- 2023-09-25Hi mummies, FTM here. I'm worried because my 6 week old baby who was initially taking 120-130ml EBM per feed has not been able to finish the bottle right after our nanny left yesterday. He's now only drinking 80-90ml, and fusses a lot. Could this be colic? What should I do?
- 2023-09-25Any of your baby keep sucking pacifier and refuse milk?
She can suck pacifier like the whole night.
What could be the meaning? Im scared she keep sucking pacifier for hours then will become gassy.
Whenever the pacifier drop from her mouth, she will wake up -..-
It happened last night, i hope she is not today.
- 2023-09-25I went thru emergency c-section and currently my husband takes care of our baby fully, with the help of my MIL too, while i recover. It’s been a week.
My baby is on full FM.
Is it normal that i don’t feel the bond with my baby? Even when i bottle feed him once in a while or hold him, i dont feel like he’s my baby. I feel like im just helping someone else’s baby. I don’t feel the “love” or connection with him. And when he cries, only my husband and MIL can settle him down.
I tried doing skin to skin but baby cried.
Plus i am not enjoying motherhood. Altho im not doing much as a “mother”.
Im worried baby won’t know who’s his mother and would take it as im just a stranger, especially when he’s starting to recognise smell
Anybody went thru the same ?
#FTM #firstbaby
- 2023-09-25Since Im a ftm, im not sure how feeding goes. Baby is on formula fully. Hospital feeds baby 30ml, and so we also followed the amount when we’re back home. But after a few days, we realise baby kind of still hungry even after feeding or minutes after feeding. He would either cry or keep smacking his lips or his mouth looking for something.
Do i slowly increase his intake by 5ml 5ml ? I tried feeding him 40ml and he finishes it quite fast.
How do i know when to increase intake and if the intake is suitable for my newborn? He’s only a week old btw.
How much milk do your newborn take ?
#firstbaby #advicepls
- 2023-09-25For newborn, a week old, do you feed them strictly every 3 hours, even when theyre sleeping or just feed on demand, only when he wakes up and starts crying or showing signs of hunger ? Especially night feedings.
And by on demand usually roughly how many hrs ?
- 2023-09-25I am already 16 weeks coming to 17 and I just happen to see my loose powder contain paraben 😅 wondering if any mommies also stick to their own makeup or they change their make up the moment they knew they were pregnant
- 2023-09-25My csection waterproof bandage can be removed tomorrow, on day 8 post delivery, as per kkh nurse. However, my incision still hurts. Is it normal?
Im so scared they open and its exposed and open back or something. Since after the waterproof bandage they say can shower as per normal etc.
At which day post delivery did your waterproof bandage removed and incision no longer covered ?
And does it hurt when in contact with water ? Im so scared cs its weird how the stitching healed in just a week.
#FTM
- 2023-09-25Hello, my baby is 9 days old and we noticed that she tends to cough during her feeds (bottle feeding using pigeon soft teat bottle). When she coughs, we will remove the bottle for her to rest and she will stop coughing.
Anyone has the same experience? Is it of any concern? Or is it a bottle issue?

- 2023-09-25Im having very bad engorgement so my masseuse told me to put cold cabbage on my breast and leave it in the bra for a while.
Is it normal for the cabbage to smell rotten after awhile ? 🤮 man the smell on my bra cannot even be removed even after scrubbing and the smell lingers.
And when using the cold cabbage, can even smell thru my top and somebody said it smells like rubbish
- 2023-09-25Can we go to baby’s jaundice appt by day 8 post csect operation? I can still walk slowly, just scared if it’s safe for my incision
- 2023-09-25Did you eat anything to make your csect incision heal faster ? Or is there any tips for it to heal faster
- 2023-09-25Is it normal for the right end of your csect incision to hurt more than the rest?
- 2023-09-25How to know engorgement has subsided ?
I experienced very bad engorgement and my whole boob was lumpy, rock hard and very painful.
After massage, my breast became soft again and no longer painful, does that mean the engorgement is gone ?
- 2023-09-25Hi mommies, I’m at 7 week and spotting started last night till today. With a bit of cramps on & off. Is this normal? I have already went for my scan at 6 week. #advicepls #firstbaby
- 2023-09-25Hi mummies, FTM here. Anybody give up breastfeeding or pumping less than a week and decide to go full FM?
- 2023-09-25Anyone drinks cold water during confinement and no side effect whatsoever ? Or did not do confinement ? Esp csection

- 2023-09-25Do u let ur Lo sharing utensil or straw wif grands? I feel it's disgusting for my LO to share the utensils or straw wif my PIL. Especially my FIL is a heavy smoker. I fear that when my LO share he will somehow contact wif the cigratte smell/nicotine. Sometimes i notice my FIL feed my LO with his unwash finger after smoking. This makes me feel vry disgusting.
Ever voice out to my spouse, but nth was done. I hope Pil can take care my boy bcoz im working mother, but yet i cannot control how they look after my LO 😩😩
What shud i do...
- 2023-09-25I changed my child to drinking from a cup instead of his milk bottle and realised that he totally doesn't like his formula milk anymore. I see him losing weight and can't get him back on S26 formula again. Any tips on how to get him back on formula again?
- 2023-09-25Initially i follow the hospital one, NAN optipro
Then my friend recommended me similac, so i changed to similac but when she is on full FM i noticed her poop becoming more dry then PD recommended NAN supreme HA, now her poop become greenish (i googled it says due to iron component) but yesterday she suddenly laosai 3 times after 2 weeks on this FM.
Is it something wrong with the FM? But i doubt so leh 🤔
Haha my mum say could be bb will complete a new milestone soon - anyone believe such thing?
- 2023-09-25Hello all, what do you do with your hair 2mths postpartum? I have slightly shorter than shoulder length hair, and it is tied up with loose strands (too short) all the time. I can’t decide whether to cut it or not. It’s shapeless now and too short to tie it nicely, but if I cut it, I won’t be able to tie it at all. Also I imagine postpartum hair loss might be coming soon. I look so bad all the time. Help!
- 2023-09-25Is it normal if you sit or lay too long after csection delivery (back home), whole body will hurt extra & incision will hurt a little more
- 2023-09-25A week PP, csect, and my legs, ankle, thight, calf all still swollen up, water retention or something. Anyone knows when will it go back to normal ? Am not currently using compression socks

- 2023-09-25Am 42. Already 62days late period. Last menses 24 Jul 23. On 26 Aug 23 had very light spotting when go to the toilet. So when I checked my period apps i am 35 days which means my period is late. Usual cycle 29 days.
So apparently on 26 Aug is just 1 time spotting and thats it. Take preg test kit negative on 31 Aug.
Then all in btwn ive had preg symptoms all. Occasionally vomited.
Then just 4 days ago…i had spotting. It feels like menses coming. But since i had preg symptoms i took preg test again. Again negative.
The thing is d blood is dark brown n occasionally pee it come out too. Ive just need to wear panty liner but it didn’t even soak at all.
I do still have preg symptoms as am typing this. N by right if frm my last menses im at my 9 weeks. My stomach bloated too.
Part of me thinking i might having pre menopause maybe? But I dont encounter dry vagina in fact during the last 60 days, down there are moist n wet like when you r pregnant. And am sexually active.
So now i think decide d spotting will eventually bcome menses then i take preg test again?
Will sure see doc if this persist by end Oct
Have anyone encounter like this in their 40s?? Perhaps can share your inputs n experiences. Thank you

- 2023-09-25Hi parents! Just wondering if anyone here knows whether can send a helper back home without finishing her contract? we hired her under agency but since I have stopped working for the meantime and baby big enough to send to preschool, we wouldn’t need her around anymore. And have thought can save the money spend for a maid’s salary instead.
Does anyone here had the same experience? Do i need to pay the agency some penalty fees whatever for not finishing the contract? I don’t want to ask the agent that helped us hire her coz I dont want her to contact and ask our helper if anything’s wrong. I will contact them once we’ve decided that we will end her contract, but for now just want to have some ideas . Also want to know whether maids that terminated before their contract will be sent back home or will stay at the agency’s staff house until their supposedly 2 years contract here is finished? #domestichelper #helperagency #advicepls #helper
- 2023-09-25Sad how from pregnancy to long hours of labor (mine was 47 hours of failed 2 induce, end up in csection), to giving birth, everybody is so focused on asking about the baby, and only the baby. Nobody ever ask about the mother. How is she, how she’s feeling, is she alright mentally, is she coping well, is she in pain, is she recovering well, does she need any help, whats on her mind etc.
It’s definitely a very lonely journey as everybody is only concern about the baby cause apparently everybody have the mindset of women are built to go through all these therefore they can go through this.
I too want to be cared for, asked about. Yes, I am still in pain from the labor, and no I am not mentally fine.
But i guess just have to suck it up and pretend you’re fine.

- 2023-09-25My husband has a very short temper and would sometimes shout/scold our 4.5mo baby. Firstly, does a 4.5mo even understand this scolding? Secondly, will this affect our LO’s personality/character? #firsttimemom #firstbaby
- 2023-09-25Hello~ hope everyone is doing well. I’m at 28 weeks now and I’ve started to have reddness on my entire breast and chest. It’s only on the top from the middle pard if the collarbone down to the middle of my breast. My nipples and underboob doesn’t have them. Should I be concerned? I googled and can’t find images that are same with what’s going on with me. Anyone can advice? I’m worried and concern it might be breast cancer and I’m spiraling. . #advicepls #firsttimemom
- 2023-09-26How can I sleep train my son to sleep on his own at night? When he is asleep on our bed, I would trf him to his cot, but he will wake up - somehow knows that he has been shifted to his own bed. He was a great independent sleeper before this. But lately he has been wanting to sleep with us every night. He is 7m. During the day, he has no problem sleeping by himself in his cot. Only at night he wants to be with us on the bed together. My husband and I need space! 😂
- 2023-09-26How do I know whether it's period or lochia? And how much flow or colour of blood is normal?#firsttimemom #pleasehelp #advicepls
- 2023-09-26My 8 weeks baby prefer to sleep on our bed since she is 3 weeks old
I tried to bring the cot in but she still refuse to sleep in cot, her eyes will open so big the moment we put her down and start to cry
Daytime is so easy to put her to sleep, i just put her in the cot then she will fall asleep on her own but it’s totally opposite when comes to night time.
Since i am going back to work soon i want to let her sleep in her cot, any mummies have tips?
And anyway it is not considered safe.

- 2023-09-26Cough and flu for 11 months baby
- 2023-09-26Im week 37 + 4.
Yesterday i woke up with pressure in my back and it moved to the front as the day went by and came quite irregularly, i timed it to around 45 secs for each cramp and it lasted the whole day and happens usually when I move or when the baby moves then i will cramp up. I can’t tell if it’s because of sciatic nerve pain cause of baby’s position or something more because last night it went away and today, i got no cramps at all and feel tired but that’s about it.
Anyone else experience this?
- 2023-09-26Does anybody know if Skool4kidz have centre closure on children's day, 6th oct friday?

- 2023-09-26Hi mummies, for those at KKH, curious to know how frequent were your appointments in the late 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester? I’m under a private route and my gynae is so chill that appointments are at 5 week intervals, 22nd week, 26th week, 31st week, 36th week.
Curious to know if that’s normal as i thought third trimester frequency should be around 2-3 weeks and then 1 week in the final month.
- 2023-09-26Can share which brand of baby liquid cleanser you all are using? Anyone using pureen?

- 2023-09-26Im a FTM, and my baby is currently 9 days old. He’s on formula milk fully and feed every 3hrs. However sometimes to keep our sanity at night, as he would not sleep at all once he’s awake at night till daylight, we would feed him every 3 hours day to night but after midnight, we would only feed him if he wakes up and cry, can be every 4 hours or so.
So far he’s still slowly gaining weight. His jaundice is still within normal range of 191.
Is it ok?

- 2023-09-26I was bleeding so badly during my 12 weeks of pregnancy. The baby scan was okay, the heartbeat was fine. I was given medicine to insert in my vagina for 2 weeks & injection until my next appointment. I still have bleeding while on medication & it scares me a lot. I always try to stay positive but mentally it's just hurting. It's my third pregnancy & trying to be as positive as i can for my pregnancy. :')

- 2023-09-27I'm 6 weeks now and i keep feeling nauseous and my stomach bloats. While I've got medication from the doctor, i try not to take it too often. I realised i feel nauseous once my stomach feels abit empty so I'm constantly snacking esp when I'm in office! Been snacking on gummies, chocolate, biscuits. It's not exactly healthy thus i need some healthy suggestions please. Thanks! #firsttimemom #advicepls
- 2023-09-27Hello fellow mummies! I am currently in my 15th week of pregnancy, soon entering the 16th week. Lately, I have been experiencing recurring aches in different areas of my body when I wake up. For example, one day it's my buttocks, and another day it's my back. The pain feels more like a bruise rather than a sharp sensation. Additionally, I have been experiencing some discomfort in the area below my right breast. Are any other moms-to-be experiencing similar issues?
- 2023-09-27Hi mommies,
Can anybody tell me of this is probably an insect bite?
I am sleeping as the same bed as him but no red spots like this. He told me at times its itchy.
He used to have this kind of red spots but it was on the hand (1 spot) but today , my toddler has these at his two legs. So heartbreaking.
No fever, no vomitting so far. Drinking and eating well. My toddler is 2.5 years old.
- 2023-09-27I’m week 12 now and my morning sickness got better! Anyone else too?
- 2023-09-27For the other dads out there, do you guys face your wife constantly asking to divorce, especially in the 3rd trimester? It feels hard knowing that you try your best to give it your all only for her to say things like “its not enough”, “why am I not your priority?”, “you are not the same person I knew”. I know that they are going through some hormonal changes but it still hurts when your wife says things like these. Its not like anything major happened (to me at least). How do you guys cope with this feeling? #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby #dad

- 2023-09-27One week post c section, i finally gathered the courage to look at my incision thru a mirror. And wow i didnt know they cut that low ? I thought its at the bottom tummy, but its actually at where my pubic bone/ pubic hair is 🥵😱 and i wonder if pubic hair will still grow above the scar
Is yours the same ?
- 2023-09-27Its only been a few days since ive given birth and man, post partum is so lonely. You’re always being left alone, as everybody is so focused on baby and always want to surround baby. While you, the mother, is being pushed away.
You don’t really have anyone there for you, like really there for you. I find myself crying every single day
And after given birth, i find that my husband like only wants the baby and not me. People often forget that the mummy would also want someone to care for them too, physically and emotionally.

- 2023-09-27I'm currently 8 weeks and during my recent gynae visit, I was given folic acid. The gynae mentioned that if I'm drinking enfamama twice a day, I will not need calcium pill since milk works just fine. Should I opt for calcium pill instead moving forward?

- 2023-09-27I am a week post partum, is it normal that there are times when incision doesnt hurt much and there are times when incision hurts more randomly ? Even with painkiller. Altho i did nothing strenuous or lift anything heavy. The pain kind of comes and goes.
The feeling is like the incision is being stretched or feel like its opening back, altho its not
- 2023-09-27Hi mummies, how exactly do you give your baby a bathe. Normally i would just use normal bathtub and fill with warm water with 1-2 squeeze of mustela cleansing gel. Afterwhich i would soak his body in the tub and bathe him as per normal then dry him up with towel.
Since im using soap, do i need to rinse him again with plain water ?

- 2023-09-27Hi mummies, FTM here with a week old baby boy. Where do you exactly put diaper cream on your baby? Is it the whole butt cheeks including butthole ? Do you also put it in between their legs?
And diaper creams are all super thick is it normal to put it in patches on baby’s butt like its not even, like its white all over.
Do i apply after every diaper change ? And do i remove the previous balance of diaper cream before applying again or just apply over it
And why is it hard to wash off the remaining of the diaper cream when giving baby a bath, do i need to use a cloth to rub it ?
Im using sudocreme and pureen alternate
- 2023-09-27Hi. I just went for gynae check and only an empty gestational sac was found. Is this bad news? :/
- 2023-09-27Im on 9 weeks now and how soon should I start buying bras and clothes?

- 2023-09-27Sometime it really make me feel heartbreaking when my kids push me away. My dad like to pampered my 22 mths old son. Always the one buy him toys, give whatever he ask for, if he fall down pain/not pain always carry him. His daddy who can bring him go anywhere to play also the one can play “rough” game with him (he feel more fun to play with). I always try to play with him, read him story books, help him with school activities. But when come to scolding i’m also the one scolding him. I know i’m a bad person to him. If I choose to ignore whatever he do I can also be the “nice” person.. then no one will correct him. I know some times i’m busy taking care my no. 2 and had lesser time to play with him but after hired a helper I did try to spend more time with him. But also after some time my no. 2 start to get closer to my helper & also she will push me away when I try to carry her.. how do I split myself into multiple so I can take care both equally.. 😩 I just feel sad even I do so much for them what I received is all these rejecting, ignore, being push away.. 😢 it makes me feel like a failure..
- 2023-09-27The weeks between scans are often filled with worries if the baby is still there. I was wondering if I should test w pregnancy test kit jus for reassurance but hubby ask me nt to think so much. Anyone feels the same way too? Any tips not to worry so much?

- 2023-09-28Dear mummies, how do you pack and label the breast milk for your little one to infant care.
1) Do you put the chilled breast milk in the bottle or pack into the milk storage bag?
2) On the label, do you indicate the date and time of expression milk or the time to feed the infant?

- 2023-09-29Hi FTM here. I was told by the doc tt I have SCH (subchorionic hematoma) during my 1st ultrasound at week 5, but baby is good as long as I don’t bleed. Dr even detected a heartbeat and flicker. Today, 3 weeks ltr, we went to another clinic for a 2nd opinion and did ultrasound (both normal and transvaginal) but the Dr was unable to detect any heartbeat and cldn’t find any flicker. I haven’t had any bleeding. I even took the pregnancy test again to double check if Im still pregnant, and yes its a double line. Is this normal? #firstbaby #advicepls #FTM
- 2023-09-29Hi mummies, my baby is on full formula, past few days she keep spitting milk frequently after feed. Sometimes abit sometimes quite alot. Is it normal? Is it because of overfeed? Or need to burp more? Sometimes even after burping also same thing. But the she never puke out like fountain
She started off with 30ml when in hospital and now 11 days old we try to increase gradually till now 50ml per feed. Or is it too much for newborn? Cause as per paediatrician, according to his weight, he may consume 60ml.

- 2023-09-30Hi mummies, those that manage to go thru VBAC after csection, whats the age gap between your csection baby and natural birth baby?
I went thru emergency csection for my first born and wonder if theres any chance for natural delivery in future (noted doc will strongly encourage atleast 2 years gap) 🥹😣 made me demoralise when people told me once you go csect, you can never go normal.

- 2023-09-30How many weeks after csection did you start your post natal massage ? My masseuse told me 2-3 weeks or later. However I am already 2 weeks post partum but my incision still hurts everynow and then and my lower tummy is still sore to touch. Should i wait longer, i scared i can only start one month PP and scared its too late to start on the massage and my body will take longer to heal and tummy longer to shrink.

- 2023-09-30I'm lost and depressed after discovering my husband of 17yrs had cheated on me during his overseas work trip recently. At first i found out he went those KTV with hostess due to business needs. I was so upset that he didnt confessed, he sweared there is no sexual engagement or any intimacy during 2-3 visits. I convinced myself ans forgave him. Somehow i feel that he is overly remorseful over this KTV incident and seems to be hiding more. I saw his search history those called girls/hookers during the days he was overseas and even checked for "risk of getting HIV with protected sex". I confronted him and he refused to admit at first, he finally owned up after being countered by my questionings and slapping. I'm thinking of getting a divorce cos this is not his first time betraying my trust. 10yrs ago, he had an affair and i chose to forgive him as my daughter was still young. During these 10yrs, my wound is not fully healed but he has become a better husband and father and i gave birth to my younger boy. In many people's eyes, we are a happy family of 4. Our marriage life have been wonderful. I never expect he will betray me again after 10yrs and i'm very deeply hurt. He told me he is really remorseful for this and beg me not to divorce with him and give him a final chance. I dont know if i can still continue my life with him as the images of him and the hooker keep replaying. I tell myself just go for divorce but i have no confident if i can handle my kids without him by my side. Anyone here with similar experience can share some advice? What will be your decision if you are in my shoe? Thank you.

- 2023-09-30Is it normal for newborn to not sleep at night? From the first day discharged till now, 2 weeks, my newborn barely sleep at night from 10pm/12am - sunrise. Always wide awake or sleepy but fighting his eyes to be awake, and always crying nonstop until his voice become scratchy. Nothing works, rock him to sleep, hold him, cuddle him, white noise, swaddled, give him milk, use baby telon oil on stomach and body, changed diaper, turned down the light etc.
Every single night itll be like this i dont even know whats wrong and its really driving us crazy cause we barely sleep and cant figure out what he wants. during the day usually he would sleep after feed but not at night.
He’s on full formula and we feed him every 2 hours or so. Stomach is not hard.
People around me tell me its because theyre adapting the life inside womb to the outside world and still dont know how to differentiate day and night.
But idk how long will this last and how long we can tahan 😭😭😭

Initially she has very watery poop, then recently 2 days never poop. Today she did but it is like small pebble, when i press it, it feels like mashed potatoes.

- 2023-09-30Help! First time mum here. It’s been 2 weeks of trying to latch on for breastfeeding but my nipples are always painful when my baby sucks. I have tried different breastfeeding positions, holding my breasts in a C/U shape, aiming my nipple at the roof of baby’s mouth. My nipples feel sore and tend to look flatten when I unlatch.
Anyone has any tips to share for a better latch?
Should I try using a nipple shield?
