How to start solid if baby is in infantcare?

Hi can any mum share on how you start your baby on solid food if they are at the infant care? Understand that we need to monitor them for allergy reaction when introducing new food. My baby is currently at infant care and we are not sure how to start solid for her since she’s in school most of the time.

Start on weekends where you can give solid/puree like egg custard (Heinz), Gerber, Cerelac. In this way you can see the allergy. Give about a week or two then get the teachers to start what you begin with from home. Then slowly venture with other food. You must inform the teachers what baby has been consuming and what they can also start from school. Do keep a lookout for signs of allergy if there any for safety.

Food will all be prepared by school. If there are strict dietary or allergies in your child, you may inform teacher and they will ask the cook to do a separate dish for your child. However, there are some centre that do allow outside food preparation but rarely that happened unless allow by the centre policy.
