- 2024-01-15Hi mummies! Can we stick mosquito repellant patches (e.g cloversoft’s) around our newborn? Not on skin but on clothes, cot etc. My area was just declared a dengue cluster and I would like to try and protect my LO as much as possible! Any recommendations? Thank you!
- 2024-01-15I was a divorcee mom before i remarried. My current husband do provide for my children but never bother to have a relationship with them. He only loves his own children. Yesterday my child (from previous marriage) played with my child with my husband and the child cried. My husband started saying “you’re dumb you’re just plain dumb. Brainless.” Exactly his words to my child. I got really mad i fought with him. Am i in the wrong for being very emotional about this? He confronted me for scolding him infront of the kids and asked why am i so upset because to him he just scolded my child nothing more. I said because he called MY CHILD dumb for something very minor. His reply “u wanna start differentiating children now? Sure” if only this is just a normal relationship where i can just walk away and not look back. He thinks he did nothing wrong and didn’t even bother to apologise
- 2024-01-15Hello Mamas,
I would like to enquire regarding how frequent the appointments will be at KKH private once we reach 28 weeks?
Thank You in Advance
- 2024-01-15Hi mummies!
My baby girl is 8 weeks old today and I am wondering if she’s sleeping too much! Currently she wakes up every 3 hours to feed and is always very on time. She has at least 8 wet diapers and poops at least 2-3 times a day. However, she isn’t able to stay awake for long, often sleeps right after her feed. Many times she can’t even stay awake to burp, but will start fussing maybe 1 hour in to her nap due to reflux / gas. We hold her upright for at least 30-45 minutes even though she’s asleep. Is this normal? Do they still sleep so much at 8 weeks old?
How do you squeeze in tummy time or activity time with barely any wake windows?
Thank you!

- 2024-01-15At 38 weeks my baby is weighing 2.4kg. Doc say she’s small. Although she’s healthy and moving I am not leaking he checked and also did membrane sweep all is well (1cm dilated only), he still recommended an induction. I honestly feel it is no necessary. He mentioned water levels for baby is on lower side, and small so induction is best. Honestly I think he was being pushy then necessary! I’m on government route btw so not my personal gynae. What do you guys think? I have to go back on Wed to scan again because he did not want to issue me a longer HL yet.

- 2024-01-15Hi, FTM here. Just wondering, for full-formula fed baby, how to air travel? Logistics like, where to get hot water during the flight; how to sterilise bottles when overseas etc.
Thinking of travelling but the thought of all these logistics prevent me from having further thoughts 😅

- 2024-01-16Since my son is born, my mil each time she see me carry my son, in less than 1 min she will ask me to pass to her. Then if my son finds me she is not happy, will grumble say he sticks to me. But everyone around me say my son is not those who scare of strangers. He went to my company team bonding and my colleagues also carried him. My mil is the only one who keep complain he stick to me. Even now he is two, I carry him she will ask me put him down. Even in the carpark, he is so short, how can she expect me to let him walk in the carpark. Then if we go put together, any other persons carry him she never say anything. The moment I carry him she ask me put him down or called him to her side... what is she trying to do??? Its making me feeling very uncomfortable.#firsttimemom #pleasehelp #advicepls
- 2024-01-1640 weeks today guys, still no signs of labour. Have an appointment today to see DR. I don’t want to get induced like my first 🥲🥲 I’ve walked, done squats & bounced on yoga ball. Even had intercourse even tho it’s damn uncomfortable 😂 but my baby girl just doesn’t wanna budge. Anyone knows if I can choose to be induced at 41 weeks 3 days later? It will be my late mom’s birthday.. if gonna give birth later than my due date rather try on a a day that’s meaningful for me right? (Even tho there’s a high likely chance that she might come out naturally before that ) but is 41 weeks 3 days too long to be pregnant? #pleasehelp #advicemommies #advicepls

- 2024-01-16Is it safe to put baby in carrier for day naps for 2-3 hours? I need my hands free to do work. Mine is a Konny baby carrier. I’m always afraid that her spine will be curved or affected or it will be too restrictive for her to move? Are there any concerns?

- 2024-01-16Anyone else feeling the same? It's so uncomfortable. I think it might be due to the iron in the prenatal vitamin? I'n ensuring that I drink enough water and eat my fruits, but it doesn't seem to be working :(

- 2024-01-17Hello mummies, FTM here. Do you set specific timing for LO’s nap / bedtime or you let LO sleep whenever he or she is tired?
My LO is currently 2 and a half months going to be 3 months soon. In the day, she would nap as and when (especially after drinking milk- milk drunk). The naps sometimes would be quite short like 30mins, sometimes it may be an hour or more.
So during the day she would probably nap 3 -4 times and then at night - we always go to bed at 830pm, but she would fuss. When she is in good mood, by 930pm she would sleep but when she is fussy, the latest she sleep would be 1130pm close to 12am.
Throughout the night she would wake up (twice) for feeds and diaper change (so far it’s always ~230am - 3am and ~530am -6am). She would officially wake up at ~1030am or 11am.
- 2024-01-17Just thought i’d share my experience as a second time mom because caring is sharing. Learnt that a good prenatal, postnatal massage makes all the difference. For my first one, I decided to save some money and go for word of mouth recommendation. I ended up with sore boobs and I didn’t lose my postnatal weight for more than a year. It took me close to 2 years to get back in shape.
This time round, did more homework and decided to give CK Bidan a shot. I read through the testimonials and finally decided on Bidan Kynna. The experience is wow! Within 3 days of massage, i’ve seen the difference in my figure and on the first day she managed to get rid of my engorgement issues. She truly has a magical touch. For moms out there who have the same issues as me, do give her a try. Just wished I had the same experience with my first 🥲
- 2024-01-17What should I do I don't know Braxton Hicks or contraction. Give birth on Feb 2024
- 2024-01-17Last week I found out that the skin ard my vagina was largely tender and raised. I brushed it off thinking it could be nothing. Two days later, it became so red, itchy and the skin was shedding. There was a white cast on the skin. My husband googled and said it could be a yeast infection. I read that high estrogen could alter the balance of bacteria and yeast, causing this. We also found that tea tree oil could help so I started using it . Though it helped with the itch, using it neat made me uncomfortable. The oil was very hot. Later I found that I should have diluted it w a carrier oil. When I did, I felt so much better.
Today is my 6th day. While I did go to the GP on the 4th day and was prescribed a broad spectrum anti fungal cream, I just wanted to share that tea tree oil also works. Just putting it out there because I couldn't find any related post about this when I was searching.

- 2024-01-17Hi mummy, i’m in week 12 and i tried to drink more plain water but it’s so difficult to take. I find it easier to drink juice and honey lemon/plum drink. I think i end up only having max 4 glasses of water a day and the rest of water intake from flavored drinks. Is this normal? 😭

- 2024-01-18Hi Mummies,
My boy will be 10 months old soon and I am curious to know when is the right time to start toothpaste for him? I already clean his teeth with the finger brush but I just use water currently.
I am concerned that if I use toothpaste now and he doesn’t know how to spit, the paste will remain in his mouth. How do you mummies deal with it ? When is the right time to introduce ?

- 2024-01-18Hi mummies, please dont scold or bash me as im a first time mum and still learning.
I know we shouldnt swaddle baby once they have started to flip. But my almost 4 months old need to be swaddled for him to sleep else he will cry murder. And yes we’re using white noise etc but the important thing is swaddle.
We’re using the velcro swaddle. Sometimes his hands would break loose. Sometimes its fine. Past few days altho he has learnt to flip, he still sleep peacefully without moving much.
However this middle of the night to me surprise,
I heard a cry thats unusual. So i woke up instantly and he was already flipped on his tummy, and his face was facing down! And he was struggling. Really thank god i woke up on time else theres a chance he might suffocate himself. Altho he knows how to flip, sometimes when he’s tired or sleepy, he woulnt be able to lift his head much and would end up face down.
Any mummies experience same thing and any tips to make sure he wont flip when he sleep?
And also he’s down with bad cough i think thats what made him woke up in the middle of the night, which usually he would sleep through the night.

- 2024-01-19Hi, my baby doesn't know how to eat food like finger food (the kind of food we hold, bite, chew). He will try to put the whole thing in his mouth instead. So i have to many times break the food into small pieces. He's 15 months. Should i be worried?
- 2024-01-19Hi Mummies. I'm in my 36 week +1. Just stop taking aspirin yesterday. Had my Gynae appt today. Blood pressure was high. Total of measuring blood pressure till 4th time then the clinic staff say it was OK. Gynae mention there was a trend of going upward for my blood pressure. Might need/possible of delivering early or c-sect if it continues, but say we try to tahan and monitor first see how it goes.
Any suggestion how I can keep my blood pressure low? Understand from Gynae is caused by pregnancy and not based on what we eat...
Any mummies experiences the same as me, but manage to bring the blood pressure down and maintain it...

- 2024-01-19Hi mummies, my baby just turned 5 months old 2 days ago and he suddenly became super fussy and refuses to sleep in his crib. He used to be able to fall asleep on his own and sleep through the night but ever since he turned 5 months old he will wail super loudly when being placed down on his crib, and refuses to sleep except when being carried. He also suddenly dropped in his milk intake.
He’s currently coughing a little bit and having a bit of congestion, so I’m not sure if that’s why. But the change is super drastic so we’re a bit worried. Any mummies faced the same issue??

- 2024-01-19Yesterday my baby was 4 months old. MOTN he flipped twice after I changed his diaper while I wasn't looking and landed on the floor. He cried when he fell, his face hit the pail on the floor. Luckily he landed on his hands and his head did not hit the floor. Later he was on tummy time and I guess he was tired and he fell forward, his face hitting on a toy I placed there for him to see. He did not cry, but his face was a little red.
Later my mil asks me to cut his nails, but it's a little short and I accidentally cut his flesh and he cried. It bled v long as well. 😭😭😭 I feel like a useless mother. Can't do anything properly...

- 2024-01-19Hi. I just recovered from mastitis, and now my boobs are having clogged ducts again. I am not direct latching, and giving my baby expressed milk. I pump every 3 hours. I realise I am oversupply. How do I reduce my supply? I am tired of having to deal with frequent clogged ducts :(
- 2024-01-19Is it normal when baby is sick they tend to drink lesser milk? Like sometimes can finish sometimes only half the intake then reject.
Baby is fully bottle fed
- 2024-01-19Hi Mummies!
I'm currently with KKH subsidized route and I was wondering if anyone here knows any clinic that does private ultrasound scan? I'm just itchy finger and just want to see my baby again (or at least more often as I like without waiting the long appointments at KKH) Hopefully someone can intro 😊
- 2024-01-19Hi all, I’m expecting my first kid and am traveling to Bangkok. Wondering what new born baby stuff is worth buying there? Any items in particular is cheaper

- 2024-01-19Recently i had a meltdown. Something triggered me reminding me of something terrible that happened in the past. I cried but I wiped the tears as quickly as I could. Instead of consoling, my husband confronted me for being that way. He knew i cried. My eyes were red swollen. The next day, he went to his sister place because she also had an episode. Except that she was crying and hitting her head against a pillow possibly talking to herself and someone had recorded her. Spent the entire day there trying to console her. I may not act like the sister but i also do have the same thing happened to me just that nobody recorded it. Am i being petty for being emotional thinking he doesn’t care about me? A lil context - sister is an adult same age as me, doing well. Just that she deals with stress differently by screaming shouting banging head i deal with it by crying in silent by concealing it, nobody would even know i am hurting.
- 2024-01-19I will be traveling with my 9 months old.
How should i prepare for her food?
If instant food, how should i reheat it?
Is there any portable cooker?
I rly have no idea so any tips would help!!
- 2024-01-19I’m 38 this year and this is my first pregnancy. It’s a pregnancy ive been praying for and I’m so happy it happened. Due to my age, I’m very nervous about the gynae appointment I’ve scheduled next week, it’s such a mixed feeling of happiness and anxiousness. I’m feeling nauseous and some tiredness during the day but still manageable. I hope everything will turn out fine at my first scan.. any mummies feeling the same?

- 2024-01-20Hi all! Any review on the Joie Parcel Signature Stroller? :)
Or any other recommendations that fit our needs:
1) Can be folded with one hand into compact size
2) light weight (less than 7kg)
Was looking at the Joie Baggi 4WD drift as well but it doesn't fold as compact as the Parcel.
Thank you!

- 2024-01-20Hi mommies. It’s my first pregnancy and I’m at my 5 weeks 3 days.
Feeling quite worried because I don’t experience much symptom ever since Dr confirmed my pregnancy.
Used to feel nauseous before I discovered I am pregnant. Now I’m only experiencing cramps that comes and goes every 1-2 times a day. The soreness of my breast have also lessen.
Should I be worried? My first check-up at KKH is in 2 weeks.

- 2024-01-20Hi can any mum share on how you start your baby on solid food if they are at the infant care? Understand that we need to monitor them for allergy reaction when introducing new food. My baby is currently at infant care and we are not sure how to start solid for her since she’s in school most of the time.
