- 2024-07-01Week 19. FTM
Problems facing currently:
1. Haemorrhoid (the pile comes out even when I lying down or walking), feeling so uncomfortable. Whenever I push it in, I need to suck in my stomach and I worried it will affect the baby inside
2. Unable to pee “as happily as I could” as the pile will come out and I have the fear to push it in as it is painful
3. Midnight disaster due to my hubby’s loud and long snoring. I couldn’t get a good rest
4. Morning sickness lingering around(smell aversion to shampoo, certain food etc)
5. Stress of waking up early for work the next day
6. Don’t have any support from husband and family, no one could understand what I facing now. I could only cry and pray to god but it’s also helpless…
HELP! I feel super depressed as I thought I have overcome the first trimester. Why problems still coming in my second trimester? When can I really enjoy my pregnancy journey??? I feel like giving up!!
- 2024-07-01Hi anyone know if there any free breastfeeding classes tat I can attend on zoom? #firs1stimemom #breastfeeding #classes
- 2024-07-02Hi! My baby is a few days to being one month old and we're facing some new challenges with his daily routine.
1. He used to be drinking 60ml per feed when 2 weeks old, and now seems to have increased to 90ml, but when we feed 90ml it seems he is now dealing with reflux and vomits milk frequently. We pace feed, burp in between, and keep him upright for 15-20 minutes but it still happens. what can we do?
2. Because of the reflux and how we keep him upright, in his age-appropriate wake windows (45-60 minutes), it's 20 minutes feed, 5 minutes burp, 20 minutes sitting upright as we continue to burp, then the wake window is gone already - we barely have been able to do any wake activities before he goes right back to sleep. Is this normal? How can we adjust?
3. We have recently begin to offer pacifier for soothing due to increased fussiness from the reflux issues. He loves it and was a natural at sucking on it. Do I only offer when other methods cannot soothe him? Or do I continue to offer for every nap and sleep time? Do I take it out once he has fallen asleep or just leave it? We are currently planning to wean off and stop by 6 months if possible.
4. If he is sucking on pacifier during sleep, how do I spot hunger cues? How to differentiate between nutritive and non-nutritive sucking?
Thank you for your advice in advance! 😭
- 2024-07-02any mummies getting nausea and vomiting in 2nd trimester ? becos idk if it’s the new prenatals im taking or if i’m starting these new symptoms that were not so prominent in first trimester #firs1stimemom
- 2024-07-02Hi mummies. My 3 week old baby keeps wanting milk every 1-1.5hr. Initially he drinks 60ml every 2-3hrs but we realised that he keeps wanting more milk every 1-1.5hr. So we decided to up his intake to 75ml. Even with the increase in formula milk, he still wants milk every 1.5hr. He still poops normally, no diarrhoea or vomiting. I am doing mix feeding, breast milk and formula. FYI, I’m using Dupro. Should I be worried? #firsttimemom #worried

- 2024-07-03Hello everyone,
I wanted to share my story in the hopes that it might help other expecting moms out there. This is a deeply personal experience, but I feel it's important to raise awareness about the signs of a fetus not developing properly.
A few months into my pregnancy, I started experiencing some unusual symptoms that I initially brushed off as normal pregnancy discomforts. I noticed a significant decrease in my baby's movements. The occasional flutter I once felt became rare and weak. I also had persistent back pain that seemed more intense than what I'd heard was typical. Another sign was unusual and continuous spotting, which made me quite anxious.
Despite these concerns, I tried to reassure myself that every pregnancy is different and that my symptoms were probably normal. However, my instincts kept telling me something was off. I decided to consult my doctor and have some additional tests done.
The ultrasound revealed that my baby had stopped growing and there was a severe lack of amniotic fluid. After further tests, my doctor confirmed that the fetus was not developing as it should and, tragically, had no chance of survival. The hardest decision of my life was made – I had to terminate my pregnancy to avoid further complications and potential risks to my own health.
Here are some symptoms I experienced that I urge every pregnant woman to take seriously:
- Decreased Fetal Movement: If you notice a significant decrease in your baby's movements, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
- Unusual Pain: Persistent and severe back pain can be more than just a normal part of pregnancy.
- Spotting or Bleeding: Continuous spotting or bleeding should always be checked out by a doctor.
- Abnormal Ultrasound Findings: Regular check-ups are crucial to monitor the baby's development and the amniotic fluid levels.
If you ever feel that something isn't right, trust your instincts and seek medical advice promptly. It's better to be safe and have peace of mind.
Sharing this has been tough, but I hope it helps other moms who might be in a similar situation. You're not alone, and it's important to talk about these experiences to support each other through such challenging times.
Take care and trust your instincts.
- 2024-07-03has anyone experienced poor sleeping habit during pregnancy like i did? I wanted to share my story in the hope that it might help other expecting moms who are experiencing similar issues. Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it can also come with its fair share of challenges. One such challenge that I faced was poor sleeping habits, and unfortunately, it had a significant impact on my baby.
During my pregnancy, I struggled with insomnia and poor sleep quality. I would often stay up late, unable to find a comfortable position, and then wake up multiple times during the night. My mind was always racing with thoughts and worries about the pregnancy, and this made it even harder to rest. I dismissed my sleep problems as a normal part of pregnancy and thought they wouldn't have any serious consequences.
As the weeks went by, I began to notice that I was constantly fatigued, irritable, and struggling to keep up with my daily activities. More concerningly, my regular check-ups started to show some worrying signs. My baby's growth rate was slowing down, and there were concerns about the amniotic fluid levels and the baby's heart rate. My doctor explained that poor sleep can lead to increased stress and hormonal imbalances, which can negatively affect fetal development.
Here are some of the key signs that my sleep issues were impacting my pregnancy:
-Constant Fatigue: Feeling extremely tired all the time, despite trying to rest.
-Irritability and Stress: Increased stress and irritability can be indicators that your body isn't getting the rest it needs.
-Changes in Baby’s Movement: Noticing changes in the baby's activity levels.
-Abnormal Check-Up Results: Issues like slowed fetal growth and changes in amniotic fluid levels.
After discussing these concerns with my doctor, I realized the importance of prioritizing my sleep. I made several changes to improve my sleeping habits:
-Establishing a Routine: Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day.
-Creating a Comfortable Sleep Environment: Using pillows for support and keeping the bedroom cool and dark.
-Relaxation Techniques: Practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing and prenatal yoga to calm my mind before bed.
-Limiting Screen Time: Reducing exposure to screens before bedtime to help my mind wind down.
These changes made a significant difference. My sleep improved, and so did my overall health and well-being. Subsequent check-ups showed positive improvements in my baby's development as well.
If you're struggling with sleep during your pregnancy, please don't ignore it. Good sleep is crucial for both your health and your baby's development. Don't hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider for advice and support.
- 2024-07-03As an expecting mom, I've been dealing with the usual ups and downs of pregnancy, but I've also developed some habits that are causing concern among my family and friends.
To help ease some of the discomforts of pregnancy, especially at night, I've occasionally turned to a glass of wine. It helps me relax and sleep better, and it feels like a little treat during a challenging time. Additionally, I've been craving iced Americanos like crazy. The refreshing taste and slight caffeine boost make me feel more energized during the day.
However, I've been warned repeatedly by those around me that consuming alcohol and caffeine during pregnancy could increase the risk of my baby being born with autism or other developmental issues. These warnings have left me feeling guilty and anxious about my choices.
is it true???

- 2024-07-03I've always cherished the time I spent co-sleeping with my baby. It felt natural and comforting to have my little one close to me throughout the night. We had established a routine, and it seemed to be working well for us. However, I now realize the potential dangers involved.
One night, after a particularly exhausting day, I fell into a deep sleep with my baby beside me as usual. At some point during the night, I unknowingly rolled over and ended up partially covering my baby. I woke up to find my baby struggling to breathe and in distress. It was the most terrifying moment of my life. I quickly moved and thankfully, my baby was okay after a few minutes, but those moments of fear and guilt will stay with me forever.
I was devastated by the realization of what could have happened. I’ve always thought I was being careful, but this incident showed me how unpredictable and dangerous co-sleeping can be. I regret not understanding the full extent of the risks sooner.
Since that night, I’ve made the decision to stop co-sleeping. My baby's safety is my top priority, and I couldn’t bear the thought of something like this happening again. I’ve set up a safe sleep environment for my baby in their own crib, ensuring they are close enough for me to check on but with a clear boundary for safety.
- 2024-07-03The scent is good and I had this product before pregnancy since I was trying to cure my old stretch marks but to no avail. I'm currently using it with my bump stretch marks along with the Palmer's Cocoa Butter. As my bump is still growing, I'm getting more stretch marks and I have yet to see the results but overall hoping it'll work. Will update if I see any changes.
- 2024-07-03A few days ago, my baby fell off the bed while I was momentarily distracted. Initially, it seemed like everything was fine. My baby cried for a bit but then stopped and appeared to be okay. I checked for any visible injuries and found none, so I tried to reassure myself that it was just a scare.
However, not long after, my baby started vomiting and became unusually sleepy. My heart sank, and I immediately felt a wave of panic. I knew these could be signs of a more serious issue, so I didn't waste any time. I rushed my baby to the hospital as quickly as possible.
At the hospital, the doctors examined my baby and conducted some tests. They explained that head injuries in infants can sometimes result in delayed symptoms, which was exactly what happened in our case. The doctors monitored my baby closely and thankfully, after some time and care, my baby was okay. #firsttimemom #sharingiscaring
- 2024-07-03Recently, I've started noticing some autism-like symptoms in my baby, and it's made me question if my actions might be contributing to this.
I often let my baby have a lot of screen time because it keeps them occupied and gives me some time to myself. I thought it was harmless, but now I'm worried it might be affecting my baby's development. I also rarely talk to my baby, thinking they won't understand and that it's a waste of time. I now realize that this might have been a mistake, as I've read that talking to children is crucial for their language and social development. And also, whenever something goes wrong, my immediate reaction is to yell at my baby. I know it's not the best approach, but in the heat of the moment, it feels like the only way to handle things.
Oh, if this may add, I've decided not to send my baby to any early childhood programs or baby schools because I thought it was a waste of money. Now, I'm questioning if this decision is affecting my baby's social skills and overall development.
Seeing other kids their age developing differently has made me anxious and regretful. I can't help but wonder if my choices are the reason for my baby's autism-like symptoms. I'm feeling a lot of guilt and fear that I've made irreversible mistakes.
I'm reaching out to this community for support and advice. Have any of you faced similar concerns? What steps did you take to address them? How did you help your child if they were showing signs of developmental delays?
I want to do everything I can to support my baby's growth and development from now on.
- 2024-07-03Last night, I accidentally caught my husband watching porn. We had a huge fight because I felt betrayed. Am I not enough for him? He rarely initiates intimacy with me. Is he not satisfied? Why didn't he just talk to me about it? But he said I have no right to be angry, since he still fulfills his duties as a husband.

- 2024-07-03dear mommies I’m a first time single mom and I’m currently in my 31 week. But why is my belly still so small? Baby is kicking fine. It didn’t bother me at first till people started commenting things like. 7 months??? Why still so small. And that got me to overthink a lot. Kinda hurts my heart . Should I be worried? ( side note I’ve always thought it was normal and fine as I’m quite chubby”) And nowadays I’ve notice I barely have appetite to eat. And sleeping has been so rough. Kept waking up every few hours. Very hard to fall asleep. Is this normal?
- 2024-07-03Is masturbating safe? I’ve been masturbating a lot. With the help of vibrator too. Me and baby daddy separated so sex isn’t in the question but I’m just worried. Will masturbating too much affect my baby?
- 2024-07-03Hello everyone,
I am currently wk14 and i have poor appetite. I have minimal morning sickness hence seldom vomit. Is it still normal to have poor appetite? I am probably only eating the equivalent of 1.5meals a day….
I haven’t gain any weight since the start of pregnancy. Is this a cause for concern? I am worried that baby will not receive enough nutrients. At the same time, food really don’t appeal to me anymore, I only eat a few mouthful of food just to stave off hunger so that I don’t feel nauseous. #firsttimemom
- 2024-07-03My baby head and face and body have a lot of rash building up. The head seem to have some cradle cap, on top of that he keep scratching, resulting in more wounds on the head. Any advice?
- 2024-07-03When you have decided to revamp your website, partnering with a professional web designing Singapore Company can be a game-changer. Engaging experts in web designing ensures that your site is not only visually appealing but also functional, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines. Here’s a detailed look at the process and what to expect when working with a website design company.
The first step in this collaboration is selecting the right website designing company. Start by reviewing portfolios to gauge their design style and capabilities. Look for a company that has experience in your industry, as they will better understand your specific needs and challenges. Additionally, check client testimonials and reviews to assess their reliability and client satisfaction.
Defining Your Goals and Scope
Clear communication is critical when working with a web designing firm. Begin by defining your goals: What do you want to achieve with your website? Is it increased sales, more traffic, or enhanced user engagement? Outline the scope of the project, including the number of pages, required features, and any specific functionalities, such as e-commerce capabilities or a blog section.
Project Planning and Timeline
A reputable website design company will help you create a detailed project plan. This includes setting realistic timelines for each phase of the project, from initial consultation and design drafts to development and final launch. It’s essential to establish milestones and deadlines to keep the project on track.
The Design Process
The web designing Singapore’s process typically starts with a discovery phase, where the design team gathers information about your brand, target audience, and competitors. Next, they will create wireframes and prototypes, providing a visual representation of the site’s layout and functionality. Once you approve these preliminary designs, the company will move on to creating detailed design mockups.
Development and Testing
After finalizing the design, the development phase begins. Here, the website design company’s developers bring the design to life using coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. During this stage, it’s crucial to maintain open lines of communication to ensure the project aligns with your vision.
Before launching, the site undergoes rigorous testing to identify and fix any issues. This includes checking for browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and overall performance. A reliable web designing firm will also conduct user testing to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments.
Launch and Post-Launch Support
Once testing is complete, and you’ve given the final approval, the website is ready to go live. However, the partnership doesn’t end there. A professional website design company will offer post-launch support, including regular updates, security checks, and performance monitoring to ensure your site continues to function optimally.
Working with a website design company in Singapore involves careful planning, clear communication, and ongoing collaboration. By choosing the right partner and actively engaging in the web designing Singapore’s process, you can create a website that not only meets your business objectives but also provides an exceptional user experience. This partnership is an investment in your online presence, driving growth and success for your brand.

- 2024-07-03At 17 weeks, sometimes after meal will be so full that I can’t even stand upright. Happens mostly after dinner. I eat normal 3 meals per day. Portion is normal too like what I usually eat before pregnant as well.
- 2024-07-03My baby is now 3.5 months and we have issue trying to get her to nap during the day. She becomes cranky when she can't sleep and I have tried the usual way of carrying her in arms and patting her but no use. Her daytime nap was only around 30 mins each nap x 3. Does it help if we push forward her sleeping time? I'm worried she will be too tired 😫

- 2024-07-04Just wanna share my experience with all mummies here. I am 36 weeks and 6 days today, and have been leaking amniotic fluid since three days ago. While most online search say leaking amniotic fluid feels like a running tap and your panty liner will be always wet, mine is not that case. My case I will just leak only when I visit the bathroom or when I sit up after lying down for too long, my panty liner is fairly dry. Nevertheless, I decided to call up my gynae and come in for a check which confirm is amniotic fluid leak. Got admitted right away and currently waiting for week 37 to be induced. So mommies, trust your instincts and get it checked whenever in doubt.
- 2024-07-04Hi Mummies,
My boy is 15 months old and from past 2 weeks he has started showing a lot of tantrums during meal times. The tantrums include throwing food, throwing spoon, glass plate etc. he will not eat until we distract him like give him something to play with so that he is distracted and then we feed him.
Is this normal ? Meal times are getting very exhausting and stressful because of this and I am worried.
Any advise please ?

A soft cushion isn't really helping either. Does anyone have any solution or advise from this?

Basic info:
- She’s a mother herself and has 2 kids so she has experience taking care of children. I have also trained her to take care of my baby since 2 months old.
- Can speak good English which is quite rare for Myanmar helpers.
- Can cook well. Trained her to cook Asian dishes. Able to cook baby porridge and noodles too.
- Able to do housework proficiently. My cleanliness standard is quite high so she has undergone my training.
- Able to go weekly grocery shopping on her own.
She’s a fresh helper when we hired her so we really trained her well from scratch, which is really the challenging part of hiring a helper (speaking from experience). Saves you the bulk of the training part because she already know the basics.
If you are interested, please reply here and I will provide how you can contact me to share more.
Thank you.

- 2024-07-05Hi there
Does anyone have any experience with their toddler aged 2 to 3 years old having peg shaped teeth? My little one has two teeth that are peg shaped and two at the bottom.

- 2024-07-05It’s 18 weeks for me, first-time mum to be. While the physical symptoms are much better, the emotions are a tough one to manage.
I guess it’s a mixture of my own work (stressful, long days), feeling alone (we are planning and managing on our own since our families can’t really assist much), planning for what happens next (caregiving plans, duties, my own masters that is to be completed while I’m on maternity) and uncertainty (hubby may be changing job during the third trimester).
I feel like an emotional wreck this week and was completely exhausted after some tough days at work. It’s hard to name these emotions / tell hubs about it - which tbh, he may not exactly understand either…..
Any tips from anyone? 🥺
- 2024-07-05FTM here. Should i get s1 or dual compact? One is hospital grade and another isnt. However s1 is very bulky, and not convenient to bring for work…

- 2024-07-05Hr told me too book my maternity leave early I told them tht I wanted to wait till I give birth to apply but they say that no one does that. They force me to give a date so I just told them I'll be starting it on my due date then.
My gynae has told me tht I won't go above my due date as I have gestational diabetes. But since I book the date for maternity leave on my due date do I have to inform them I gave birth earlier still or just let them start my maternity leave on my due date?
I still have a lot of annual leave that I apply before due date. N my job is a retail job but some how it's so hard to use my annual leave. By the time I come back from maternity leave it will be block period meaning no one can use annual leave till end of year. Then starting of the new year I will only have 3 month to clear my leave before it's burn. In tht 3 months it's hard to take long leaves as my annual leave can't clash with others. I'm stress and don't know what to do. Any advice for me?

Dr James Lee has a private practice walking distance from near my place @ Punggol. Reviews say that he charges around $500 per visit, but my husband's company allows claiming of up to $5K for gynae visits so cost is covered😀 That aside, wondering how's his professionalism and expertise? TIA🙏🏼

Seller confirmed all parts can be sterilised however it is not advisable to prevent crack.
I am confused.
- 2024-07-06I’m 6 weeks pregnant in my first pregnancy, my hormonal changes are really bad that I’m not only popping many acnes but I also start to feel really bad breath everyday. Doctor say it is hormonal change but the bad breath and nausea is making me sick. Does anyone here faced the same issues as well and how do you make yourself feel better? My energy level is so low I almost can’t work at all

- 2024-07-06I am now 5 weeks pregnant. I have been taking folic acid consistently since April, even before TTC, 1 pill every night before going to bed.
It was only today that I read online that... absorption is not good at night but morning as it's most efficient!
I feel terrible now as I'm wondering if the past 3 months of taking folic acid religiously has gone to waste??😭
From today onwards I will surely take it every morning instead🤦🏻♀️😫
