- 2023-04-03Any mummies had implantation bleeding? If I don’t experience implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy, would I experience in the subsequent pregnancies (if have)?
I’m currently having cramps and saw spotting of blood but unsure if it’s implantation bleeding. I’m also very hungry.

- 2023-04-03Hi mummies! I’ve been pumping and after 20 mins, when I use my hand to hand express, I still get milk ‘sprays’ and flow. Does this mean my pump is not effective for me? Cause typically after the first 8-10 mins I don’t get anymore flow when pumping anymore.
Thanks!

- 2023-04-03Hi everyone, i got the Gestational Diabetes
even i am watching my daily diet strictly. I feel very upset and dont know what to do.
- 2023-04-03Usually how long does spotting/bleeding last during the 1st trimester? Doctor prescribed me with dydrogesterone for 2 weeks. Its almost 6 days since I took it 3 times a day. @ times the spotting is in very light brown and @ times its dark. This only happens whenever I pee and there is no trace of any spotting / bleeding in the pad/pentyliner. Next gynaecologist appointment is on 11 Apr 2023. Any mummies out there when through the same? Feeling very anxious as back in Oct'22 I had a miscarriage. Worried that history might repeat again 😢

- 2023-04-03Hi ladies who have been through pregnancy loss previously…wondering how long HL did u ask/ was given?
I told my gynae I will be doing a 2 weeks mini confinement and asked for 2 weeks HL. She only issued me 5 days and said subsequent days will be under MC. That’s her usual practice apparently…but seriously, only 5 days HL for miscarriage, does it make sense??
This is my 2nd pregnancy loss within 5 months and she knows about it. I am sure she is also aware of my emotional state as well, as I cried a few times during consultation. I just don’t get it why a private gynae would refuse to extend HL for patients😔 it makes me feel that she has no empathy and personal touch for her patients
- 2023-04-03Hi, is there anyone here seeing a private gynae for their monthly scans but instead of engaging their private gynae for delivery went to deliver at govt hospital? I'm thinking of doing this as my private gynae delivery charges and as well as the private hospitals charges he's delivering at, are quite high.
But I'm not sure how to go about it? Do I walk in the I govt hospital for delivery? Or do I at need to book a gynae at govt hospital?
- 2023-04-03And if continue walking, your entire body starts to feel weak, like nearly blackout?
- 2023-04-03Currently my placenta is located on my lower left (side). Was told to avoid sex by the gynae. Any mummies out there ever proceeded having sex with this condition? #firstbaby #advicepls

- 2023-04-03Hi, i am wondering if your boss is understanding and accommodating with regards to you being pregnant.
I can't help but feel that the workforce here is nt exactly supportive to us mummies/pregnant mummies.
Its my 2nd time pregnant and this time I'm in a different company. Both times, i feel the bosses are not that understanding.
After annoucing I'm pregnant, im still being micro managed, given tons of work with tight deadlines. Im not asking for no work but with the not feeling well on n off, mc for check up, i really can't finish the tasks in such a tight time and i am trying to avoid working OT.
Im not sure how to let my boss understand without making my performance looks bad.
Sometimes i also wonder, Govt wants us to give birth but it's just so hard. Do they know how hard it is and have they provided enough info, educate or help employers so they can prehaps treat pregnant mummies with more understanding?
Curious to know if your bosses are like that too.

- 2023-04-04Hi mummies,
Would you move to a role for better development in terms of covering a wider scope of job nature with a slight pay cut, slighter lesser leaves by 3 days, however the company have more flexibility and encouraged work life balance.
Or would you stay in a job just because you are comfortable, however working 30min more, but job is not fulfilling and mundane. And work life balance is not definite as its numbers driven?
Please advise. Thank you.

- 2023-04-04Hi my newborn baby has redness bumps all over the face. Is it heat rash and is it normal ? How to resolve it? I tot of bringing him to the clinic.
- 2023-04-04#advicepls my 2yr plus old son goes into 15mins-30mins severe meltdown every day for the past few days. He's having fever and flu for a while, so we thought it might be due to him feeling uncomfortable.
But the meltdowns are quite bad. He would cry uncontrollably, scream, go hysterical and nothing can stop him. He throws himself backwards violently and sometimes starts hitting me when I tighten my grip on him (to prevent him from falling). Each meltdown goes on for more than 10mins, happens once or twice a day, and the trigger can be something really minor eg change diaper. Not sure if I aggravated or triggered though cos sometimes I'm just very loud and assertive. But he usually responds well to all these triggers.
Just like to understand if this is normal behaviour, ie kid can go hysterical when sick for no reason. Or it's something we need to work on, eg it's a fundamental problem thats not due to sickness?.

- 2023-04-05Hi all, need your advise. I went to see gynae 2 weeks ago with ultrascan it show that my gestational age is 6 weeks plus… went for ultra scan yesterday gynae say not able to detect heartbeat and refer me to do transviginal scan , report came out my gestational age still 6 weeks and no fetal heart pulsation. What does it mean? Does it mean that the baby is no longer growing ? Is there any possibility that heartbeat will be detect later? Based on LMP, I should be 9 weeks plus. I had miscarriage once last year so I’m kinda worried it might happen again. #advicepls
- 2023-04-05Hello, I have been having right lower tummy pressure all the way downwards into the right inner thigh bone. Sometimes pressure right above my pubic bone area. I feel like all that are normal due to baby growing.
However, I have been having tailbone pain radiating upwards to my spine. It’s more of pain instead of pressure in my spine now. Is this normal? I took epidural for my first pregnancy is this the side effects of it?
Told my gynae about the tailbone pain and she said it’s normal just cushion it while sitting down to lessen the pain.

- 2023-04-05Hi mommies!
I'm in week 24 and 4 days. Since last evening, I started having this pain like cramp around my pelvis area whenever I stand and walk. And even turning in bed. Never experienced it before w my 2 other pregnancies. I've checked, there was no bleeding or spotting. Wondering what it is and must I consult doctor for it? Worries me as I'm a Type 2 diabetes mommy. Had it since my 2nd pregnancy, tho, no complications throughout.
Thank you.

And well oh well, I was bad to have lied to him that I already had my period(my period was supposed to come on the 2nd of april)and only came 4 days very light that didn't require a pad🤣I had to say this as he touches me few days back so he knows that I wasn't using a pad🤣I don't want him to know just yet as I'm planning to go for my 1st appt to get hold of baby's first ultrasound pic🤣if anyone has an idea for surprise, pls drop it down here. Appreciated 🥰
- 2023-04-06Any reviews on baby express (or any other) portable breast pumps? I alr have S1 & considering to get a portable pump so that I can use it whenever I am out with my first child.
But I’m not sure if it’s worth to even get a portable pump because my yield is not as much (even feel like giving up now , it is just my third week w a newborn 😭) Idk why the supply jus wouldn’t cross over 100ml (combined) each pump sesh ☹️

- 2023-04-06This is my first pregnancy and im not sure what to expect. Im in my 16th week, but theres not a day that goes by that i dont worry for my baby in my tummy. Is it doing well? Is it still breathing? Is it still growing? Especially its still too early to feel baby movement of kicks, im not sure if baby is doing well or not.
Im trying not to spend too much $ on private gynae for scans in between my kkh appt.
I worry too much, that from the start of my pregnancy till now i sometimes dream about miscarriages, which made me even more worried.
Is it normal?
So far i never experience any bleeding etc

- 2023-04-06My LMP was on 7 Feb 2023. On 28 Mar'23, I had brown discharge and on the same afternoon I went for my 1st gynaecology appointment. Gyne did abdominal and vaginal scan, only sac could be seen. Base on scan i was 4 weeks pregnant. Gyne prescribed me with dydrogesterone for 2 weeks to support the pregnancy and help with the discharge as I previously had a miscarriage on Oct'22. Next gynaecologist appt was scheduled on 11 Apr'22. Since 28 Mar'23, whenever I pee, there is brown discharge and yesterday 5 Apr'23, I experience 1st episode of bleeding of fresh blood on the tissue... @ night I went to SGH A&E, they did abdominal and vaginal scan. Base on scan I'm 5weeks 6days and there is fetal pole. Docotor mention there is no heart beat yet as it still early but he did mention its threaten miscarriage and advised me to continue taking dydrogesterone and to see my gynaecologist on the scheduled date. He did mention if I continue to bleed high chance that I bleed the 'tissue'out. Today when I pee saw blood clots... getting very worried... any mummies experience this??? #advicepls #firsttimemom

It’s always whole meal bread.. biscuit or oat. Any mummies went thru the same experience? Pls share how u got through this pls 🥹#firsttimemom #advicepls
- 2023-04-08How many days after delivery does your breast milk kicks in ? During this period, baby feed FM first ? I'm in the hospital now on my 3rd day, I don't see any milk coming out and the lactation nurse really squeeze the nipples for the massage before latching. She asked me to squeeze real hard to stimulate, I didn't know about this and it seems too late... feeling so sad n lost....
- 2023-04-08FTM here delivering at TMC next month. Is it better to bring a hospital grade electric breast pump or manual breast pump to the hospital? And how to sterilise pump parts after use at TMC? Thank you. #firsttimemom #firstbaby #advicepls
- 2023-04-08Hi mummies can anyone answer whether thomson or mt alvernia cheaper for the total bill? The maternity package not much diff though but i was told by my friend the rough estimation bef delivery at mt alvernia was much lower than its final bill 🤷♀️
- 2023-04-08Panicking now cos I’m sure baby is still breech at 37 weeks despite all efforts to turn her by professionals (masseuse and chiropractor) and my attempts with inversions, pilates, yoga, walking, etc. We even talked to baby (cos that worked for my brother and SIL!). Any hopeful recommendations for me? I’m ok with C section (as long as baby is out and healthy at 40 weeks) but obviously I want to do all I can to prevent this.
If you ended up with C section, how did your birth plan changed?
