Should a 5.5 month old baby have a fixed schedule?

I've been reading that a lot of parents have fixed milk, naps & sleeping schedule for their babies everyday. But for our 5.5mo we just feed when he's hungry & put him to nap/sleep when he's tired. We don't have a fixed schedule. Is it important for baby to have a schedule?

Not really a fixed schedule, but the baby should have established some kind of routine on his own. e.g. he'll drink milk every 3-4hours, nap n times a day with night sleep happening around x time, and wake up at x time.

A rough schedule would be good but of course this should loosely be guided by baby’s cues. One way to gain better control of the daily schedule is to wake baby up in the morning at roughly the same time everyday.

My LO turning 6 months in a week time. Her naps & milk feed are more or less ard the same time everytime.

not really, following baby’s cues is also a good way to manage.
