Baby movement active at night

I read some articles saying there should be 10 movements in 12hrs(9am - 9pm) or atleast baby moves every hour. But how do you count baby kicks when they’re mostly active at night ? And lesser movement during the day. Is there some way i need to force baby to move or just let it be ? #firsttimemom #firstbaby

just let it be, if force then it doesn’t count. actually it’s 10 movements in 2hours. have you tried in the day too? mine is active in the day. how many weeks are you at?

18 weeks might not be too accurate as you may not feel the movements fully yet. As you progress baby’s movement will be more obvious. They do suggest to only start counting fetal movement starting 26-28 weeks as it will be only obvious enough by then. My baby is also only super active at night. In the day I can’t feel much because I’m usually walking around or moving about so it’s less obvious. And when you’re walking, the rocking movement does make baby more sleepy. I think can feel more when lying down. :)
