- 2022-01-03My 2.5 month old seems to have dropped her milk intake significantly this week. The previous week she was able to take about 600ml a day but this week her intake dropped to 500ml a day. Worried as her recommended intake for her weight is about at least 700ml a day. Her weight gain/headcircumference gain has been on the slow side😔
Any one also experienced this or know whats happening?

- 2022-01-03Hi, I’m with second child now and is worried because during my first, it was natural birth with epidural. However, doctor found spinal fluid in the IV drip and I ended up having to lie down flat for 8-9 days after discharged. The headache is very scary. They said it’s because it punctured my spinal or something like this so the liquid back flow to my brain. Anybody encountered this? Thanks.

- 2022-01-03I just delivered my first baby with Dr Tan Kai Lit at Thomson Medical Centre recently.
During my entire pregnancy, Dr Tan was very knowledgeable and helpful. He always answered our enquiry patiently. He and his teams, Gladys and Rosalind, always welcomed us with a warmth smile.
When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, Dr Tan and his nurse, Gladys, quickly arranged the necessary arrangement for me to learn on the dietary restrictions. They always followed up with me to ensure that I'll be able to deliver a healthy baby.
As I am rather petite, My husband and I decided to delivered through c-section. Before the operation, Gladys recommended me to get the binder from Dr Tan which I have no regrets in getting it. It helps me in my recovery. During the operation, we were very impressed by Dr Tan's skills. I was able to walk on the second day of the operation without feeling uneasy.
Dr Tan's fees were rather affordable compared to other gynae that I have heard of. Rosalind shared with us Dr Tan's package and we immediately signed up without hesitation because we knew that we will be in good hand.
Till now, we have no regrets in engaging Dr Tan as our gynae. Strongly recommend to those who are looking for experienced and skillful gynae. We will definitely ask Dr Tan to deliver our second child if we have one in the future.

- 2022-01-03This kids cum adult version — QV Cream (as attached in pic) is also fantastic. Used both versions for my kids as they suffer from eczema since v young with bad flare ups. Both versions are fantastic for eczema prone skin, also recommended by skin doctors at KKH. Used it on myself and it is moisturizing but DOESN’T leave that heavy, sticky and yucky feel that I dislike.

- 2022-01-04My 3-month old LO has just started infant care today and she is not drinking her usual milk intake of 120ml every 3 hours. She only drank 20ml for one feed and 50ml after. Is this normal for babies who just entered IFC? How long will they adapt?
- 2022-01-04My mum wants me to confinement at her place however I chose to do it at my own home as I felt ill be more comfortable but my mum don't have the luxury to come over all the time so my husband had my MIL to stay over during my confinement. But my MIL can't be alone (don't know why) so she need to have at least one of her children to accompany her.
And my whole confinement was hell. I ended up doing almost everything on my own. I shower my baby, heat up my own meals, clean my home all while she and her children just watch TV the whole day. I had to hide in my own room all the time because I don't feel like it's my home. Even when she tried to feed my baby, it will always be 50% lesser than what my baby normally drink and she will say baby doesn't want but she don't even bother trying. I couldn't take it so I told my husband thankfully he took leave on the 2nd week so he told his mum to go back. But only for the 2nd week, afterwards, she had to come back cause I'm still in confinement, it became worse since im sure she thinks I'm the one that "chase" her home. I had to endure the "black face". And being questioned like why am i not giving water to my baby. Worse still, I really don't appreciate how she will always pass my baby to her children to carry without even asking me. I feel like I'm a slave for them..
How do I get rid of this feeling... I don't wanna be stress and affect my baby. #pleasehelp

- 2022-01-04I just dont know who to rant to,so i just rant it out here.I'm living with my PIL and all my BIL/SIL,total people in the house including my family is already 9-10 people in a 4 room unsanitary house. Can you imagine how overcrowded it is plus i'm currently pregnant and giving birth very soon. Everything in this house i settle, starting from applying my SIL for ITE,applying financial support for my young BIL,Chas card etc,all those paperwork stuff i have to do while i have to look after my one year old son. When i asked them to look after him for while i apply all the stuff they only look after him for about 30 minutes then they will be on their phone or they pass him back to me.Eating is the same, when i eat no one looks after him so all the while my son keeps crying and asking me to carry him, they ignore and play with their phone. When he's not around, they find him, when he's around they ignore him.Now the bigger problem is,i really cant stand living here anymore, still waiting for my rental housing letter to come which never did and its not because of the cats living here(smelly, smelly cats.Because i have pregnancy nose, they smell like straight up garbage and dont get me wrong i loooovvveeee cats, just not their cat)its because i just caught my son putting a cockroach in his mouth and my MIL laugh it off thinking its a joke when all i think about is how disgusting it is and it will affect my son's health.I can't risk my second child going through the same thing like my first born did and its pissing me off how unsanitary this place is and we are literally trapped in four walls, meaning our room is the only safest place i can think of and its not an ideal place for him to grow. I want to cry and rant to someone but i have no one to talk to.
- 2022-01-04Hi mummies my 2mths LO has been acting weird nowadays, normally when i put him to sleep he can sleep untill feeding time, nowadays he will sleep only 10-15 mins and suddenly cry again.. - 2022-01-04Before I got pregnant even till before I give birth, I underestimated the love I have towards my baby. Back then when taking care of my niece/nephews, I get annoyed and impatient really quickly. Now my baby keeps me awake all day long and occasionally cries yet I feel happy. I became really protective of my baby (first baby).
My mil keeps asking my husband to bring my baby to see his grandmother (which we probably visit during new year and the last is 2 years back). I have no issues, but my baby is barely a week old. She hasn’t got her vaccinations done nor is her immune system built up yet, I’m really worried and annoyed. Is it wrong for me to feel this way?

- 2022-01-04Hello. I am planning to start a new job and get pregnant too. But I don't wish to tell anyone before 3 months pregnant. I am a very superstitious person, hence would like to wait till 3 months stable. I'm afraid my morning sickness will expose me. Can anyone please suggest what can i say if i happen to feel nauseous?
My previous morning sickness wasn't so bad. It's only bad when I smell some specific foods. Usually first two mths, it's hard to tell what kind of food i feel nauseous. That's why I'm hoping for some advices which i can tell my colleagues.
Thank you so much for helping. 😁
- 2022-01-04Hi mummies,
It has been really difficult to feed my 2 month old baby recently. Baby drinks expressed breast milk. He fuss and cry when drinking and it’s really stressful and difficult to feed him. My husband and I will put him on shoulder to let him cool down and burp him in between the feed. But baby still fuss and gets angry whenever we continue feeding him. Sometimes unable to finish the milk.
Any idea what’s the cause? (I tried to introduce new bottle but he’s still the same.)

Until our nanny comes over to carry him then he stopped crying immediately. Both hubby and I were upset and losing confidence of taking care of our LO after our nanny leaves. Any advice....

- 2022-01-05Hi fellow mamas, need your advices. I'm so stressed up. My LO is 3m+. Currently going through leap 3. She us refusing to drink from the bottle for the past 3 days. Will cry and scream when the teat is in her mouth. Only the midnight feed works when she is super hungry and tired. I am a low supply mum, so she definitely isn't consuming enough. She had about 5 to 6 wet diapers for now. Her weight is decreasing. She is very okay with latching. Please help!
- 2022-01-05I'm sorry everyone, I need to rant out here if not I can go crazy. My both parents in law down with bad cough for few days and my 1st twin son who is 15 months old has historys of Broncholitis as well as RSV. So till now his immune system not strong. I angry with my parents in law as they never wear mask at home nsver cover mouth when cough, never was and sanitize hand before and after carry or touch my son. So my son now his broncholitis comes back.. bad phlegmy, chesty cough. Told my husband nicely to advise his parents, he scold me instead. He blame me for being good for nothing and useless mother that cause son sick. He blames the school too for hygiene purpose. Seriously? Why I get the blame?

- 2022-01-06Is is normal to overthink about the possibilities that may go wrong when i send my kid to nursery? It's just his first week. I keep overthinking about what if the teachers lose patience and can't handle my kid anymore. It's killing me now. I don't know what to do.
- 2022-01-06Are you comfortable with your child's day care center? Do you ever drop in unannounced just to check on your son or daughter?
- 2022-01-06Hi ladies. I went for my first prenatal checkup at 7 weeks 5 days. When my Gynae did a pelvic scan when she couldn't locate baby via ultrasound. She found my baby too small and unable to detect the heartbeat. I was so worried. Gynae gave me hormone tablets to aid in baby's growth, calcium and folic acid and to see her back in 10 days time. She did mentioned, of course, the worse scenario, which all mums wouldn't want to hear. I'm so worried. Has anyone encounter this experience before? Thank you 🥺

- 2022-01-07My second born is 10 months old now, whereas my first born is 3 years. Since i got pregnant with my secondborn, i lost alot of weight during my first tri & did not gain as much as i did with my first. Postpartum wise, i keep losing weight up to now, i’m also doing tandem as my 3 y/o also wants to latch. My lowest was few weeks ago 39.3kg. I’m on the petite side and my normal weight is about 44-45kg. Now hovering around 40-41.
Is it normal to lose weight with breastfeeding? I am eating alot…so much more than when i was pregnant. Wondering if I should start taking mummies supplements? And are there any recommendations?

- 2022-01-08I am in my 2nd trimester. So i am making a conscious effort to sleep on my left side ( since its the recommended position)
Initially i just used a bolster to help me, but i am aching so much that i decided to get one of those pregnancy pillow. But it is still not helping!
I woke up in the middle of the night, having aches on the left side of my body. Especially my arms and my left pelvis area!
Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any advices?

For my 1st child i went to poly when we are 10 weeks alongs as we test for the pregnancy kit quite late. 1st and 2nd we went to kkh. This round we intend to go nuh.

- 2022-01-08Hi, my baby is currently at 9 weeks old and the total daily milk intake has been reduced quite a lot since 3 weeks ago. The baby was drinking 650ml - 700ml and currently that has brought down to 450ml - 500ml (Baby can rarely hit 500ml a day). Baby can only drink 60ml - 90ml at a time. At 2 month check up, PD told me that it’s hunger strike and is not concerning since the baby is growing and no sign of health issue as well. PD also advised me to dream feed the baby if I want to increase the daily milk intake to meet the minimum daily intake (weight is 5kg) but the baby does not drink when sleeping. When I tried to feed more often, baby refuses the bottle and cry very hard. I feed 6 - 7 times now on baby’s demand.
I have tried three different brand’s bottle, tried bigger teats, and three different formula milk but the situation still remains the same.
Is this normal and will the intake increase eventually? Did you do anything special to increase the milk intake?
It would be great to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
