- 2023-07-17Hi, a few weeks back i noticed that the folds on my baby’s skin had milk/heat/saliva rash. However, now the skin has 2 different colour 😭 anyone knows what can I do to improve her skin condition on her neck area?
- 2023-07-17Hi everyone, how many lines did you see? I thought i saw 2, but didn't want to put high hopes as i had a miscarriage before this after having #1 who it 14mo currently. Also this is not technically my first pee in the morning, i had already taken my breakfast and then i suddenly remembered to test but couldn't wait for tomorrow morning. Is it possible that i may be expecting but it's still too early and my hcg level is not that high yet? Mine's is a sensitive pregnancy test that can test 6 days earlier but my period is expected in 5 days (i have irregular period)

- 2023-07-17hi all! ftm here. edd is 28/7. turning 39wks this fri, which coincidentally falls on my next checkup appt too. currently only 1cm dilated, with no signs of labour at all too. baby & i are all healthy, thankfully, and baby is weighing at estimated 2.9kg currently. i’ve been doing squats, walking more than 10k steps daily & bouncing on yoga ball too. even taking dates & drinking raspberry leaf tea.
on last checkup, gynae gave us an option to be induced by the next appt, citing reasons as to avoid baby from getting too big. as she noticed a rapid upwards pattern on baby’s weight gain within third trimester itself.
been going back and forth regarding this. as much as i’d like to naturally go into labour on my own.. i can’t stand the backache, reflux, morning sickness & all the discomfort. would love to get this baby out of me too :( need some advice please. any kind of help will do. thank you in advance!
- 2023-07-17Hello, ftm here! I’m currently at 36 weeks and am 1cm dilated since last night. Any tips or advices on how to speed up labour? I’ve been walking more and also doing exercises/stretching using my gym ball. TIA!
- 2023-07-17Anyone still sleep on their back @ 3rd trimester ?
I know they say better to sleep on your side but sometimes i really cant help but to sleep on my back for better and longer sleep.
When i sleep on my sides, i will sometimes get cramps on my stomach and i always keep waking up every now and then keep tossing and turning side to side cause its very uncomfortable.

- 2023-07-17Due to the risk of salmonella infections, children under age 5 should not eat undercooked eggs. Runny yolks (meaning the yolk is not solid) may not be safe enough. This is because toddlers and babies are at greater risk for salmonella-caused illness.24 Feb 2022

- 2023-07-17Hi hi, just did my 9 week scan today and my doctor said the size of my baby is for 7w++ only. He said it’s like that because my period is usually late for a week.
Anyone experienced/experiencing the same? Was your baby able to catch up with their growth according to their gestational week?#pleasehelp #advicepls #firstbaby
- 2023-07-17Currently 31 weeks, i lost weight during 1st trim, and barely gain in 2nd trim. But now in 3rd trim im starting to gain quite fast. Im still quite petite and skinny, however my bump is big.
So far i have gained almost 8kg, does this mean baby is gaining weight too ? As im always worried baby might be on the smaller side nearing to edd.

- 2023-07-17My baby is 3 months old didn't know still to suck pacifier or just reject taking it. Should I be worrying? Is there any concern that is not normal. His older brother doesn't hv this problem during his infancy period.
- 2023-07-17I’m in my first trimester but I’m already researching on my gynae. I’m currently a subsidised patient and planning to change to private in my 13th week.
Any tips or advice on how can I contact my preferred gynae to check their availabilty? Couldn’t seem to be able to find a contact number in kkh website.

- 2023-07-17For mummies that just give birth, soon to give birth. Here's a copy of my attached post bill which recently I requested for hard copy to be sent via post. I am under subsidy, KKH and vaginal birth. They did give digital copy but linked expired so I submit form to ask for a hard copy. You will need the case file and other details in order to have it sent to you correctly.
For under subsidy GST will be absorbed and you will have subsidy from GOV. Therefore, you can see the before/after. Please don't ask about PRV because both pregnancy I didn't take gynae neither under PRV.
You will also see the amount Antenatal Claim. That will be the return cheque to you which will process within one to two weeks depend on hospital back end.
You may see the breakdown and see the charges for each category.

- 2023-07-18Hello mummies! Anyone has a new born and is feeding formula? My husband and I bought similac formula for our baby but he doesnt like it so we're switching back to bellamy. Made a mistake of buying the bigger tin instead of the smaller ones. Was wondering if anyone wants it. Please source for your own delivery.
- 2023-07-18Just seen gynae today wk 34 day 4, baby weight is around 2.8kg already. Gynae said is over the chart. Want to know any mummies experience this before? I am worried that natural delivery will be tough. #FTM

- 2023-07-18For mummies who just gv birth recently at TMC, can let me know what are the necessary items to pack?
They have their hosp list on their website but seems too little to pack? Could be they can provide some stuffs but have to pay for it?
Called the hotline but the operator herself seems not sure but she did tell me can bring own breast pump if i ask them to sterilise it they will charge with a fee😂
Im taking the premier room btw.
- 2023-07-18Tomorrow will be 6 weeks for me, and i have been feeling very gassy all day. I burp so much and I’m not sure what causes it.
- 2023-07-18Hi for various reasons I have completely lost trust in both KKH and NUH.
NUH is absurd that you can never reach the clinic jade no matter if you call everyday. They don't even bother to reply emails or get back to your enquiries. Even if something is urgent, complete ignorance. I've never felt more stress in my life and patience tested to this extent.
KKH, twice my nipt results have come back with no results with no proper explanation given as to why the no results.
I'm looking for a private gynae in private hospital that is pro natural. My only concern of private hospital is that they will push you for c sec cos they can earn more by that. Of course I'm ok with c sec if it's REALLY necessary but not if it can be managed.
I know this is like looking for a needle in haystack.

- 2023-07-18Hello mummies, it’s my second pregnancy. I delivered at NUH private with epidural. Ward A cash payout was 3k ish, almost 3 years back. The rest is deducted from Medisave. Is the price similar to delivery at MT A? Any gynae recommendation? Dr John?
- 2023-07-18Hi mommies! I'm a first-time mummy, just tested 2-3 weeks pregnant using ClearBlue yesterday. I'm currently on Blackmores' folic acid pills and Purest Co. collagen, would it still be safe to consume those during pregnancy? (So anxious because I'm so new to this! 😅)
Nausea, stomach cramps and diarrhoea got diagnosed as stomach flu by the GP two days ago, so he gave me some probiotics. Safe to consume those too?
- 2023-07-18What is the usual volume PP 2 weeks if I'm pumping exclusively (have flat nipples and baby has difficulties latching)? I'm currently pumping 60-70ml every 3h for 2 boobs.
- 2023-07-18For newly bought baby toys, and subsequent use, like those rattles or teether kind of toys, is washing using soap sufficient or do i need to sterilise also ?
As for those fabric baby books, can i just spray antibacterial spray (baby-safe) ? Since i dont think we can wash.
And how do you usually store it ? Or just put on baby’s cot/playpen ?
#FTM
- 2023-07-18Hi mummies, if our nipple sore, crack or bleed, do you still let baby latch ? Or you just pump instead ?
#FTM
- 2023-07-18Hi mummies, for cleaning of baby’s umbilical cord, face, bump, etc, instead of boiling water and let it cool every usage, can we boil water, let it cool, and store in a spray bottle for multiple usage ?

- 2023-07-18Hi mummies, can I check 35weeks plus can drink bottled chicken essence? If can how much can be consumed? Or can only consume just before we go delivery? If so, how much can be consumed?
- 2023-07-18Hi mummies, just for ranting.
I am an over thinker myself before pregnancy bt i guess its getting overloaded with this hormonal change.
I find myself getting overly emotional, overly thinking abt so many things which disturbs my feelings. At times, im able to sleep it off or turn it off my mind bt at times, i realize that i dont knw hw to hide it. My body language, my expression will tell it off. I feel bad for my husband bcoz this tghts mainly involving him.
I can out of the blue feels that i am not worthy to compare to the great ladies of his past. Like i feel i dont do him justice. Like i feel as though he has lost his charms bcoz of me. I still always finds me the warmth of eyes and he is charming always to me. But its just wen something small triggers, den i wld start to compare hw he was previously as to hw he was nw with me.
I am a plain jane to begin with. A simple mom who does simple mom duties as my current kids were all grown up. I work and rarely cooks, which makes me feel less of a wife. I dont dress well, i dont cooks well, i dont clean as often.
I feel so unpretty at times, comparing hw some mom glows so much and still maintaining their figure despite being pregnant. And i feel embarassed for him. Like he is such a fine man, walking next to a walking dugong i guess hahaha.
Bt ya, its been really disturbing. I knw being emotional isnt good for my baby bt well, i didnt ask to be this emotional
- 2023-07-18Is it too early to start washing baby’s clothes & laundry @ 32 weeks ?
- 2023-07-18Sorry first time mum here. Im planning to stop pumping in a few weeks time. For the storage bottles for breastmilk are we able to keep it if I plan to have #2? Maybe in 1 year time.
Or should I discard it due to hygiene

- 2023-07-18Hi, my lo is turning 5 months. And I noticed a flat spot at the back of her head. She’s been spending more time on her bouncer when I’m doing work and i think that has caused this. - 2023-07-18Hubs and I really like the name Forest (to us, it means free spirited) for our baby boy. But our parents and in laws are against it. Saying that its too american, not nice, etc. Even our friends were like “really meh, you want to name him that”. Not going to lie… I was quite annoyed and affected by their comments. Should I change baby names or stick with the one we prefer 😮💨

- 2023-07-19I am 2 months and 16 days postpartum and never really established a milk supply. Each time pump is about 5-40mls. I was switching between several supplements and I think wasn’t as consistent in pumping. Now I am motivated to start pumping consistently. Is it still possible to establish or increase my milk supply even though it’s been 2 months postpartum? How long should I expect to see results if I start pumping regularly every 2-3hrs? Any other tips?

- 2023-07-19I remember being soo sick, nausea, headache, super tired during my 1st trim all the way till 18/19 weeks. Afterwards i feel soo much better, no nausea, i got my energy and appetite back.
And now im in 3rd trimester, i feel like all the things i felt in 1st trimester is starting to get back at me. Im always very tired, and get tired easily. I can be quite nausea, and sensitive esp when brushing teeth, in the morning or when im full, not to mention the extra belatedness altho i dont eat much. 😭
To add on, i feel like my feel is being squashed by the weight of my body/tummy everytime i walk or stand i can really feel the weight on my feet. Like when you carry sometime very heavy

- 2023-07-19Currently in 3rd trim, with a big belly.
Hate it whenever after eating, especially after dinner, my tummy will become super bloated, hard, and tight despite eating moderately.
It will become very tight and super uncomfortable to the point sometimes i feel breathless and its impossible to sleep and all positions, including sitting is very uncomfortable.
I would usually just spam yuyee oil for short term relieve for few times.
Any tips to lessen the uncomfortable feeling after eating? I tried to walk around the house for few mins and feel even more uncomfortable due to the weight of my belly.

- 2023-07-20I've been reading/hearing that a lot of infants/toddlers are pooping once a day or every few days. Regardless of breastfeeding or formula fed.
Does anyone else have a baby that just constantly poops multiple times a day??? It's usually a yellow brown splat in huge quantities.
This has been our normal since day one, but has been on breastmilk for the majority of the five months. Our pediatrician didn't say anything wrong about the bowel movements or the poop consistency or even our feedings so i shrug it off...
But mothers out there, please tell me you have/had a baby that did that too and it's all fine?

- 2023-07-21Hi! This is nothing related to pregnancy, but I just want to know how do we take up renovation loan? As me & husb’s pay does not qualify the monthly income they need. I noticed POSB & OCBC needs at least one person to have $2500 monthly income. Anyone knows an alternative route?

- 2023-07-21Hi all. I had a preterm baby at 32.3 few years back. She is 3.5 years old now. Im preg with my 2nd now. Due to the preemie history, kkh checked my cervical length at 15 weeks, it was 3.4cm which was good. But when i was about 21 weeks, it was measuring only 1.5cm. They offered me the cervical cerclage or progesterone through vaginal insert. I decided to take the progesterone but after 2 weeks when they scanned it was only 7mm so the meds obviously didnt work. I was 23.4 weeks so i have to decide on the cerclage as it cant be done after 24 weeks. and i had no choice but to do the cervical cerclage. Because i wanted to do everything i can for the lil one. I have no history of miscarriages. When i was 7mm, my cervix isnt dialated at all too. Dr mentioned its tightly closed and thats the good news. There was slight funneling. Im 25 weeks now. I have an appt at 26 plus weeks. So far it seems okay. I wasnt really adviced for bed rest but i do as much as i can. Anyone did cervical cerclage like mine? Any idea how long you managed to hold the baby? Thank you. Hoping for some answers.

- 2023-07-21I have low supply and I am not really keen on breastfeeding because I find it stressful that I have to work and take care of chores at home too.
My mother in law , sister in law , the lactation nurse in the hospital judged me by making comments like why I am not breastfeeding because breastfeeding has so many benefits (obviously). They make it sound like I am lazy to breastfeed lol.
My sis in law keeps harping on why I did not breastfeed and I told them the reasons. She sent me a list of reasons why I should breastfeed. Personally I believe formula feeding works as well. My sis formula fed her children and they turned out alright.
Do people know that some mums need to work so no time and sleep to pump milk? Some mums have low supply of breast milk? Some mums have medical conditions ? and many reasons?
Can people stop their unkind comments?#firsttimemum #respect_post

- 2023-07-21Hi Mummies,
I want to ask if anyone hired a sleep trainer for their baby?
My boy just turned 4 months old and I am thinking of hiring a sleep trainer.
Currently he gets ups after 5 hours and then will keep getting up with eyes closed every 2 hrs. Hence thinking of seeing professional help so that him as well as me and my husband can sleep peacefully.
Is it worth doing? Anyone can share their experience?
Also any recommendations for good sleep trainers ?

- 2023-07-21This is my second pregnancy.
36 weeks now. Yesterday, I had what i felt was braxton hicks contractions. Tightening at only the abdomen. Didn’t felt it on my legs and back. What was weird that it occured very frequent with inconsistent 2mins-30mins intervals lasting abt 25secs-40secs. I originally had pain in pelvis but yesterday was worse.
Weird thing is, I had from evening time abt 6pm til abt 5am & then when I wake up this morning, I felt just fine. I honestly thought yesterday was go time but i guess not. Anyone had this kind of experience before?

- 2023-07-22Hi Mommies, has anyone got preeclampsia during first pregnancy and has / no recurring one for the second pregnancy? Apparently my gynae has prescribed aspirin due to my first pregnancy preeclampsia.
I wonder if i could skip taking this aspirin as I am not sure what is the chances of having a recurring one for my second pregnancy? And if there is any side effect for taking this medication?
- 2023-07-22Hi mummies, when i did my last check up at 29 weeks, my baby was 1.6kg, and 2.5kg at 33 weeks Now that i checked again, baby is only 2.6kg at 35 weeks. - 2023-07-22Omg! I feel so embarrassed right now. This is my 6th pregnancy but my 1st time crying over a silly issue. So my hubby is supposed to buy takeaway today, and I told him I wanted dry mee pok prawn mee with lots of chilli as usual. Well, he bought exactly what I wanted but accidentally took home the wrong one(my brother in law's)which is yellow prawn noodle soup. He apologised and ask me try to eat as much as possible. I have hated that kind of noodle texture and rice eversince becoming pregnant and I simply can't even look at it as it's so gross to me. I sat down staring at the noodle and this pregnancy crying hormone immediately got me. I started bawling quietly and I didn't want hubby to see it so I hide inside the room and trying to calm down asap to avoid him finding out I'm actually crying over noodle. Lol... but he came inside the room and said the noodle can leave for our daughter to eat as he sees I didn't want it and apologised again and i answered "it's okay." But i ended up bawling again and this time he noticed it. He sayang me and asked why am I crying. Feeling so embarrassed, I hid under the blanket and took a big breathe telling him it's nothing. Just a pregnancy hormone that's making me crying over a noodle. He didn't even laugh at me. Lol.. he said it's ok. It's good that you cry it out and not hold it in then he immediately got changed and set out to buy for me again. This man, we've been together for 14 years and been married for 9 year, still as sweet as before. I feel so sorry for him. Lol.... silly me really🤣

- 2023-07-22Hi mummies... ive been a mom for 6months now and isit just me or im having a postpartum depression? Look, im a working mum (12hrs shift). Sometimes when im back from work and trying my best to be there for my son, i managed to entertain him for few hours, thats if he is still awake. And ive never say to my husband, "im tired". Until one day i told him my head hurts badly and im just tired.. and he says "im tired too." Okay man. I know ure tired working 12hr shift as well, but im trying hard here. Everytime when coming back frm home, he sometimes give me that wtf kind of look. It annoys me so much. Like come on man whats with the attitude. And i tend to feel easily getting way way way more emotions then ever. I cried when hes not around me, i cried looking at my son, i cried telling myself im not a good mum. It just getting out of hand sometimes. Any idea if this is postpartum depression mummies? ##firsttimemom #ftm #postpartrumdepression
- 2023-07-22Trying to exercise recently as i have gained weight tremendously over past weeks. Went to the gym but didnt dare to do too intensive exercise so was walking/light jogging on threadmill, and doing some hand exercises (pulling/pushing kind at a very comfortable weight of 5kg). Slow cycling on stationary bike. I didnt sweat at all in the gym but i do feel increase in heart rate during exercise and the soreness in my arms the next day.
Jus wondering how about the intensity for prenatal classes like pilates or yoga? Im not a sportsy person and i do not want to spend on these classes hence opting for free options.
- 2023-07-22Almost 13 weeks now.. whenever I sleep on my right and left side and I try to move, I'll always get this aching feeling on my hips for a few seconds. Tried sleeping on softer mattress also the same. It wakes me up sometimes when I'm sleeping and changing position. End up making me feel tired going to work since I don't get enough sleep :(
- 2023-07-22In addition to not being able to sit, stand or lay down properly without pains, even nausea is back. 😭 Diclectin does not help much other than make me sleepy. Any triggers like bad smell will trigger vomitting. Even my baby moving or kicking will trigger my gag reflex (and my baby is so strong and extremely active!!!). I throw up like nearly every night now, and gag so very often. And I thought 1st trimester was terrible...😖
How do you mummies cope with these 3rd trimester issues? 😢
- 2023-07-22Hi, any recommendations to relieve pain on my left rib cage? Every time I moved,I feel so painful and can't walk that much,I will feel very breathless and giddy. Doctor said is normal. :(. I'm 29 weeks now
