- 2022-09-12This is my first pregnancy and I’m currently in my week 20. Recently I start to realise that my poo is darker than usual even though I didn’t eat any black food (black sesame, black chicken etc). Have been observing for a week, and it is still the same. Is this normal? can’t help feeling worried if it will affect the little one inside. *sob sob* 😭

- 2022-09-12Hi mummies to be,
I have fibroadenomas (lumps) in my breasts before my pregnancy and I have been going to kkh every year for ultrasounds for review.
For my current pregnancy, I experienced bleeding for quite some time and was given duphaston n proluton jabs. Was worried that these hormone pills might affect the lumps but yet it seems necessary to take them to support my pregnancy. Just wondering if any mummies had similar experiences.
Thank you in advance.

- 2022-09-13I did a frozen embryo transfer of a day 5 blastocyst and during my first scan at week 6 day 4, my gestational sac measured smaller at week 5 day 3. There was also no yolk sac and heartbeat visible. My understanding is that the dates would be very accurate for ivf, and measuring behind on my scan made
me very worried. Does this mean the pregnancy is not viable? Any positive stories of similar situation that anyone could share?

- 2022-09-13I have been exclusively breastfeed my boy and he is going to be 9 months old. My supply drops. As a full time working mum, I need to schedule 2 pumping sessions despite having busy working schedule. Lately, I have thought to intentionally reduce my supply by reducing pumping and subsequently stop breastfeeding. I am having mixed feelings right now.
When do you stop breastfeeding? Do you have mixed feelings like me too? If yes, how do you overcome it?

- 2022-09-13Hi Community,
Do any of you have any recent experiences with Dr Cordelia Han Chih Chih at Raffles hospital?
She's been my doctor for the duration of my pregnancy. It's been a rough journey with her since the beginning. I stuck it out because, despite my feelings, I hoped she had the baby's best interests at heart. My most recent visit with her changed that. Baby is quite big, and if I carry to term, baby may be over 4kgs.
I asked about the elective c-section package at the hospital. My thinking is that at 39 weeks, if there's no sign of labor and baby is large (over 3.6kgs), this is an option I can choose. According to Dr. Han, there is no choice available to me - only she can decide on whether or not I have a C-section. And, I can't even reject the use of forceps or other foreign delivery aids and opt for a C-section. That decision, according to Dr Han, is also hers to make.
Side note: according to information on the NUH site, "A local study of shoulder dystocia in Singapore determined that a birth weight above 3.6kg was associated with a 16 times higher risk for shoulder dystocia compared to pregnancies resulting in the delivery of an infant weighing less than 3.6kg."
I've gotten a second opinion from another private OB-Gyn that contradicts this information received by Dr Han.
Every visit with Dr. Han has made me feel so disrespected. It's like she doesn't listen to anything I'm saying or asking for. This last visit though has really shaken me. I really feel so conflicted because I've been with the doctor throughout my pregnancy and she has all my medical history for the journey thus far.

- 2022-09-14We are married for more then 10 years and we had a 10 year old child. I am Singaporean and he is french. 8 months ago I found out that he is having an affair with a bar hostess in CQ.
We been there a couple of times and I warned him about her as well. I could literally see her evil intention! I found out about them early this year and have a copy of their WhatsApp archives.
I am so broken and drained, I am in pain.
He wants to stay in the relationship but I am so tired and disgusted by his acts.
How do I love him again?
How do I forgive him?
How do I trust him again?
How do I stop thinking?
His affair is mentally torturing me everyday.
He told me he has no more contact with that hostess but how can I be certain?
For now, I am staying put for my daughter. Thinking maybe I should grind my teeth, let go of the hurt and provide her a happy family but I am currently feeling helpless and I felt like I am already at the edge giving up. Have been trying to get a job but it’s not easy after 10 years of not working. Feeling lost..
- 2022-09-14No cramping or bleeding, but doctor said my baby was not growing well asked to wait next scan. 10 weeks. Do I need to get any supplements? I really want a baby, just things haven't aligned until now. Any success stories with a beginning similar to mine?
- 2022-09-14Hi! Any idea if I were rejected by Prudential for maternity to baby insurance due to previous medical history, can I try to purchase similar policy from another insurer like AIA or AXA instead? Will they be able to check and know my medical history and reject my maternity insurance application too?
I’m at desperate ends as I’m hitting 36 weeks and my maternity insurance was rejected due to history of depression. If I don’t declare to new insurer, will I have higher chance of getting approved?

However since I’m a FTM, there are quite a lot of things to prep on my end and it adds up to the monthly expenses. Just wanna know, for newborn diapers, what are some cheap & good brands? Averagely how much does it cost per diaper to be considered cheap?

- 2022-09-17Its been a tough week for me and i have no one to confide in. The story happens when we were in a relationship for two years and i have a son out of wedlock with him. My husband(then boyfriend)came to know someone whom he worked with at that time and at first it was only just colleague friendship which i don't mind at all since he never did any of this stuff before when he's with me. So after months of me telling him that i'm not okay with them being friends he "claimed" that he ignored her etc. So moving forward,we got married after i give birth to my son and its been 1 year plus. This week,i went thru his ipad, just randomly looking at pictures of us and our kids when suddenly i found a text that at first i find it hard to believe cause yes the way the text read is different from the way i always text him so at first i have my doubts, told myself it couldnt be my husband, maybe it was his friend cause the number is not saved so i asked him and he act all stupid with me. So i asked him again after i put in the number on my phone then i know who it was so i told him not to lie and he told me that he had a relationship with her when i was pregnant with my first son. He told me it was only 2-3 days after that he end things with her. Im not dumb so i told him im calling the girl up to ask her and when i did she told me they had a relationship for months up till i'm about to give birth from around september 2020-november 2020 and they had gotten intimate quite a few times, she send me videos of them together talking after sex and he asked her if it was good and she was smiling and touching him, sends me conversations of them and pictures of them together, kissing and hugging all the while i was at my parents home heavily pregnant and insecure about myself. It kills me seeing him so happy with her. They were also talking about me how she's jealous he was spending almost all of his time with me etc. I broke down cause i was nothing but faithful to him,i trusted him and ignore everyone who told me not to be with him. He insults me throughout my pregnancy claiming i have another man thats why i have a child and my son couldn't be his. All the while he's the one being unfaithful. My heart hurts and the more i look at him the more i think about it. Eventhough it didn't happen when we are married it still hurts and when i think about it he did act suspicious throughout our relationship and i kind of knew about their relationship but i didnt want to believe it cause i trust and love him. What hurt me the most is that why must i found out now that we are married, why not before i give birth?i look at my son cause he came to me when i was crying, holding me and trying to comfort me eventhough he dont understand anything and i feel guilty. Him and i we went thru alot during my pregnancy with him. I cried alot thats why i think he had that bond with me. I decided to stay although i dont know if thats a good decision for me now that i have two kids with fear he would do it again. He told me he wont but i dont know...its just mentally f***** me up.
- 2022-09-17Many starts telling me to have number 2...now baby 1 year old...I am not working coz baby in sch and often fall sick n i don have much help so i never work after giving birth..now depend one income..

- 2022-09-17Hi, has anyone tried using this package? If we are Singaporean do we need to state that we want to use this package using our medisave or it’s automatically included. But even if we use this package, we still need to top up some cash correct? Interested to hear some experiences as the people not sure of this.
Also, for us to be included in this package, during labour/delivery, do we sign to use husband’s medisave for the delivery charges or we need to use our own medisave?
