- 2023-05-01I’m around 5 weeks now and I went from exercising regularly to cutting down by half when we were trying to conceive to none when I found out I am pregnant. Feeling even more tired from the lack of activities yet at the same time very paranoid.
Any good recommendations?
I know they say to do yoga but is it okay to do any yoga or only prenatal classes?
What about golf?

- 2023-05-01Hi my LO is 2.5 months and hes been spitting up quite frequently since we change formula milk to enfamil pro A+. Spit after feed, during burping, hrs after feed. Tried to change feeding position and give him lesser milk from his usual 100ml to 80 ml but it is still the same. He started with NAN opti pro ( constipate + phlegm) thn change to frisolac ( runny stool), currently on enfamil pro (more spit up then previous 2 formula milk). Im using dr brown milk bottle as well. Is it because its too thin? Not sure if i should change formula again. #pleasehelp

- 2023-05-02Hello Mommies, any suggestions on important items I need to pack for our Hospital bag? Thank you in advance 🤗🙏🏻
- 2023-05-02My boy is 5.5mths, and caught a pretty bad cold that started on Apr 23. We went to the clinic 4 times in the span of 8 days as his conditioned kept worsening after each visit. Finally, yesterday, the doctor prescribed him with antibiotics and also hydralate because my boy was vomiting due to intense coughing plus his dislike for the other mid ones, and he was dehydrated.
I was wondering if any mummies here have had the pain of having to give your baby antibiotics before he/she turned 6 months? Is it really safe and alright for such young infants? I’m just worried at the side effects, even though the doctor said it was fine. I just find that drugs are generally not fine, especially when their kidneys & liver are not so well functioning yet.

- 2023-05-02Its my first pregnancy and I am currently 15 weeks pregnant. I stupidly resigned from my company to take a short career break before starting a new job. However, during my break I found out that I was pregnant. New company didnt want me, as expected. So I am caught in the limbo with no job.
My husband is supportive of me returning to the workforce after I deliver, but I still cant help feeling down… I know that I won’t have a problem securing a job as my skills are quite niche, however I am wondering if it is tough adjusting to new job and new baby when I am back next year. And feeling guilty fir not contributing to the family…

- 2023-05-03Hi all mums to be,
My MIL has offered to do my confinement for me, we haven’t talked much about the details yet, but from what I gather, it seems like she is willing to handle the cooking side of things.
I don’t expect her to help out in the night feeds or stay over honestly, cause she still has my FIL to take care of.
For those of you who had family members who offered help, did you stick with this or hire a confinement nanny for additional help?

- 2023-05-03I just started my confinement and have been taken 2 servings of low mercury fish (cod & threadfin) daily for a week - total 14 servings in 1 week. However just realised that recommended serving for breastfeeding mom is 2-3 servings per week.
Should I worried if it will affect my baby since I'm breastfeeding? I'm concerned if any mercury build up will affect my child.
- 2023-05-03Hi mummies!
I wanna ask how often do you guys eat fast food or instant noodle and bubble tea.
I was thinking to limiting myself to 1 time per week for fast food and 1 time per 2 week for instant noodles.
Bubble tea, if got tea I’ve been avoiding the whole time but I miss bubble tea…
Is it okay?
I love my maggie and French fries and I often crave for it. 🥺 I know it’s not healthy but I am trying to set a limit now.
Thank you mummies.

- 2023-05-03Any mummies stopped working halfway through your pregnancy?
Last week I was admitted to hospital due to suspected preterm labour and was given hospital leave of 7 days. Just when I’m ready to go back to work, I suddenly developed fever and flu and tested positive for covid, thus another 5 days of mc. I usually have to take leave once or twice a month for my antenatal check ups. I have maxed out all my leaves and I don’t know what to do anymore. My manager told me that there will be consequences if I start taking unpaid leave. I’m only 24 weeks, heard that there will be many more checks to do when approaching EDD. But I don’t have any more leave to take. Am I suppose to quit? If I quit now will there be any places that will hire me since I’m approaching third trimester already? Will anything happen if I skip all these appointments?
As my husband is only earning less than 1.5 a month, our plan is to rely on my income during maternity leave. If I quit then we have to figure out ways to stretch the dollar and I am extremely stressed out about that.
Any mummies with similar experiences? Appreciate your sharing.

- 2023-05-03Hello mummies i pump exclusively for my lo who is 2 months plus. Just today as i was feeding her i smelt the breastmilk from the bottle and it smelt like vomit. I have followed the storage guidelines and the breastmilk are kept in her milk bottles in the fridge for at most 2 days. I tried smelling the other bottles that are kept in the fridge and they smelt ok. However, after i heated up the milk in the warmer the vomit smell appeared again. I tasted the milk and it does taste like vomit but it is not sour. Is the breastmilk ok? Is it ok for my lo to continue drinking the milk although it smells and taste like vomit?

- 2023-05-04Im coming to 6 months post-partum, and i just found out that im pregnant again.
My first (previous) pregnancy wasn't a smooth sailing one. I need to eat medications for almost 8 months, as my morning sickness was very bad. (The medication makes me sleep alot.)
So what bothering me..
• Im afraid that with this pregnancy, i will neglect my firstborn.
• I have no idea how to break this news to my husband.
• I don't know how to tell my parents & inlaws about it.
• What would others think of me getting pregnant again when my firstborn is coming to 6 months.
• I've yet to go for th contraceptive consultation, which is next week and here am i preggy. (Jokes on me)
Help me out, mummies! I'm not as excited as i am when i got to know i conceived the first time.
- 2023-05-04Hi Mummies,
First time mum here and looking for some help.
My baby boy is in his 7th week now and from last two days he gets frustrated at breast sometimes during latching.
He will latch for 6 to 10 mins and then suddenly he gets super frustrated at breasts and starts crying. If I try to latch him again he will be very angry and will cry again.
I am unable to understand why this is. I know I have milk as I pump and supply is good. Then what could be the reason for baby to be getting fussy ? Is this growth spurt or something else ?
I am worried that my baby is latching for less time and hence not drinking enough milk.

- 2023-05-04This is my first pregnancy and just went for my 20w detailed scan. Doc told me i have low posterior mid placenta but told me its very common and still normal for 20w and nothing to be worried about. Saying itll move up as baby grows.
Altho docs says nothing to worry or do about it.
Is it normal for 20w and do any mummies placenta move up afterwards and had normal delivery?
Just need some reassurance as im the type that always overthink over the smallest things (‘:

- 2023-05-04Hi mummies,
Im currently pregnant with #3, 24 wks now. It is definitely diff from the other 2 pregnancy.
So this time, i feel pressure or you knw like bruised sensation at your pelvic area..? Yeah that kind.
But its not bruised, probably just some muscle issues. And its only on the left side. So whenever if i lift up my left leg or i get up from seating down, i will feel the pain at pelvic groin area there.
So my question is, i am under kkh subsides, do you think i can ask fr bedrest? Do i need to overnight then i can probably get a HL fr bedrest?
Anybody with this situation?

I am experiencing issues with Pigeon gomini digital pump.

Can I check if so change pump to some other brand, I can get more milk out ?

- 2023-05-04Anyone else deals with nausea by eating? Everytime I feel nauseas, I will eat something. It works. But on top of that, I also get hungry every hour. So I'm constantly eating from the time I wake up until the time I sleep. Of course it's always small things like a piece of cookie. Or sweets. Or a mouthful of sandwich. Or I will drink soya bean.
But I don't want to put on alot of weight this time. 1st pregnancy, I gained 20kg and it wasn't easy losing everything. Anything else I can do to fight off nausea??

- 2023-05-04Guys - I was down with flu in April for a week and have recovered.
3 weeks later and until today I am down with cough, the cough has been lingering for 2 weeks! It is very uncomfortable as I always have leakage when the cough gets too strong. I have been taking the medicine given by GP but it doesnt seem to work..
Any home remedy that can make me recover fast? There is no phlegm and no sore throat.. the cough is very dry cough and I just took my TDAP vaccine today

- 2023-05-04Advice on best maternity insurance with guaranteed life coverage?
Personally I feel that maternity insurance is useless (need persuasion), with the premium / coverage ratio, but the guaranteed life insurability (preferably with early ci riders inclusive) and some with guaranteed few years baby health coverage is what makes it feel worth it.
Any of you mummies bought maternity insurance, and which one you think is the best?

- 2023-05-05Does day 1 confinement start from date of delivery or discharge from hospital? I extended my 2 days stay in hospital and ordered food catering. Food ending on its 28th days on 6 May. But I delivered on 6 April 2023 and discharge from hospital on 9th May.
If I'm doing 30 days confinement, when is my last date of confinement?
Is it 6 May(baby full month) or 8 May?

- 2023-05-0523 weeks pregnant now. Today the surface area of my pubic (folds near the clitoris) region hurt and I can’t see what is going on because my belly is blocking my view. But I can feel 3 source of pain/small lump. It felt like pimples? I sometimes have pimple around groin area and it’s usually 1 only and I understand that it’s normal, but I never had 3 at once before. It’s slightly painful and very annoying. I’m not sure if it’s pregnancy related or if it’s even a pimple, anyone experienced this before? My next appointment with kkh gynae is 6 days time..
🥲
- 2023-05-05I have been doing the deed during my ovulation window (though I didn’t check using OPKs) but why is it so hard to get pregnant with baby #2?
Currently I’m having diarrhoea and cramps. Also missed my period for 2 days.
I don’t want to even take a home pregnancy test as I’m afraid of disappointment.
Anyone understand?

- 2023-05-05This is my first pregnancy, im still early in week 20, but am planning to start to note down things to buy for baby, and whats needed for hospital bag.
Im planning to deliver my baby at KKH (not sure natural or csect).
Can experienced mummies help me out on what to bring in hospital bag, in details and do hospital provide anything for mummy or baby?
And for newborn outfits for hospital stay, aside from swadle. muslim cloth, booties & mittens/hat, do i need to bring short sleeve or long sleeve onesies ? And do i need to bring newborn pants or not necessary since baby will still have their baby cord, Or just bring the sleeping onesie with long sleeve for both hands and legs.
Thank you in advanced mummies!

- 2023-05-05people are comparing my pregnancy to theirs coz they currently have milk leaking out n i dont…is this a cause of concern as my boobs are still not sore yet and im currently at 30 weeks but there’s no leakage or anything? they kept telling me to go for a pre natal massage so that they can massage the breast and let the milk leak what should i do
- 2023-05-05I’ve been down with what seems like a sinus infection (sinus backflow causing sore throat). No fever but very bad blocked/ runny nose. And I have been taking runny nose meds provided by my gynae cuz runny nose was one of my 1st trimester symptoms. Should I still see a GP?
Hubby came home with a flu bug (not Covid) last week with slight fever and all flu symptoms but have since recovered. May have caught it from him and reason why it is still controlled (no fever) maybe because I already took influenza jab.
But should I still see a GP for a peace of mind?

- 2023-05-05Hi, anyone took NPL/sabbatical before while ttc? Can share how did u/ what is the better approach to bring up to bosses?
Some context to share: I had 2 miscarriages before and the bosses know I’ve been planning for family…the 2nd time was quite recent. Bosses have been understanding & kind of expected my lower productivity during this grieving period. For this I am truly thankful.
But tbh I really don’t find any job satisfaction at current job and have been considering to switch career for a new start - but I am mindful that changing a job while ttc can be even more stressful, hence I really can’t make up my mind😞
I want to take a break from ttc for now and just let my body recuperate. my tcm advised perhaps can start trying again in Q4…so now I just have this thought to stay at current job first…then request for NPL starting in Sept, probably for 5-6mnths, hopefully company will approve…my heart craves a mental break like RIGHT NOW but I am willing to endure for a while more till then. Bcos I really hope a stress-free lifestyle will help sustain my next pregnancy esp during the early trimester.
Will I appear as an irresponsible staff for making such request? Any advice?😟

Do we need to bring pampers for our baby? Or will hospital provide. And usually how many set of outfit/onesies do we need to bring for our baby? Aside from the going home outfit.

- 2023-05-06Hi, do any if you mummies have any advice?
In my neighbourhood, there are a handful of people who smoke while walking along corridors and streets. When going to and from work, I will always end up breathing in the smoke.
We all know that second-hand smoke is highly detrimental in pregnancy, more so than smoking cigarettes directly..
What would you do to avoid breathing in second-hand smoke?
