- 2024-06-24Where can I buy good quality maternity pants and shorts in-store? (NOT leggings/tights) I do not prefer online shopping because of size and material issue (picky on quality of pants as I have dry skin).
- 2024-06-24My LO is 6 weeks now, and I bottle feed expressed breast milk mostly, only latch like once a day.
Since 1 week ago, she’s been more gassy and I managed to do massage to tone it down. However these few days have been headache for me cause she keep on asking for more but she will vomit (not spitting out, it’s vomiting) after that, and ask for more again right after the vomit
- 2024-06-24Is anyone pregnant but still having their period? I’m about 5 months btw.
- 2024-06-24Hi all, I have been feeling dizzy since week 6. To alleviate my dizziness, I had to lie down (sitting down just doesn’t work). With this dizziness issue, I could barely work.
However, checks from GP and gynae shows everything is normal. I don’t have much nausea and vomiting too. Anyone experiencing/experienced similar symptoms? How do you cope with it? Would it get better soon?

- 2024-06-24Hi there, FTM here and currently week 35, EDD end July. I told my boss previously that I plan to start maternity leave around mid July. I asked Gynae abt hospitalization leave and he told me he’ll only grant this from week 37 onwards. Can anyone share how they communicate hospitalization leave to their boss? Do you tell them in advance that your gynae will start hospitalization leave in week xx? Thanks in advance!
- 2024-06-2432 weeks + 1 today and we’ve still not decided on a baby cot simply because there’s too many options to choose from.
We’re largely contemplating on getting the Getha Togetha Baby cot, because of (1) drawer storage space beneath cot, (2) 3 adjustable heights (3) removable wheels with lock mechanism (4) drop down gate mechanism on one side of the cot (5) convertible into a study desk/day bed/ kid’s sofa
Should i reconsider my choice? Do you guys have any other recommendations of baby cots?

I usually give in to my cravings but feel guilty that I am not eating healthily.... Thankfully my glucose test at week 25 was ok but will I develop GD in these few weeks?

- 2024-06-24Hi, first time mummy here at week 8. Currently under subsided at NUH. I do have plans to switch to private in future for a better comfort and lesser waiting time if our wallet allow us to. May I know is there a big difference coming from nuh subsided to Thomson private hospital? Is it worth the money difference? And when is the latest I can swap to private. Planning to take advantage of the subsided for abnormalities scans for now. Please advise me ladies

- 2024-06-25Hi mummies! I'm currently week 9 realised recently I feel weak easily like jelly body and fainting sensation after short walk in non air con area, abit like dehyrated feel. is it concerning or any tips on this?
- 2024-06-25Hi mommies, been 2 to 3 days when i pump, my left breast milk got white jellyish substance. Been googling bout it and not sure if it is masititis? My right side seem normal. Also the milk coming out from left side is thicker and seems more yellowish. Any tips or anyone experiencing the same thing? Thank you so much.. really want a smooth BF journey. First time mom here...
- 2024-06-25Which formula milk is better for my baby
- 2024-06-25Hi mummies, am considering going for NUH subsidized route.
For routine check ups, what do Dr check during appt? Am I able to see baby? Or can only do so during detailed scan @ wk20/32?
Thank you! #firsttimemom
- 2024-06-25Hi mummies, I was sleeping when I felt baby violently shake inside. Google told me that it might be startling reflexes or otherwise seizure. My gynae appointment is in a week and I'm just wondering if this is normal at all? My baby is super active but the movements seem weird a while ago (feels like hands and feet were up vibrating). I'm currently 28 weeks btw, thanks in advanced for your reply :)
- 2024-06-25Hi all! Any recommendation on confinment nannies/agencies?
Anyone thinking of confinement centres?
- 2024-06-25Period came one day late but lasted for close to 3 weeks at first i thought it was hormones imbalance due to the fact that i stop breastfeeding that same month but decided to check with gynae.
And after a scan turns out i was pregnant but i didn’t even know it. I went for so many drinking sessions and was on my weight loss journey, only eating a meal a day. gynae said sac seems to be empty (blighted ovum) but it might be because it’s too early to tell estimated gestational week is 3/4weeks . So gynae said to let nature take its course and check back 2 weeks later.
But i feel so so guilty not knowing i was pregnant and doing so many things to harm it. Just asking if any mummy have blighted ovum misdiagnosed? And if it’s just too early to see.
Also i am still bleeding everyday and am so scared to even head to the toilet cause every time i go i just see blood flowing out. Any mummy had bleeding early pregnancy and go one to have a healthy pregnancy?
I know chances are not high but just want to have some hope. #advice
- 2024-06-25Hi! I’m a first time mom and I was wondering if anyone could help me to read a first trimester pregnancy blood results. My scan is not till Saturday and I’m worried if my results are good or bad.
GA: 11+6W
PAPP-A : 1.67 IU/L
Free beta HCG: 23.7 IU/L
I’m just wondering if my results are within range.
- 2024-06-25I want to admit my fault... I get angry with my child very quickly. It's so easy for me to yell at her. I always get annoyed when she has trouble eating or take a long time when we need to go somewhere. I find her very slow. I don't want her to become a spoiled child!
Honestly, I'm confused about why I'm like this. Before I had my own child, I had nieces and nephews. I loved them so much, and I was even their favorite aunt. But for some reason, I can't feel the same way about my own child.
I felt guilty for yelling at her yesterday when she hid something from me. It turned out she wanted to surprise me for my birthday. But I felt it was unnecessary. By the way, she is almost 4 years old now.
Why am I like this...
- 2024-06-25I know there's a lot of debate around co-sleeping, and many experts warn against it. However, I wanted to share my personal experience and why I made the choice to co-sleep with my baby despite the warnings.
From the moment my baby was born, I felt a deep discomfort leaving them alone in their crib. The thought of them sleeping in a separate space made me anxious and restless. I tried several times to get used to it, but I couldn’t shake off the worry and fear that something might happen while they were out of my sight.
Eventually, I decided to trust my instincts and let my baby sleep next to me. It felt natural and comforting to have them close. I could easily check on them, make sure they were breathing okay, and respond immediately if they needed anything. This gave me peace of mind and helped both of us sleep better.
I understand the concerns and potential risks associated with co-sleeping, and I took extra precautions to make our sleeping arrangement as safe as possible. I ensure there's a firm mattress, no loose bedding, and I never co-sleep if I’m overly tired or have consumed alcohol.
For me, co-sleeping has fostered a stronger bond and a sense of security. It’s what works best for us right now, even if it goes against conventional advice. I’m curious to hear from others—have any of you chosen to co-sleep despite the warnings?
- 2024-06-25Has anyone booked confinement nanny? What quotes are you getting? Pre-CNY, CNY surcharges are so scary.
- 2024-06-25Hi all, would like to start on prenatal massage as I have been so tensed and stressed. Currently 21 weeks. Any personal recommendations?
- 2024-06-25My baby just turned 1 year old and also just recovered from a viral fever. He has since lost his appetite to eat and refuses solids and even milk sometimes. He is drinking very little milk. I even had to switch to soy milk as he was having diarrhea due to the viral fever. What can I do to boost his appetite?
- 2024-06-25My wife went for her second ultrasound check today. 2 weeks ago the doctor was able to see heartbeat after doing the virginal scan, estimated 6 weeks pregnant. Today the scan was done by the radiologist and no heartbeat was heard, was told baby doesn't seem like growing.
Doctor mentioned that it might be a miscarriage and ask us to go back for another scan in a week.
Anyone encounter this before and baby is ok? We were crying the entire afternoon as it is our first pregnancy after almost 4 years.
- 2024-06-25Hi anyone can share experience or knowledge on the price of Nannie’s during CNY? And roughly how much plus miscellaneous etc
- 2024-06-25Hello mummies, my 5 week old baby seems to be fussing and crying at specific hours, like between 6 to 10pm.
And it's almost to a point where we can't seem to be able to comfort her.
We tried burping her to reduce gas, put oilment on her belly, swaddle her, using pacifier, changed her diaper.
And she's always like this after her feed. Is there anything else I can try?
- 2024-06-25very soft and breathable. absorb channels ensure no leakage of urine.
- 2024-06-25really soft and cushy. Heavy diaper without leakage.
- 2024-06-25no leakage. LO skin doesnt feel wet or sticky. no rashes.
- 2024-06-2639yo FTM Currently 12 weeks 5 days pregnant and having severe pelvic girdle syndrome. Went to A&E yesterday cause I was worried something is wrong with my baby. The scan shows ok and the dr prescribed some panadols.
She refered me to a physiotherapist and told me that usually people in late pregnancy will encounter this. I walk like Im 7 mths pregnant. It feels heavy on my pelvic area. Feels like I have boils down there. Tossing and turning in bed is so painful too.
Anyone with similar experience? I will try chiro as I have sciatica pain as well. Pregnancy is so hard but still feel so blessed 😭
- 2024-06-26Been seeing blinking/ flashing lights suddenly. Measured bp but it is not low… is this a medical condition? Currently w23
- 2024-06-26my husband recently came up to me, how he was a bit unsatisfied with our sex life especially after we have our baby (now 11 months old). he understand how tired we are (especially i am), but he can't lie that he has needs too. he then told me to watch porn to get new references and to trigger the sexual desire in me that he thought i might be losing. i thought he was joking but no, he was hell serious. is this normal? i was even confused how to respond.
- 2024-06-26Before our child was born, my husband and I agreed not to post our child's face on social media. We even told people not to post pictures of our baby on social media without our permission. Everyone was fine with it... except for my mother-in-law.
She often posts pictures of our child's face without our permission. For some people, this might seem trivial, but for us, it's a big issue. We are very aware of the potential dangers on social media. Whether it's misuse or something else, we are determined to protect our child from these threats!
But my mother-in-law doesn't want to understand. When we talked to her, she blamed me, saying I was ashamed of having a child. She questioned why she couldn't be proud of her grandchild. She even said I wasn't fit to be a parent and that everyone does it. She told me not to be ridiculous!
I wonder if troublesome in-laws like this could just disappear from the face of the earth.
- 2024-06-26I constantly feel nauseous all day. I can't stand the smell of any food. I also frequently have cramps and have had spotting a few times. Ever since I got pregnant, I feel like the weakest woman in the world.
Are these signs of a weak pregnancy?
- 2024-06-26i am currently entering 2nd trimester in a few weeks. i have heard a lot of birth story where they pooped while pushing their baby out 😭😭😭😭😭😭i am so embarassed if that happens to me and i dont want to experience that. i have told my husband it's either going to be c-section or i am terminating this baby...............................................
- 2024-06-26hi fellow pregnant moms, is it true that we need to stop washing our vagina during pregnancy? even with the safe-labeled feminine wash? i feel uncomfortabel not doing that, but i cant stop thinking if i might be hurting my baby if i do that. please enlighten me
- 2024-06-26FTM here! Not sure what I need to buy for clothes. I see lots of different types, body suits, onesies, tops, bottoms etc. how many and what should I buy? 😓😓
- 2024-06-26Hello! My 6 months old LO have these rashes look on his lower back for about a week already~ Not sure what is it, do you all think is heat rash or eczema? What should I do? His other parts of the body area are all fine..

- 2024-06-26Consistency/texture: water
Smell/scent: smells like herbal medicine
Feel: lightweight and moisturising
- 2024-06-26Tonique Confort has a serum-like milky texture. Formulated with acacia honey, hyaluronic acid and sweet almond oil, it works to gently remove dirt, excess oil and leftover makeup like most toners, but it also nourishes, softens and soothes the skin.
- 2024-06-26Hi mummies! I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and realized my appetite is getting lesser during the day and nauseous + restless at night. Little to no morning sickness so far. Just that 2 concerns. Hmmmm
- 2024-06-26My baby has been going to ifc for 1 month. She’s currently 5 months. In the app the teachers only update 1 nap per day. I’m not sure what’s going on I have raised it up but she still does not sleep. I’m really worried. In the evenings she would take 1 hour to sleep because she is exhausted. At home on weekends she is okay to take naps. I’m not sure why she is having difficulty in school. I don’t rock her to sleep by the way I just tap her and the teachers know this. Help is this normal should I get upset they are not trying to help her sleep or what can I do? Any tips moms SOS

- 2024-06-27Hi! does anyone experience not getting an appt from KKH? Im currently at 37 weeks and they told me my next appt will be weekly but ive not receive any appt schedule for next check up. Should I call them & ask or wait the text? Usually healthhub / healthbuddy will show for next appt but i don't receive it.
- 2024-06-27Hi Mummies, I am wondering if any Mummies have exclusively pump and managed to make your baby drink BM for 2 years. My baby doesnt directly latch and hoping she can drink BM until 2yrs old
- 2024-06-27At one month can your baby track things with their eyes? My baby doesn’t seem to track things . Maybe sometimes and then end up just looking at one area and not follow the sound.

- 2024-06-27I'm 30, F, been married for a year. Earlier this month, my hubby and I had a chat and we decided to start TTC.
We had done the deed on 9 June and today 27 June I tested positive! (btw this Clearblue looks a bit diff as I got it in Italy on holiday last week)
We're happy yet surprised that it was a one shot wonder😅
But super worried at the same time...
What should I do now? Should I test weekly, leading up to Wk 7/8 before seeing the gynae? What are some things I die die cannot do to lessen the chances of a miscarriage at this point? I'm also feeling very guilty as I've been drinking a glass of wine/beer/cocktail for every meal during my 3-wk holiday😭🤦🏻♀️
Thanks to all experienced pros for your advice!🙏🏼

- 2024-06-27My husband and I weren’t fully trying to conceive but I recently tested positive and I’m now 5 weeks pregnant.
But the past 2 weeks, I’ve been travelling in Italy (before finding out I’m pregnant). During my 2 week trip, I drank so much alcohol/wine everyday, I ate a lot of cheese, I carried my heavy suitcase up staircases, and I used the bath tub with essential oils and few times.
My first OBGYNE appointment is only happening next week. What should I do now that I’m pregnant? I feel really bad but I had no idea!

- 2024-06-27Angry to find out my nanny has been giving baby diluted milk. Instruction was 1 scope of powder to every 30ml of water. So 2 scope of powder to 60ml of water, 3 scope of powder to 90ml of water). Nanny feel that making 90ml will waste the 10ml. So nanny added 2 scope of powder to 80ml of water. Did not know she has been doing this for the past 2 weeks. My baby was a newborn (1 week old only). Any mummies did this before? Is ur baby ok? I am so worried. Google say it can cause brain swelling, seizures, water intoxication etc. Baby looks fine now.

- 2024-06-27Hi, I’m now at 25 weeks but don’t feel any obvious baby kicks (I’m a first time mum). I told my gynae about it and she said my baby heartbeat and everything is fine and not to worry about it. When she did the ultrasound scan for me, the baby is kicking and yet I could not feel it. She said I might not be very sensitive about it.
Should I be worried about this or anyone facing the same thing as me? I have googled for this and the search results are quite scary.

- 2024-06-27Does anyone know what does it mean when baby keeps puking milk after every feed even though we burped baby?
Is it overfeeding/gas/digestion issues that’s causing baby to puke? Not sure what to do with baby and it saddens me to see my breastmilk going to waste everytime.
- 2024-06-27Did transvaginal scan and gynae can only see an empty sac however he say might be too early to tell. Based on last menses it should be 7-8weeks but based on last intercourse it should be just 4 weeks which match the size of sac. But i have been bleeding quite a bit and am on medication. Any mummies experienced this?

- 2024-06-27Hey there mummies. Im hitting the 8th week. Baby feeds 120mls per feed between 2-3hours, after feed will still demand for milk. Denies wake windows, wants to go back to sleep right after or she will cry it out.
Tried tummy time. Tried nappy change. Tried giving a warm bath. Burped her several times. Pooping well. Wet diapers every nappy change. But she seemed so fussy out of a sudden. Swaddled, white noise. Dark room at night.
Bright room for day naps. Tried flashcards and taking her for a 5-10mins walk but she just wants to sleep right after feeding. A little late she will be angry.
Im burn out :’(

- 2024-06-27My baby is 100% drinking breast milk now but I am going overseas for work for 6 days and I don’t have enough supply for baby for the whole duration. I tried to introduce formula but baby refused to drink it. I’m worried she might not have enough to drink while I’m away. Anyone has experience or tips to share when transitioning from breast milk to formula? #formulaadvice #weaning

- 2024-06-27Today I am 21weeks and while working I experienced very sharp pain in lower abdomen, feels like period days but more intense. That very sharp pain lasted for less than 10mins and with from time to time also felt movement of my baby in the same area. Does anyone experienced this? Is it normal?
The pain started in afternoon and lasted for hours (atleast the one I can tolerate) and it has combi of pain at my lower back as well.
Hope to hear from other moms.

- 2024-06-28Am currently using Enfamil A+ Gentlease. However, it is always getting OOS (shopee, Pandamart, Grabmart & Official website).
Anyone knows the next best alternative?
Not sure if baby can accept 'normal' FM.
Thank you.
- 2024-06-28I recently discussed finances with my husband, who is self-employed. His income varies and has decreased tremendously since my pregnancy last year. He's been trading at home, but unfortunately lost money in the last few months, which was meant for our HDB next year. I'm worried of his ability to save up, because of his poor saving habits. He also has a poor record of working consistently.
I am still working and have decent amount of savings and cpf. My partner on the other hand, doesn't have much savings and barely any cpf.
I worry about our financial stability and matters concerning hdb loan, if we can get the same amount. I worry HDB might reduce our loan and that means even more upfront money.
Should I encourage him to focus on his work and help less at home? How can I best support him in improving our financial situation? Any advice on HDB loan for self employed worker?

- 2024-06-28First time mom (with GDM) here. Very nervous about going for C Section. Anyone who went NUH recently had c section? Can walk through the process of the whole thing?
1) Will the injection on your back hurt very badly?
2) Will they allow the husband to be there for moral support?
3) Will they let you see the baby first?
4) Anything else that I have to take note of? Regarding the before, during and after c section?

- 2024-06-28Hi mummies, I just sold a ride on toy that my elder already outgrown and it's taking space in the house. I have a younger baby who is 21 months old. I decided to sell the toy as I checked with my elder and he doesn't want it. I had wanted to keep for my baby but my baby development is way slower that my elder. At 21 months old she still doesn't know how to ride on and play other toys (mostly throwing toys and biting them). I couldn't stand that I'm keeping toys (those bulky baby toys) waiting for my baby to know how to play them but don't know when she will know. Also I felt this ride on is more for boy. However now I regretted as my baby girl seems to like the ride on based on my 6th sense as when the ride on is still at home, she sometimes showed interest in it but mostly it's just a white elephant. In short, I sold the toy out of frustration. I know I can't get it back as it will be awkward to contact the buyer. If I buy back the same ride on from other sellers in carousell, the feeling is not the same too as that's not the ride on that my elder grew up in. How do I comfort myself for this reckless "mistake" I made? Or am I thinking just too much? Thanks

- 2024-06-29Hi.
Heard many bad reviews about using pacifier. Mummies who let their babies use pacifier, is it ok? Is it bad for baby's teeth next time? Is there any colic issue?
I tried pacifier once but my baby doesn't like it. Recently she kept biting her hands so I tried again and she wants it now. But I'm worried about the cons of using pacifier. Any advice pls? TIA.
