12 month old lost appetite to eat

My baby just turned 1 year old and also just recovered from a viral fever. He has since lost his appetite to eat and refuses solids and even milk sometimes. He is drinking very little milk. I even had to switch to soy milk as he was having diarrhea due to the viral fever. What can I do to boost his appetite?

I forced fed my baby with milk using syringe. My baby screamed murder but i had to do it else if she loses her weight she needs to be admitted. It got better the next few days. Makesure she’s not too hot and keep spamming the wet towel to towel the baby else will have like post rashes.
