- 2022-08-22Hello, my newborn was infected by covid at 6 weeks old and recovered with mild symptoms (no fever above 38). - 2022-08-22Hi ladies,
I am currently 10 weeks pregnant.
Last scan was on 7th week and I saw the heart beat.
After that the next scan is in 11th week but I am just worried because till date I haven’t got any morning sickness or nausea.
I just get tired little bit sometimes where I feel like sleeping and I have tender breasts and I can see blue veins on my breasts as well.
Is this normal?
I keep looking in mirror everyday to see if there are any changes in me but can’t really tell if I am getting fat or is it the bump. So I constantly keep thinking if the baby is growing properly and worried if this is normal?
Any advise from anybody who has been in similar shoes?

- 2022-08-22Last appt was at 39w1d & was only 1cm dilated. Dr has asked me to come in at 40w to be induced 🥲
Really hope my contractions will kick in soon because I really don't want to go through induction. Most ladies says its more painful vs natural contractions. I've tried walking for >2hours, curb walking, climb stairs, squats etc buttt nothing.
Was also wondering if anybody actually push back their induction date to later in order to let the body go through labour naturally?
Aniways, hopefully all goes well for me!

- 2022-08-23As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I immediately applied stretch mark cream on my tummy. But the previous brand I was using was very greasy and had a strong smell which I didn't like. Good thing I stumbled upon Mama's Choice after seeing so many reviews on Shopee so I decided to give it a try. I like that it had a very light fragrance and absorbed quickly on the skin. It was like I never applied it at all! Also, it's quite affordable compared to other brands. I used it religiously until after I gave birth and still didn't get any stretch marks! It really worked on me so I'm happy to recommend this to all my mum-to-be friends. <3

- 2022-08-23I'm always looking for products that will level up my hair game. It's a plus if the hair product can manage excessive hair shedding. Luckily, this natural fruity-smelling, anti-hair loss Mama's Choice Treatment Shampoo popped on my screen and read all about the fantastic reviews. Tried it and since then, I'm a fan of this hair care formula that nourishes the scalp and stimulates hair growth. It leaves my hair feeling very soft too. Definitely my current fave!
- 2022-08-23My baby was 2 months old and would sometimes get dry skin, I saw this face cream online and decided to give it a try since the price point was good and it came from a reputable brand that my other mummy friends swear by. After two days of applying it after every bathtime, my baby's skin improved and got smoother and softer. I'm still using this to date because it's super effective at moisturising my little one's skin. The scent is also amazing, like a baby!
- 2022-08-23Being a bit of a germophobe, it was important to me I use a disinfectant that won't be harsh on my little girl. I've been using this for 2 months now and I'm really satisfied with it because it's versatile and gentle. As advertised, it's good for cuts, hands, surfaces, and other stuff in my daughter's room. Many of my mummy friends also vouch for this disinfectant and bring it everywhere (which was actually how I learned about it). It's also a plus that this product is proudly made in Singapore! I'm happy to support a local product that is of great quality :)

- 2022-08-23Hi mummies, my LO is 6 months and just took his 6in1 and hepb jab this morning. He was very active and cheerful, right after his afternoon nap. He woke up fussy and crying non stop. He got no fever but only want to cling on to his mother and sleep. He have been sleeping so much, if we disturb him he will cry more. Anyone got similar experienced?

- 2022-08-23Hi mummies, my baby is at the 3rd percentile weight & currently weighs 1.9kg at 35 weeks. Scheduled to be induced at 37 weeks. Been eating ALOT ever since in the hopes to gain baby weight.
Any mummies who had similar experiences? Care to share how can I boost my baby weight & how heavy was your baby at birth?
Needing moral support as I am really anxious & worried! Thank you! 💕
- 2022-08-23Hi mummies, I am really anxious. I’ve been trying to eat as much as I can to pump up baby’s weight.
I’m scheduled to be induced by weeks 37 too due to low birth weight. Gynae doesn’t recommend to even go beyond 38 weeks as the risks for further complications might arise.
Any mummies has gone through similar experiences of induction at 37 weeks due low birth weight? Care to share how was your experiences & baby’s weight at birth?
In need of some assurances & moral support! 💕 Thank you! 🙏🏽 #firstbaby

- 2022-08-24Hi there! Anyone here has recommendations for side jobs (non delivery) ? Can be work from home or short hours job.
My husband is the only one working full time and at times he has to do grab/food panda to cover some of his own expenses and his monthly pay will be in my account for bill payments , groceries , child needs and savings.
We're grateful that it's enough but since we're welcoming another baby soon in addition to our family of 3 , we think that we wanna save up more and hubby to work extra for his work expenses. On some days , I do pack him some light lunch (wraps , sandwiches, quesadillas) to save money. On some days, I just can't bring myself to wake-up and make lunch for him 😅
So if anyone has recommendations for part time jobs , do let me know in the comments.
Ps: Hubby is not doing grab/panda anymore as the fee & distance sometimes just doesn't make sense. 🤣 He can be sending somewhere far and they'll only pay him $10 for something that is probably worth much more.

I want to use Medisave for my pre-delivery medical expenses but the nurse asks me to settle the bills each time I ask after my appointment.
Does it mean that I pay first and get reimbursement later after delivery? Some posts share that I will need to bring all the receipts.
How is the money ($900) reimbursed? Via check or bank account? I don’t seem to find any information online.#advicepls #firstbaby

- 2022-08-24My mil is really a piece of shit. She shows favoritism twards her daughter's children over mine. But my baby boy is basically being treated like a part time grandson. Me and husb staying with her temporarily, so cant avoid her at all. She will do anything, and i mean ANYTHING for my sil's kids. Even when she is unwell or having knee pain, she can rush to meet them at their school to send them home (they are staying at another place). She take bus with them and send them home and comes home afterwards. But when i pangsai or doing my chores and my baby crying uncontrollably, she will most of the time, ignore and stay in her room. She will only come and help soothe my baby when she feels like it. There is no sense of urgency to check on baby at all. If she happens to be there when baby is crying then she will attend to him. Otherwise she will just ignore.
And just now i had an outburst. As my baby was crying to the extent of shouting crying kind of cry. HE WAS SITTING IN HIS HIGH CHAIR INFRONT OF HER ROOM (she close her door by the way & our rooms are opposite of each other) meanwhile i was at the kitchen preparing his bath, i was rushing as fuck. When i came back to him, i saw he was trying to stand in his high chair. AND STILL SHE DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO OPEN THE DOOR TO CHECK ON HIM.. what kind of grandmother is this? But when it comes to her favorite grandkids, wahhhhh, she will ask me to look after them for awhile (age 10 & 12 btw) when she was having urgent zoom call. But MY BABY?? SHE JUST IGNORE AND ACT LIKE AS IF SHE WAS DEAF. Idk what she was doing in her room when my baby was crying just now, but even if you wear earpiece while watching videos, you CERTAINLY would have heard him. Because i do. This attitude is unjustified. This is too much. So obviously, i was so upset that i said loudly NOBODY IS RELIABLE IN THIS HOUSE, MY BABY CRYING OUTSIDE YOUR ROOM ALSO YOU CAN IGNORE, USELESS.. Then just now i was sharing with my mother about this, talking otp with her. Then suddenly i heard her door slammed shut. Could it be she was eavesdropping to my convo? Because what i rant to my mother was really raw. If she heard it, she will obviously feel mad about it, i think?
Ughh... it's not that i care about her feelings.. but i dont want her to play the victim and complain to my husband and paint the picture like i am the bad guy that said hurtful things about her...
Sorry for the long post. Just needed place to rant and vent.

- 2022-08-25I have been searching high and low for a “clean” deodorant with no other added artificial ingredients (ie. Aluminium) at an affordable price, and I found it! This is the by far the best in terms of the product, application and value. Plus point, it’s safe for all moms.
- 2022-08-25My first pregnancy on 13 june i had gone through a miscarriage of a first trimester baby, it was said to be a blighted ovum because of chromosomal abnormalities. Uterus was cleared naturally and no need for d&c.
Bled for 2 weeks only then went back to normal and healthy but not until 24 july i started to have inconsistent bleeding from light flow to heavy flow with large clots (when i use walk to much or workout). So both me n husband tot its the first period after miscarriage maybe thats why its different, then i kept bleeding continuously until 24 aug which has been a month when i decided to just go see doctor cos since two weeks before i started “feeling pregnant” with the symptoms one by one appearing and I recognised it well. But it wasnt so bad no vomit or anything just sensitive nose, fatigue hate to cook, hate my own cooking, hungry but no appetite, eat in large portions… just too many pregnancy signs while actually loosing so much blood kinda doesn’t sit right with me…
So i tested using home kit and twice it showed that i am pregnant. So 24 aug i finally went to the doc at poly and took another test and yes, positive. But with all the bleeding, doc was panicked and referred me to kkh emergency right away… took an ambulance there it was a fun trip… was on iv drip for an hr then doc did the vaginal scan… while scanning, doc suddenly call for my husband to come and see the screen… so scary we didn’t know what the doc was gonna say! To my surprise, she was showing a baby formed at 7weeks and the heart was beating! Dear god! I felt like crying and puking at the same time!
So to conclude… even doc said it was a rare case of threatened abortion, with the bleeding so much for more than a month but the baby in the sac is not affected, just surrounding tissue bleeding… amazing. And its also a rare case that i conceive very quickly after going through a miscarriage… this baby was said to be conceived on 20th july…
so now 7 weeks pregnant although its a threatened abortion, doc gave hormone balancing pill cos she suspected its got ti do with the hormones since i got preg to fast after miscarriage… so far after taking the hormone pills, no more pelvic and back pain eversince. Pray for us dear readers! Thank you!

- 2022-08-25Being a bit of a germophobe, it was important to me I use a disinfectant that won't be harsh on my little girl. Many of my mummy friends also vouch for this disinfectant and bring it everywhere (which was actually how I learned about it). It's also a plus that this product is proudly made in Singapore! Would like to know what you have opted for and why - as my hubs and I are on the fence about engaging either option after we are done with the 28 days confinement with nanny.
Option 1: engage full time helper to help with caring for baby and house chores
Option 2: send to infant care and engage part time helper to come by twice a week (Wed, Sat)

- 2022-08-25Hello mummies, what baby monitors do you recommend ?#firstbaby #advicepls #firstmom
- 2022-08-25Hi all. My MIL is a nice person. She's very caring and helps us out with our newborn whenever we need. However, she has 1001 to- do things which I may not agree.
1. She has this idea of 'sweat it out'. So she always applies hot oil like yu yee (lots of it) and switch off the fan. It is the biggest issue everytime she comes over. Ours is a ceiling fan and we switch it at speed 3, which is mid speed. As the fastest is speed 6. She wants us to switch it off, swaddled our child and apply oil. We even put a blanket on our child. He is know close to 3 months old.
Question: is it really good to sweat it out? I mean, our son is with us all the time. So if we switch off the fan, we will sweat too. 😓 it's so frustrating. By the end of the day, our child looks so greasy🥺 she even wants us to let our child wears long sleeve whenever we go out and no fan to be placed on his stroller. Come on, sg is soo hot. Someone enlightens me please this theory of sweat it out. Even during my confinement, I was told to close the windows and no fan. I couldn't take it and shower at night.
2. She wants to introduce nestum to our child soon. Which I strongly oppose. She said we can put half a scoop to his formula feeding before bedtime. This is for him to sleep well?
3. She gave water to my son when he's 2 weeks old. Which again I oppose but I tried to be understanding. Later, I couldn't take it and told her to stop.
4. She likes to ask why my child sometimes is light skin whereas other time he is dark skin? What?
That's all moms. Please calm me down.

- 2022-08-26My gynae is very nice and said he would put me on HL if my company is alright with it. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant but with the nature of my job (I'm a Preschool Teacher) it is very physically, emotionally and mentally draining. My body feels like it is being drained of energy everyday. I don't get much sleep at night because of leg cramps and back pains and my working hours are long and demanding.
I have shared with other colleagues about wanting to apply for HL in Sept but have been given mixed reactions. One colleague in particular mentioned she has been pregnant before and pushed through till her delivery date. Sometimes I feel is it I am just being weak? Or should I listen to my body and request for early HL (almost 2 months before EDD)?

Let me know if you know any printing stores.

- 2022-08-27Helloooo experienced mamas, FTM here. My baby is 8mo, approximately 8~8.2KG. She’s wearing Huggies Naturemade size M tape and occasionally Merries size M pants (Samples).. So I’m finishing all my diapers soon and I can’t decide what to buy 😓
It’s very hard to change her now so I’m considering pants for day time and tape for night. Should I stock up the pants or the tape ones? 😭
