbeat and baby has not really grown from the last a&e visit (this was approximately 4 days later from the a&e visit when i had the bleeding).
I do not experience much bleeding anymore and the gynae still wants me to come back in another week’s time just to see if the pregnancy is still viable (i would be 7 weeks then). Should i even come again next week or wait till i’m supposedly maybe 9-10 weeks? It’s quite mentally draining when there’s no heartbeat and i feel super anxious knowing what’s the next outcome (it could really still be early). Would love to hear any advice please thank you so much!
- 2024-06-03Aptamil Gold has been a lifesaver for us. My LO has a sensitive stomach, but this formula has been gentle and easy for her to digest. The added prebiotics and probiotics have made a noticeable difference in her gut.
- 2024-06-03Im a first-time mom, and choosing the right formula was important to me. Aptamil Gold came highly recommended by a friend, my child loving it! at first was worried couldn't accept but now drinking happily. always ask me milk milk.
- 2024-06-03My kid loves the taste, and I love the fact that it contains prebiotics and probiotics to support her immune system. I feel confident knowing she's getting the best nutrition.
- 2024-06-03First appt at KKH
- 2024-06-03At first, I was over the moon about being pregnant, but lately, it's been a different story. I've been dealing with hypersalivation, and it's become so overwhelming that I'm ashamed to even leave the house or meet my friends. The constant drooling has stressed me out, and I find myself blaming my pregnancy for it. I'm afraid to go to places that are too "public" or lack toilets or enclosed areas because I'm worried about where I'll have to spit later. I never imagined feeling this embarrassed about something so natural. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you cope? #PregnancyProblems #HypersalivationStruggles
- 2024-06-03Hi there! First time mum-to-be here :) any mummies here who went through NUH private route? How was your experience and any recommendations for a good female gynae? Thank you!
- 2024-06-03I've been grappling with something that's been weighing heavily on my mind, and I'm hoping I'm not alone in this. Lately, during intimate moments with my husband, my thoughts drift to other men. Wanna hear worse? That "other men" is his second cousin. We met couple weeks ago when he visited us in Singapore. Unmarried, his face is my type. Personality is my type. It's not something I ever anticipated, and it's causing me a lot of distress. I want to be fully present with my husband, but these intrusive thoughts keep creeping in. Is this normal?
- 2024-06-03Mummies out there! Any recommendations on what rash cream for my baby bum where it gets red? It is normal for baby to poop more than 5 times in a day? Any suggestions should I bring him to see the doctor??
- 2024-06-03Moms, do any of you have an incredibly annoying mother-in-law? Just now, I was carrying my child, and my child was crying because they were tired, but when I put them on the bed to soothe them, my mother-in-law swooped in and snatched them away. Now I'm just standing here watching my mother-in-law carry my child. It's so irritating, seriously. When I'm bathing my child, she watches me like a supervisor overseeing her employees' work. She comments, "You can't do this, you can't do that." It's frustrating.
Once, I saw her giving banana to my child, and my child was licking it. My child was only 3 months old at that time. I told her not to give the banana, as it's not the right time YET. She replied, "It's okay, just a lick or two won't hurt". Hello???? It's not your child..... And my husband always takes her side, which makes me even more annoyed. I'm not happy that my mother-in-law is taking over my child every day. She wants to carry them all the time, but it can't be all the time.
Whenever I'm carrying my child, she always says, "Come here, I will carry." I reply, "Let me do it." Then she says, "Come here, I haven't carried them at all." But she carries them more often than I do. 🤬😡

- 2024-06-03I just recovered from covid, and my milk supply dropped from 120ml to 70-80ml each pump. I have been drinking lots of water and taking supplyments but it's not working. Has anyone had the same experience? Did your supply eventually come back to normal?

- 2024-06-03Hi
I am going to work soon after being a " half SAHM" for my now 10 months old baby.
My baby has been in IFC since 5 months old as I am working part time.
I am worried my baby cannot adapt to the new routines I am going to work full time soon. Example : baby stays longer in IFC now and going home late with me, changes in timing for bedtime.
Any advice on this ?

- 2024-06-03Just wondering for babies who sleep through the night , do you wake up to change their diapers every 3 hours?
- 2024-06-03FTM 8 weeks. I feel like my chest is growing wider and my bra feels alot tighter. Sometimes I feel like I can't breathe even though i have changed into a wider bra band and clasping the last buckle.
I'm generally bigger chested (E cup) which makes it difficult to buy bras. I sized up for my bra band not long ago but its starting to feel restrictive again, so idk if its because of the wired bra or if I need to size up the band again.
Is it recommended to change to non wired bra or sports bra to help cope it? (But im worried about the support)
Sorry for the long post. Any recommendations for comfy bras? Appreciate the feedback, if any! Thank you in advance!

- 2024-06-03Ive been having flu and cough. Pretty bad. Kept coughing the past 3 days and sneezing non stop too. Sometimes when i cough or sneeze, my lower tummy feels weird and contracts. Very worried it affects my baby inside. Im currently at 17 weeks :(
- 2024-06-03Hi mums, FTM here. Am week 32 and gynae recommends to start perineal massage or buy Epi No. I just tried perineal massage myself yesterday in shower, without any oil and it has a burning sensation. Vjj also felt tight and i dislike the feeling. Any tips?😭

- 2024-06-04Dear mummies ,
My newborn blood was tested with low TSH levels less than 0.01, I’m worried it may affect her brain development according to the PD. It is said by the PD that thyroid antibodies are passed through by the mothers during pregnancy . My newborn is scheduled with an appointment with a specialist in KKH this week. Any mummies have similar situation with their newborns with low TSH levels or thyroid issues ? #advice #firsttimemom

- 2024-06-04Hi mommies, what time do you all usually bath your child? If it was morning, my child is 20mths old. Just like today, he woke up at 9.30am, and I bathe him at 10am...is it not right? It goes like this after I bathe him, my MIL said to him, eh thought he had eaten his breakfast, then I said he just woke up not long ago. And what she replied was he just woke up and you bathe him so early, want him to get sick again is it? Is it wrong to bathe him after he woke up?

- 2024-06-04I feel so demoralised that i cannot really understand and differentiate between my 1 monthold cues. Sometimes she cries and wakesup from her sleep, shows signs of rooting and lipsmacking.. when i feed her, she will tend to spitups even after burps… changed her nappy and she will be whiny either. Sometimes she might fall asleep while i feed her and when i pull it out, she cries for it. Idk if thats comfort latching, she denies the pacifier. I bottlefeed her btw. Feel so worthless and unable to connect to her and its been a month..

- 2024-06-05Hi mummies, FTM here. In my company, I have maternity benefits that covers pre/postnatal check ups.
Does this means that I can claim part of my check ups (up to $900) from Medisave Maternity Package, and the remaining from company’s benefits? Or can I only choose to claim from one of them?
Asking at this forum first as I am still in my first trimester, and yet to let my colleagues and HR know of the pregnancy. But would also like to start planning out my finances.
Thank you! #adviceappreciated #firsttimemom

- 2024-06-06my 10mo baby has been crying more than usual at night to the point husband and i cant get a good sleep
before, it wasnt an issue— he would sleep thru the night and only maybe cry once to be fed or just to pat him to sleep but now it seems to be more difficult to settle him down. our last resort is to co-sleep with him on our bed but he still wails and cries and we have no idea what could be wrong and what else to do.
some of our suspicions for this might be:
- gassy
- hungry
- adapting to new changes in his routine*
*i was LO’s primary caretaker for 10months and we’ve had no issues with his sleep at night— until i had to go to work from 8 in the morning till 6 in the evening, my in-laws’ helper has been taking care of him since i started working this week.
how do i tackle this situation every night? how can i make LO’s sleep more consistent and prevent him from waking up in the middle of the night?

- 2024-06-07Please avoid this confinement nanny aka Qing Jie.
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007006775852&mibextid=ZbWKwL
She claimed to be very experienced.
Being first time parents, we don't really know much and just listened to her. She found our new born baby to be drinking milk too slowly and suggested us to let the baby drink for a bottle with bigger teat size (we really didn't know).
The baby drank the milk with weird squirry sounds but our nanny said it is normal so we continued. Our baby had colic afterwards because of this when we went back to PD.
She also likes to boast and tell other people off when we don't agree with her.
Lastly, her cooking sucks.

- 2024-06-07Hi mama I’m currently pregnant and I’m super insecure about my stretchmarks any tips on making the stretchmarks disappear? #advice #strechmark
- 2024-06-07My mother was taking care of my 3 months old who was very fussy. I went to make formula milk meanwhile she said to my baby are you hungry and put her breast in her mouth and joked baby you won't get milk her. I definitely didnt like it and took her breast out and shouted please don't do this. Am I overreacting? When I again told her not to do this again ever she said you dont understand the joke.
I dont like someone kiss my baby lips or do something like this be it my own mother. How do I draw that line? Its my baby and she loves her grand daughter but these kind of stuff make me angry. Am I wrong?

- 2024-06-08Hi all, my newborn is 2 weeks old and I have low milk supply from beginning and trying to pump and latch but it's not enough so the baby is pretty much fully formula fed and I feel so terrible. Is it bad if my child will be fully formula fed?
- 2024-06-08Dear mummies, I’m feeling devastated with BF. I’m in PP day 8 and my BM just doesn’t flow well. My baby refused to latch as she can’t get milk. I tried pumping and the volume is just so little. Not sure what to do.
- 2024-06-08Dear mummies, I’m in my PP day 8 and my BM is still not flow in fully. My baby refused to latch due she can’t get milk . I tried to pump but the volume just too little. I’m kinda lost and feel like giving up on breastfeeding. Any mummy struggling the same as me?
- 2024-06-08Hi parents! Do you set a wake up time for your babies in the morning? Is a fixed timing important? Sometimes my 9 month old baby sleeps in till 10-11am and I’m in a dilemma if I should wake him up earlier when he is sleeping soundly. FYI, his bedtime is 8-9pm and he has a feeding at 12mn. He then takes 2 naps - total 2.5hrs. Is this too much night sleep?
- 2024-06-08Has any mummies done block feeding before? I am an oversupplier & i am trying to reduce my supply according to my baby needs. He is on a 4-hour gap feed, but my breasts get so full at the 3rd hr. Googled & found out about this blocked feeding. Where you feed only one breast for 1 feeding session. Is there any other way for me to decrease my supply?
- 2024-06-08Hi mummies,

- 2024-06-08Hello all mummies, this is my first time being pregnant and would like to ask for confinement nannies recommendations ☺️

- 2024-06-08I had a myomectomy done in Jan2024 for 1 fibroid, others still remaining, so my cycle is a bit off now moving from 30, 32 days. Had my first scan today but they had issues finding anything at all. Had blood test and showed by hcg levels at 5000. So had scan done with o&g and they found a tiny sac at 0.45cm and dated 5wk2d, but according to my lmp should be 7wks. I'm freaking out... is this because it's not growing as expected? Or is it coz my cycle is off? But such a big diff from 7wks to 5wks.. #firsttimemom #advice
- 2024-06-08Hi! I am wanting to travel to Hokkaido during the 22nd of pregnancy. Does anyone have any advice?
A part of me is wondering if I should give up the travel (though I really want to go and not going makes me sad….) just to be on the safer side (I mean, it would be safe and it saves money as well….). It’s so hard to decide …
So far, my pregnancy is pretty ok in terms of risk just that I guess as a first time mum, there’s that….anxiety….

- 2024-06-08We want the baby but I don't think we're at a good place to provide a healthy environment for baby. He works nights and weekends, I work days on weekdays. He doesn't contribute financially at all to the house or baby. I don't want to fight over the baby and I'm 9 weeks now and worried it'll get worse.
- 2024-06-08First time pregnant and I read some articles that pregnant women are not allowed to dye their hair because the dye will affect the baby. Is it true?
If it is, then how mummies cover their grey hair or even maintain their appearance?
