- 2023-04-17Hello mummies!
First time mom at 15 weeks, this morning, i fell down on the bus as it jammed break and i hit my right side of my leg, arm, and body on the pole. I am naturally on the bigger size (178cm, 85kg currently) and i do have a little bump but with clothes i just look fat 🥲🥲 also, i do look very young (actually im quite young, 23 this year but ive been married for more than a year now) and have multiple visible tattoos so im afraid to ask for seats and get judged when its crowded and i will just stand. but after this morning, i am a little more worried about my little one in my tummy. i am also very introverted and do not express my opinions well so i dont dare to ask for a seat.
what will you mummies do? please help 🙏🏻🙏🏻#pleasehelp #advicepls #firsttimemom
- 2023-04-17Im a first time mom-to-be and even after reading review etc im still clueless which breast pump to get. Can mommies recommend a good electric breast pump?
1. Normal electric breast pump
2. Wearable (cup) electric breast pump for outdoor/office - preferably the one that is less noise
Ive heard about spectra, baby express, imani, real bubee but still not sure which is the best as all have mixed reviews too

- 2023-04-17I used to start feeling frequent fluttering and bubble popping since the past 1-2 weeks, every few hours, however these two days, the frequency became much lesser, probably only once or twice per day. Should I be concern? It happens after I worked late and didn’t sleep until 5am since I last woke up in morning the day before and no nap in between.

- 2023-04-17Hi mummies! I dont have much appetite still. At this stage I'm supposed to be eating well already, but unfortunately I'm still not picking up on the appetite. But according to gynae checkups baby is growing well. I can only take spoonfuls of rice and depends on dishes what dishes i can take in. Seems like most of it is to my dislike and its quite hard to find something interesting to eat at the moment. Any Mummies here experiencing same situation? What to do? Should i be very worried since I'm not eating much.

- 2023-04-17To all Muslim friends, do kindly note that while the light teal coloured is cheaper, it is not halal. I’ve just enquired with Nestle as the price difference is half of the darker tin ones. This is their reply:
Thank you for contacting Nestle Baby Club.
Nestle Singapore does not distribute NAN OPTIPRO series or any other formulas from the Australia market. While the name may sound similar, the formulation is totally different.
OPTIPRO formulation from Australia is a non-halal recipe that does not contain 2'-FL, 5-MO complex, DHA & ARA.
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you that in Nestle Singapore, we carry NAN OPTIPRO and NAN SUPREMEPRO H.A formulation as our premium range of milk formula. The recipe is Halal certified, sucrose-free, and imported by Nestle Singapore directly from the plant with quality checks and controlled/monitored logistics chain.
NAN OPTIPRO series in Singapore is our advanced formulation with 2'-FL and Immunity Guardians for Immunity Support and Optimized growth. NAN OPTIPRO Stage 3 is suitable for 1 years onwards whereas Stage 4 is for 2 years onwards with no upper age limit.

- 2023-04-18my baby vomits for the first time. made her 90ml of formula milk (sometimes gave her formula only on the first feeding to bed) but she puked halfway.
before that i latched her for about 6 minutes but she seemed fussy due to uncomfortness (maybe positioning when latching).
yall have no idea how many sorries i said to her because...... #momguilt
kept googling and googling and actually have the same answer to what i clicked on. but i am still panicking and can't help but felt bad to my baby because it's the first time she puked out.
i guess i shouldn't have gave her too much knowing that she just latched and i learnt that small feedings is still better than over feeding. i'm still here unsure if my breastmilk is enough for her but she started on different feeding schedule. from 1hr30mins, now to 2-3hr intervals.
i still feel guilty holding her. 😞😔
- 2023-04-18Hello mummies. I went for my 38th week check up today & got to know I am already 4cm dilated. Chose to go back home instead.

Its my second baby but because the first one was also induced, I am really not sure what to expect 😅
- 2023-04-18Any mummies willing to share their recent hospital bill after the delivery? Esp the one gv birth this year and last year for reference🫣
This is what I have from friends but 2 years back, unsure why KKH private is still considered very cheap compare to TMC and Mt A 🫨
KKH private single ward : 3k cash
Mt Alvernia single bedded : 8k cash
Thomson single bedded : 10k cash
I can understand that gynae fee might be different but the gap is quite huge 😐
- 2023-04-18I am at 37 weeks and my down there is feeling really really uncomfortable. How to vheck if im already dilating? I can't keep track of my contractions.
- 2023-04-18Hi mommies~ my baby is 6 mths old fully breast feed previously. Recently I have been trying to intro formula milk to him. But seems he doesn't like the taste of it. We tried for about a week before he sleep at night. At first he's just dislike the taste but ok to drink with a mixture of breast milk. But he has been throwing up this 2 days continuously after drinking. Any suggestions of what can I do? Or any formulas to intro? frisolac gold stage 2 is the brand that we tried for a week.

- 2023-04-19My bbg have been in infant care as soon as she turned 2 months. The teachers are trained and they are caring. It is such a life saver really. From 7-7pm, i can do so many things (most exciting is sleep!). After i fetch her, ill shower and feed , rock her to sleep. It makes me enjoy motherhood a little more, slows down time for me to be a girl rather than a mom always.
But of course make sure u arrange for a school tour to go in and see whats the schedule like and more importantly the teachers. Are they caring
Sunflower preschool at clementi. If you search on google, they only have one google star review (3 years ago) and its not that good… but since its near to me, i took a leap of faith. Honestly for me, i m glad i did. Find one near to u

- 2023-04-21Hi all,
I’m currently 6 weeks 4 days and took my blood test yesterday. My HCG and Progesterone came back in the normal range (HCG- 72,000mIU/mL, and Progesterone at 20ng/mL).
I am a little concerned as my progesterone levels at 4 weeks was at 41ng/mL and was wondering if such a drastic drop is normal and if this happened to anyone as well?
I had a miscarriage prior so just a little worried that levels continue to drop, but at the same time I also read that progesterone levels fluctuates.
Would appreciate any advice!
- 2023-04-21I accidentally shouted at my 6 months old baby. The look on his face when he was startled and about to cry immediately made me snap out of it and carried him so close to me, i applogized repeatedly while i crying. I'm having a bad day and i'm exhausted, drained. I didn't attend to him cause i rather he cry than i accidentally hurt or shout at him. The moment i attented to him i shouted at him 3x. It broke me inside. I will never forgive myself. I just needed to share here and hope to get comfort and be told that you also have done the same thing😔😔😔😔😔
- 2023-04-21Hi Mummies,
My 1 month old baby boy cries murder when we bathe him.
I have tried sponge bath, normal bath, singing to him while bathing but nothing works. He literally screams every time I bathe him. Currently we bathe him in a bath tub on the floor as the tub is without stand and we use lukewarm water.
Want to know the experience of other mums here on how to manage this kind of situation ?
Would have a bath tub with stand be better?
Looking for tips and advise 🙏

- 2023-04-21hi mummies i need your advise please
i am 36w 3d now
i felt tightening of my belly on and off today, went away for awhile after lying down but came back on and off.
tracking and still can feel baby's movements few times every hour
is this considered as contractions or labouring?
thank you in advanced
- 2023-04-21I started experiencing braxton hicks contractions this week. Maybe because I started harvesting colostrum which was recommended by Doctor to start from Week 36. Have been getting 2-3ml a day and I try to stop after 15-20mins.
I’m just wondering if it is normal to experience contractions everyday. Not that it is painful but can be a little annoying when I’m walking. #advicepls #firstmom #firstbaby
- 2023-04-21Does 10 weeks old baby has sleep regression? My baby suddenly doesn’t want to sleep and only sleep in short naps. Before this she slept really well, sometimes up to 6 hours at night. But now she kept waking up every 1-2 hours

- 2023-04-21Hi mamas! Pls recommend me some breastfeeding supplements. I know many of you consume prenatal ones but I don’t want to travel all the way to my gynae just to get them. Would prefer brands that I can get over the counter like Watsons/ guardian or unity.

- 2023-04-21For the past 5-6 days, LO has suddenly been waking up crying after very short naps (less than 30 minutes) or almost right after putting her down. She still sleeps well at night though. We figured she just wants to be carried since she's been taking her usual 100ml feeds every three hours or so.
For the past 24 hours though, LO suddenly drinks only 50-60ml per feed on average. This time, she either sleeps (way) past her usual feeding time, or still has those super-short naps and wake up crying.
Is this typical of a growth spurt? Or is this something to worry about?
- 2023-04-21My one month old fifteen days newborn have not poop for three days. He cries uncontrollably after feeding and at some point if time. His face will turn red and tummy seems abit hard. He’s on formula milk 90ml every 3 hours. Some friends mentioned that i should increase his feeding, but i am afraid if it will overfeed him. #firstmom #firstbaby
- 2023-04-21Just needed somewhere to rant.
I seriously don’t feel very balanced and I’m very mad about it tbh. If I voice out, it’s another quarrel again. I don’t get it why when my husband is sick, he becomes handicapped. I took care of the kid myself, took care of his meals and prep his medicine while all he does is sleep, eat and play games.
When he got covid, he knows how terrible it was and he was given 3 days leave. LO and I got covid FROM him the next few days, while im thankful that my LO was still doing well despite being positive, me on the other hand felt damn terrible. I asked him to take leave and he told me CANNOT. When I ask him why is it always like that, his response: “Okay then you ownselve ask my company lor. You tell them you want me take leave.” You see cb anot these type of people.
Every single time I’m sick, this fucking asshole don’t offer to do anything. Even if I request him to help me to do certain things, he will do half half. He don’t automatically help me wash my pump parts/milk bottle or take care of the kid until I asked him to. Now even when I want to die already I will do it myself because if I ask him do I more qigek. I feel more angry when i know you won’t take leave to take care of LO so I don’t bother asking but at the very least, when I asked you to help out to do something at home after working hours, DONT DO HALF HALF. If I ask him to take leave to take care of LO, it’s always “SHOP NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE” but when he is sick, miracle you know, shop DONT NEED people.
I cannot find my mil cause she’s working full time, I don’t have helper, my own parents live at the other end of Singapore and have their own kids to take care of. Im super introverted so I dont have many friends and all my friends live far away from me. So even when I’m half dead, I have to drag my ass to take care of my LO.
I am really damn pekchek and don’t understand how can a fucking guy be so selfish.
Thanks for reading my rant. I am still on fire.
- 2023-04-22What is the normal blood sugar range for pregnant moms?
I took my blood glucose this morning right after waking up it was 5.2mmol, and 5.7mmol after i came out from shower and preparing to go out. It was a 30-40min time gap. Idk what to do. What should i do to keep it at 5.0mmol? I heard more than this considering as gdm..

- 2023-04-22Hi ladies, wanted to get a second opinion as I don’t have a fixed gynae. Did any of your gynaes tell you if it’s ok to take vitamin c (like those 1000mg effervescent tablets)?
Before pregnancy, I always took it and found it to be quite useful in preventing sickness. I’m not so sure now that I’m 7-8 weeks pregnant 😅
Anyone knows? Trying to build up my immunity :p
- 2023-04-22Hi mommies. I am 18w now and I understand its best to sleep on the left side but I am originally not a side sleeper and sleeping the whole night on 1 side is really uncomfortable for me. - 2023-04-22I just went for my 17 weeks scan and my baby is weighing 222g. My gynae was saying that the average weight of baby at 17 weeks should be around 150-200g! He didn’t caution me about anything and said it’s okay but I’m feeling a bit nervous 😬 Does anyone knows if it’s considered overweight?
