Reply to your comment as I cannot post on the thread: I didn’t breast feed on the first day because I told the nurse I wanted to rest after the delivery. It’s important to rest first and gain back your energy after delivery. The lactation consultant only came on the second day. She taught me how to latch and massage. Milk will slowly produce in a few days later. I just try to pump and latch which will slowly signal your breast to produce milk. It might be painful and sore at first but hang in there! Don’t worry if there’s no milk yet. Your body will work on it! And every women’s body is different. Don’t compare yourself with others and don’t stress yourself. I had blocked duct and it caused engorgement so I booked an appointment for breast massage about a week later after delivery. The masseuse opened up my duct, advised me accordingly and my milk started to flow out already.

Mine only produce milk after delivery! I didn’t have milk or colostrum before delivery. Don’t worry. The more you worry, the more stress you will be. When you are feeling stress, it will affect your milk supply. Just relax and let nature takes its course! There’s always food and supplements to help you to increase milk supply. Also, from what I understand from my masseuse, boobs size doesn’t matter. Doesn’t mean big boobs = more milk too or small boobs = less milk.
