- 2022-09-05Hello mummies. Am currently at 29 week 3 days. I went to KKH ODAC as my Blood test after glucose tolerance test was borderline and they took it as i have GDM. I have to prick myself 2 days every week 7 times. According to the glucometer result guide, my sugar level have been in the safest side. Mind you i was eating clean strictly. And then received a call saying that when they see the results its not favourable. So i have to the diabetic tablets. What does this mean? This is stressing me out like wth they want me to do? I eat clean, eat fruits that are recommended and strictly on Mineral Water. I’m so annoyed like what else am I supposed to do? Give me a break. #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby
- 2022-09-05I'm on week 11 and I cannot eat anything. I had loss of appetite since my earlier weeks but it now got worse. Each time i try to eat, i feel like throwing up. I try to take small meals or snacks but i can't seem to eat at all.
And i have been throwing up lots of burps of air and bile. Dilectin does not work for me. I've lost 5kg and I'm kinda depressed on how im not eating.
My next gynae appointment is one month's away..not sure if i should see a normal GP or schedule an earlier appointment with gynae.

- 2022-09-05Hi! I was just folding my baby’s clothes when I realised one of her rompers has mold on it. I was just wondering if it’s gonna affect the other clothes since I washed everything together? I remembered my baby had vomited on the romper few days back but I immediately handwashed it and hang it to air dry then washed it in the washing machine the next few days with her other clothes. This is the first time I found mold on my baby’s clothes. Oh, and I threw away the romper already!

- 2022-09-05Hello mummies do u have parents like this? My mum and dad(also partner in crime) each time comes my house (whether is it visiting LO or not) will bring unnecessary stuffs which we don't use or don't need. This has been going on for more than 5 years ever since I shifted to my new house. For example the most recent my mum brought Grape seed oil for cooking however I like to use olive oil. She persuaded me to use Grape seed oil saying its healthy and bought on a sale. I gave in and use the oil around half a bottle now but I don't like it. I read that it has high saturated fats. Then my mother upon seeing I use the oil she bought the same bottle again and brought it to my house on the recent visit. I can already predict she will buy another bottle. Then my dad will bring toilet rolls, mum always like to use the word share and brought like half a packet of opened raw rice to my house etc. She also said she bought 2 carrots and want to give me 1..for f***? Apart from food items, will also bring unnecessary stuffs and alot of empty tapao containers and say I will need it. The problem is my kitchen cupboard already have a few and she insisted me to keep the ones she bring. Also bringing her random stuffs like floor mat etc. How can I stop all these? I tried many ways and methods including rejecting, throwing away but every single trip to my house they will always bring things I dont need. Even if I need, I will prefer to buy on my own and already told many times but turned a deaf ear. Also my mum when she comes over she will look over my things...and asked me what is this what is that? Looked over my tidbits and ask is this for LO if yes she don't eat*face palm*. And eat this eat that. I am OK she treat herself at my house but I don't like her bringing unnecessary stuffs over. But i think some ppl wouldnt like the parents helping themselves to their house? And saying weird things for e.g my LO is not toilet train yet as he is still young and very obvious on diaper. So he went missing from living room for awhile when my parents are here and my mum asked me my LO went to pee is it? In my heart I'm like huh?? My husband also starts to interact lesser with them as he already knows their pattern which I can understand as I myself wants to keep a distance away too but they are my own parents sigh. He also feels like it makes us feel our household is a needy family lack of all these but actually we are not and my parents don't understand just continue wad they like to bring. My mother her own house is like a storage hub. She has seriously a tonne of things and i told her to donate out but she is not willing to. Says all her stuffs are expensive but to me they are bought during sales. Anyway i think its a good blessing to donate out to needy families but she doesnt want to. She likes to keep buying stuffs and keep. My mil abit like my mum will bring stuffs over but very seldom. My fil is the most cool. He will remind my mil saying what they like let them buy themselves. 😁My pil when they come over they just give me a sense of 'respecting my household' which i hope they will make themselves more comfortable whereas for my mum she's like going over my things etc.😅 Aside from ranting my parents good points are always there for me. #pleasehelp #frustrating

- 2022-09-06Hello, are there any telegram/WhatsApp group chat for May 2022 birth club ?
- 2022-09-06This has been very useful and I only started pumping after week 6 postpartum. This is not handsfree so some mums may see this as inconvenience. For me, this makes me put everything down and relax and pump. This serves its purpose as it should be. I find the parts easy to wash.
- 2022-09-06I like that this can be stacked, easy to remove and wash.

- 2022-09-06Hi mummies,
My baby is 10 and a half month now. How many times should a 10 month old baby have solid?
Currently he is having 2 meals. One is the afternoon and evening. Is it enough? Do I need to give solid in the morning as well?
Thanks.

- 2022-09-06Not sure if this is a silly question😅
My husband and I do not own a vehicle. And I was just thinking how we are going to bring our baby home from the hospital. Most likely we will book a taxi or private hire car.
Do I have to inform the driver that I am bringing a NB? Do I have to line the seats with something? Will the journey be painful for a recovering mum?

- 2022-09-06Hello everyone. I’m a FTM at 34weeks now. Today I felt a downwards pressure in my tummy and very very mild pain once in awhile. I have rather high tolerance for pain therefore I can’t tell if it is signs of labour.
Does anyone one of you felt similar symptoms? At how many weeks do you guys start having signs of labour before your baby arrives ??
Feeling a little confused right now. #firsttimemom #advicepls #firstbaby

- 2022-09-06Hi mummies! First pregnancy here and have seen alot of reviews on how epi kool & kotex overnight pants can help with after vag delivery. Planning to standby some in case.
How many is enough? I’ve heard not to get too many as epi kool is only needed for the first few days of soreness and kotex overnight pants is for heavy blood flow which will also only last for a few days before we can revert to normal sanitary pads?

- 2022-09-07I have been consuming tcm meds daily for 3 months when trying to conceive and i found out i was pregnant, at 4W6D today. Went back to my TCM and she prescribed tcm meds (for my constipation & 安胎药) for a week and was told to return next week. Wanted to ask other mummies here, should I continue with the TCM or stop soon? Not sure if it's safe but my practitioner seems experienced. I'm just worried and maybe paranoid. The meds she gave me are solutions made from powder so I'm not sure what herbs were used too.
- 2022-09-07Hi, do anyone here ever encountered pregnancy the baby is 1.4g at 32 weeks? Is it normal and is it will be accurate when the baby birth also petite? - 2022-09-07Hi mummies, I have hired a CL and the tentative sleeping arrangement will be me+nanny+baby in the master room.
I do not have extra spare room as my in laws stay with me. My hubby will sleep at living room for the one month.
Will it be ok for the nanny to share the same bed with me? As my master room still need to place the baby cot, and will only have space for a foldable mattress ( put on floor kind) if I do not share bed with the nanny.
I read from the contract that it is best for the Nanny to have mattress with bedframe. If unable to have bedframe, then at least a 3 inch thick mattress.
Any advises or things to consider? Thanks!!
- 2022-09-07Hi all, just wondering if your 10-week/2 month old is sleeping through the night for 5h? My baby still wakes up every 2h to feed. Anyone can share how to make baby sleep 5h at night?

- 2022-09-07Hi! My lo just turned 11 months recently. She has been sooooo cranky and it's been so hard to manage. At the same time, she's teething. She's been so fussy in the day and night. Wanting to cling onto me more. (there has been no change in routine). When she plays for awhile she'll get upset easily. Bring her out, she gets fussy as well. However, she's eating and drinking milk fine. I do give her teethers to help soothe her gums. At night she wakes up so often, crying for me to latch on. Please tell me this is a phase. I feel like it's back to the newborn phase. I'm so tired. People keep saying it'll get better but it really doesn't 😔

2. Any suggestion/recommendation on paediatrician in Singapore?

- 2022-09-07Hi mummies and daddies! My baby is turning 1 soon and i've read that they have to be transitioned to full cream milk instead of formula ones already. Question is.. - 2022-09-08I have a almost 2 years old son and 10 months old daughter that will be taking mandarin classes. Generally, we’re not a mandarin speaker but I would like my kids to learn and become a native speaker. Is it alright thou? Like will it be too hard on them or they can easily catch up at this age? I have a friend who is not Chinese but she’s a native speaker, she told me that her mom send her classes from the very beginning and she continued until secondary.
I honestly cannot catch up at this age 😅 Although, I really want to learn Mandarin. I have a thing for languages, you see.

- 2022-09-08Is it normal for an appointment to check for baby's heartbeat but to not see baby on the ultrasound? It is my 16th week appointment today and a bit down not being able to see baby's physical progress on screen. But i am very thankful to be able to hear a strong heartbeat, nonetheless ☺️
So i am wondering if it is normal for subsidised patients to experience the above? As i asked a few friends who was under private in KKH and all said that all their appointments had both ultrasound + check for heartbeat.
For my 12th week appointment, i was able to see baby on ultrasound but sonographer did not check for heartbeat, maybe understandably so as might be too early to check for heartbeat.
Just a little confused now heh.
Apologies for the long post!!

- 2022-09-09My 1 month LO is fully drinking breastmilk through bottle feed. And her stool has some blood. This is the 2nd time. The first time was last week and it became normal. Do I need to monitor again or bring to PD?
Update: Went to PD @ SBCC AMK and was advised by Dr Martha to stop drinking/eating dairy and continue to breastfeed cause LO may be lactose intolerant or allergic to cow’s milk. This is common in some babies and usually will resolve in few months time. But if there’s still blood in stool by end of 2 weeks (according to Dr, it takes 2 weeks like that for the dairy to clear in baby’s system and gut to heal), I need to go back and bring my LO’s stool to the clinic for a lab test. Praying that all is well!!!
- 2022-09-09Hello. Which brand of milk should I get for my newborn baby?

- 2022-09-09The doctor did a hearing screening test for my baby on the 2nd day of her born day. The doctor said that her left hear can’t hear. Did any mommy experience this before? How valid is the result? I am so worried. 😥😭#firstbaby #pleasehelp #advicepls
- 2022-09-09Hi all moms!
On 6 sept I did a test then it shows a faint line ( very light ) immediately after I dip
Then to confirm … 3 days later I did the test again from the same brand but this time around the line seems almost invisible and lighter than previously done test !
FYI; second test done in the morning :)
Any idea what should I do next ?
Could this be just an error or chemical pregnancy ?
Thank you in advance :)
- 2022-09-09Hi Mummies,
Would you have any natural sore throat remedies to share? Do not want to touch antiobiotics and honey is also not recommended for consumption during pregnancy.

- 2022-09-09I’m currently week 17 and I can’t sleep and I’m always awake, is there ways for me to sleep comfortably ?
- 2022-09-09Is it normal that i dont like my neighbour? So they moved in recently and their renovation was pretty long so i had to suffer with all the noise and things like that and on top of that, during that time i just gave birth so plus no sleep, i had to deal with all of the reno noise. Imagine my frustration?
When they move in, they cant even smile and acknowledge us. Idk if it's close minded of me to think that just because we're malays and they might see us differently? I wear a tudong so idk if its because of that. My husband was talking to his friend outside one day and my neighbour's husband simply went out and told him to keep quiet because his daughter is trying to sleep.
I mean what the hell? All these while ive been tolerating the reno noise and i have nvr said nor complain to them. No hello no apology nothing.

- 2022-09-10I am curious has anyone experience having bleeding like menses during 1st trimester but baby is healthy . I experience bleeding for 7 days started little .. then increases in 2 to 4 day and reduced back on 6 day? My check up is only next week so I'm curious if anyone has this experience before.
- 2022-09-10In week 8-9 now, and felt that symptoms have alleviated over the last 2-3 days. Prior to this, symptoms of slight nausea, bloat and fatigue started around 6-7 weeks.
At this time, the symptoms are supposed to get stronger and peak.
I understand that symptoms come and go. But
1) how long does it go for it be to too long. When do we seek medical attention.
2) is it usual if the symptoms go (as early as first tri) and never come back.
For context my last check up was at 7 weeks And all stats are normal including heartbeat.
I also had an earlier missed miscarriage before this.
Ps I’m concerned about loss of symptoms for days as opposed to having no symptoms from the start. There seems to be no clear answers in old posts
#firsttimemom
Thanks all!

- 2022-09-10Really worth the buy. My wife loved it. The portability, functionality and yield was pretty good. Services on Philips side was amazing too. There were some issues with the loose silicone pads. 1 call to Philips was all it took and they delivered the replacement parts within 3 days.
