- 2024-02-05Hello mommies! I’m currently in week 21 and my bump is still quite small 🥲 Most people don’t think I look pregnant even with tighter fit. Some promoters even thought it’s just my after birth / sit too long at work belly fats.
I do understand baby bump size does not determine baby’s growth. However, just curious — may I know how big is your bump currently? Is it noticeable?

- 2024-02-05Hi Mummies, I'm currently 20 weeks and will be about 24 weeks on 2nd March which I have tickets to the Taylor swift concert. Can anyone advise is it OK to go? I did ask doctor and doctor say see my condition. Any other mummies who have attended concerts when baby around 6 months or more? As worried the noise will affect them
- 2024-02-05I've noticed in the past couple of weeks in my 3rd trimester that my belly button "sunk" back in even though it's been popped since my 2nd trimester. When I tell my husband about it and point out the sunken belly button, we see it slowly being pushed back out 😂 kinda seems like my baby is playing with the umbilical cord? Now that I'm in week 33, she's been doing this more often so that I can feel her tugging my belly button and pushing it back out. Has anyone else experienced this?

- 2024-02-06I have been trying to combine the R number and Birth cert number of my 4 month LO for months, and even called in, emailed and went down physically to the polyclinic to ask for it. And nothing had been done. Anyone can help advice on where else I can go to get these numbers combined? I have been trying to see my LOs appts on my NUHS app but as the numbers aren't combined, they don't show up. Emailing the NUP contact centre just returns me a template email tt they'll forward my email to the polyclinic.
- 2024-02-06Hi mummies, just curious if anyone face same thing.
I always bring 6 diapers in my 4m baby’s bag to ifc. From the school app record, they usually do 3-4 diaper changes, most days is only 3.
However when we go back to pack for next day, theres always like only 1 diaper left. But it doesnt tally with the amount of changes in the app.
And i wonder where did all the diapers go. To the point sometimes i feel somebody’s taking my baby’s diaper. (Pls dont bash me for this)
Aside from asking the teacher, which i will, just wondering if anyone face same thing
- 2024-02-06Has anyone had experiences with their baby having diarrhoea? My 8 mth old baby is having it now and it caused a very big abrasion in between her bum cheeks. She will cry when we try to clean her up. I feel so bad for her. What can i do to make the diarrhoea go away. Just changed a diaper and another one came. 😓😓

- 2024-02-06I feel angry when my spouse go back to his parents place every other day for dinner after work while his brother doesn’t and is able to spend time with his own family but why does my husband keep going back to his home like is wants a single life. It’s not as though he is single parent (I would understand his worry if he is in that situation but his parents are able to take care of each other) .
I am heavily pregnant and staying with my parents and he only unwillingly shift over 1-2 weeks ago. His frequency of going home makes me understand how much he is unwilling to stay over at mine. And he only know the importance of moving only when I went to the hospital on my own due to suspected preterm labour while he is sleeping soundly in the comfort of his parents. He also doesn’t feel and understand what I go through as a pregnant person and think I am having an easy life just staying home while he needs to work..
I don’t know if it’s the hormones that is talking or what. Can anyone enlighten me please ? I need someone to talk sense to me if I am not making sense .
- 2024-02-06What can be put in uv steriliser other than bottles? Are these items safe to put in uv steriliser: pacifier, teether, toys?

- 2024-02-06Hi mummies, is this diaper rash?
When i picked my baby up from ifc teacher told me he got diaper rash which was a shock to me he barely had any diaper rash before. Other than his butthole red cause always poop.
When i came back to shower him, both his inner thigh was super red 😭 feel like crying seeing this. He was perfectly fine that morning, skin was fine.
Is diaper rash normal ? What product should i use ? Im currently using pureen diaper cream and huggis naturemade. I dont think its the diaper as he’s been using it since birth.

- 2024-02-07Had a fever last week which I took Paracetamol that I bought from hospital.. now that there’s no fever it developed into a cough. Will go into a coughing fit when my throat is triggered eg dry (already spamming loads of water so ok) or suddenly very itchy somehow it’s uncontrollable.. idk if it affects baby cos even my lower pelvic muscle also feel ache w the cough.. once the spree is over I’m back to normal. Just a lot of phlegm
Any mommies experienced same before and took OTS meds to rid the cough? Still haven’t got the chance to go GP, thinking of self medicating first

- 2024-02-07Hi mummies, I would like to check with you guys on breastmilk feeding. I’ve been exclusively latching my babies for her milk. Recently I’ve started bottle feeding her to train her for infant care. She has been adjusting well but her trend is to consume an average of 300ml per day. This is only from day time 7am-6pm, bottle fed breastmilk. Night time i would breastfeed her directly. Is this normal, should i see a doctor?

- 2024-02-07Hi mummies, FTM here. Is it normal regarding the following situation?
LO currently 3MO, starting to be curious and grab hold onto things. Whenever anyone carries her, she would grab onto our shirt tightly and sometimes have a "shock" / "scared" expression , as though if she let go, she would fall. Or if she is on diaper changing table, she would grab tightly onto the side bar, or even on the rocker, she would hold tightly on to the side as well.
Also, she doesn't know how to sleep on her own and will always cry when she is tired, we have to pat her/use baby carrier, and have to carry & walk, if not she would cry (esp if we remain stationary/if we sit down/put her down onto bed and pat her).
Sometimes when she finally fall asleep and we put her down onto her bed very gently, she would open her eyes suddenly (again, in shock) and cry and we have to pat her again to sleep. It takes several attempts to make her sleep..
Or at times when we carry her in our arms and she is finally falling asleep, her arms would suddenly jerk and eyes wide open (in shock) and close back and fall asleep and then after 2 to 3 mins, it will happen again - she would suddenly jerk and wake up..
Just a note that we didn't drop LO before.. I read about Moro reflex but doesn't seems like it leh... a bit worrying and wonder when will this (LO always in shock) go away..
- 2024-02-07Thoughts on mother in law and how do you deal with them?
- 2024-02-08My LO is 7 months now and i'm in the midst of stopping breastfeeding.. which means LO is drinking NAN supremepro FM more than half the time.. and recently her poop are all dark green.. is this normal? I'm not sure if it's FM cos i didn't feed her anything green for solids.
- 2024-02-08My baby is 8month+ now. He was mixed feeding before. Since we start solid for him after 6 month , he refuse to take bottle (we use Similac brand). Yes he still taking my breast feeding, solid 3 to 4 times per day.
Any one knows why like this.
Wondering he don’t like the taste of Similac or don’t like bottle feeding.
Should I change another formula brand? Any recommendation?
Thanks in advance.
- 2024-02-08I stopped vomiting since about week 14 but food still taste weird to me.
- 2024-02-08Hi Mummies! I had my 12 weeks scan 2 days ago. So grateful that all is good. Baby is active tossing here and there.
But, my next scan is at 20 weeks, in April, which is 8 weeks away. Is it normal? I have a Dr appointment at 16 weeks, but no scan being scheduled. Will everything be okay by then?
Do any mummies go for a scan elsewhere like private clinic just for a peace of mind? Or am I just being paranoid for worrying too much?

- 2024-02-08Just pouring my heart out here.
My baby was all well and healthy. Was 34 weeks. We went to checkup on Monday and was so happy to see her with head down position preparing to see the world. Just 2 days after the checkup, i felt no movement at all. I kept thinking she's probably sleeping. No kicking, nothing at all from morning till late afternoon. She's usually so active in my tummy. Breaks my heart so so much to hear that there was no heartbeat detected. While waiting to give birth, I could hear babies crying in the other room and all I could think of was here I am in the delivery suite without hearing my baby's cry.
Days after giving birth to my baby, I'm so sick and tired of hearing "Can try again". I feel so paranoid hearing that every single time. And on the other hand, sure there are people that's gonna text you condolences and such but saying 'Let me know if you need anything' is like why the hell should I come to you if I need anything. Shouldnt you be the one coming to me and comfort me instead of me finding you? It's easier said than done. After I lost my baby I really feel so paranoid at so many things. I couldnt bare seeing a pregnant women or a newborn baby. It breaks my heart every single time. I dont wish to see anyone. Talk to anyone at all. Some of the people that I expected to be there for me wasn't even there at all. The least expected person were the ones that came. Sigh.

Doc said I am already at 8 or 9 weeks and able to scan already when I go KKH for appointment and most prolly KKH will set my appointment at first week of March. But I am feeling impatient and anxious. Is it advisable for me to go to a clinic that is able do scanning before my appointment is set at KKH?

- 2024-02-08Hello mommas! I noticed that my newborn (3 weeks) pass her motion (bowel movement) only once a day for two days already. Her bowel is quite many. It filled-up the whole diaper. I’m not sure if once a day is normal. She is taking formula milk, S26.
I also noticed she just keeps on farting or looks like trying to pass motion but nothing comes out.
One more thing… we noticed she looks calmer when using pigeon bottle than philips avent. But this just happened two days ago. Before she was ok with both bottles and pass motion frequently (2-3 times a day).
I’m not sure if this is normal. If not could it be the milk we’re feeding her or the teat/nipple bottle? Thank you moms!

- 2024-02-10This week, during our music lesson, children learned the song " I put my scarf on my head" and engage in using props ( scarves ) to enhance their sensory experiences and creativity.
Through this activity, children moved their bodies to the rhythm of the song and imitate actions related to putting scarf on different body parts.
They had lots of fun and enjoyed themselves dancing to the song. If you have any scarves at home, you can also play this song and let your child dance and sing along at home! ☺️

- 2024-02-10Just wanted to rant about mil. I just dont like her as a whole. Way before i even gave birth. Im staying with in law.
One of the reason, She likes to buy things for my baby without asking us. Anything. Small washer, toys, clothes etc. i just dont like it. And likes to do things without telling us.
My baby’s turning 6 months in 2 months time, meaning he’ll be starting solid. Ive always been so excited and waiting for the day whereby i can buy him the high chair, the cute utensils, the suction plates and bowls. Its a big thing. Or atleast for me. Especially when it’s our first baby. I wanted the whole buying experience and creating memories for me and for my baby.
But my mil just spoiled it. She suddenly say she already buy my baby’s chair online and told us not to buy. When we ask her what kind of chair she say she just buy online. Told us not to buy baby’s bowl cause she already got it. Like wtf. I felt like she stole the whole experience from me. I felt so pissed. Yes people can say just buy whatever i like dont care about her. But shes the type that will make noise when people buy things thats already have or dont use the things she buy etc.
Aside from it, she dont really know about things, she just anyhow buy. What if the item is not safe for baby? What if its flimsy? What if my baby fall down because of the chair?
The thing is, its not really about the things she buy, but more to the feeling of her stealing the excitement and experience of my baby’s new “milestone”. Maybe to others its a small thing. But not for me.
And yes my husband alr told her alot of times dont buy things without asking us but she’s the very stubborn and “im always right” kind. And yes shes the type that keep asking us to feed our baby WATER since newborn, esp when our baby is sick. Sick of this.
- 2024-02-10My husband and I have been married for 11 years. We have two kids together. I would say that there's been many unmet needs on both sides but we tried to work things out together after one crisis about 2 years ago.
The funny thing was i had two dreams in September and December 2023 which was about him cheating on me with other women. I told him about these dreams back then, and thought I was just overthinking or undergoing some suppressed trauma that I might not have been aware of.
This year on my boy's birthday, something told me to check his phone and to my horror, I discovered he's been patronizing 'erotic massage' services over the past year. These would usually be on days/times he would tell me he has to leave for work earlier, or going out with his colleagues to have dinner.
In a nutshell, my whole household knew about it cus I broke down like a mad woman, even worse than having to lose someone forever, worse than grieving over my late father. The whole estate could probably hear me in the wee hours.
I could not help but to feel devastated, worthless and kept picturing him being touched by another woman. To me, the sexual intimacy was love making...I felt loved and protected, appreciated and cared for. His moves on me and all the passionate moments.
Its been almost 3 weeks since I discovered, and I'm surprised how calm I am, despite going through bouts of breakdown and then transmuting that energy into focusing on my work. Went for counselling for myself, and also got him a counselor...and we planned to go for marriage counselling together after CNY.
Frankly, I don't really know how to feel about this. It's so traumatic to believe he's capable of doing all of these despite him claiming to 'love me'. if he does love me, how can he bring himself to do these, moreover as a father.
I did try to have sex with him after that but I kept ruminating images of him being touched and rode by other women. (He's received 3 hand jobs and 1 full f*** service, all different people). I no longer feel that the sexual intimacy we had is sacred. It's just lust.
I thought I am going to start healing, cus frankly I have an elderly mother and two children. I don't wish to destabilize the family unit for now...and maybe deep down I still love this man...but I can never enjoy passionate moments, or be as happy as we used to be before.
I feel like silenced, pained and foolish. There are times I would love for him to still be around. There are also times I wish he isn't here, cus really the thought of him being rode on by another woman, his 'jade stalk' penetrating another woman (despite a condom on), or his 'jade stalk' being massaged by other women (who also serviced other dirty men), is just totally off-putting.
I feel hurt, worthless etc...and now I think I am coping with this by spending moment on myself - making myself confident, spending a lot of things (which I have been putting on hold due to expenses on children) to make myself happy, attractive (not for him but for myself). Although i continue to still have ruminating thoughts of him being f***ed by that whore...I just cannot help it...
I could not eat, drink or function at all and on other days when i feel better I would eat just very little, reminding myself that I need to lose weight and feel attractive again, and sometimes I would just overeat. Just asking myself what exactly is wrong with me or the sex. Was I not good enough in bed when he told me he enjoys so much and he appreciates me all that. I know I am fat after the childbirth but I did not have the finances (or rather, had to channel our finances into our children and family) due to being dismissed during pregnancy back then. Who don't want to look pretty and look sexy?
A week after I discovered, I had yet another dream showing me that he has shared his sexual service experience with a colleague (who reportedly was the one who introduced him to this spa, and many others). I confronted him about this because he told me he actually did not enjoy the experience and in fact, could not ejaculate as he felt 'weird' but finally did after the whore finished the service with a handjob instead (that's what he claimed). Then he said that he was just boasting about it to his colleague. So I told him, I rather him be sharing that he has mind blowing sex with me than to have said that! Regardless, I demanded that he tell his colleague that he is wrong to have done it, and that I have discovered this issue.
I asked him about it that morning, and he said I'm overthinking things. That night, I had to trust my instincts and went to check his phone when I got home while he was taking a nap. I scrolled back to the time he was known to have being f**ked by the whore, hoping I am wrong about it. Indeed, i discovered he actually shared that his leg was 'jellified' and that he has not had such a mind-blowing experience for such a long time. Keeping in mind, his colleague has seen me, my kids and children a few times before.
I thought I could at least move on from the discovery of the whoring...but this...is really devastating and insulting. Yet he can still tell me he loves me but he didn't know why he did all that last year, (while we were regularly sexing).
I did consult legal advice and I know I have up till July to decide whether or not to file for divorce based on adultery. But inside, I am still fighting to try forgive him and move on in order not to destabilize our family unit. It would be too much for my elderly mother. (To be honest, I am shocked that she has 'forgiven' my husband, and not even wanting to pursue the matter. She said that for the sake of children, just have to self-sacrifice.)
CNY just started so I am pretending strong, happy but actually deep down...I feel like shit. LIke now at 1am, I am feeling down and sad.
Don't have anyone else to talk about this, although my RO (at work), and 1 trusted subordinate knew about this (it took me a long time to decide whether or not to even talk about it...but I needed a support network and just gave no f**cks about it anymore.)
I feel that my heart is dead, not healing. Feels like a PTSD.
