- 2024-07-29Hi, I am 33 weeks + 4 days and I’m experiencing severe itching on my tummy, and it’s not just on the stretchmarks.
I went for my check up at 32 weeks and dr prescribed some pills and moisturiser cream which hasn’t worked because the itch has spread to below my boobline, my boobs and also arms.
Now the texture kinda looks like hives. I have tried mustela stretchmark cream, aloe vera gel, calamine lotion and applying snake brand powder but all only gave temporary relief.
Pls suggest something!!😭 i’m going out of my mind trying to be mindful not too scratch my tummy too violently
- 2024-07-29My baby started sitting and she can fall back and hit her head.. recently started to pull to stand also. But I saw that it’s actually not safe? I’ve been more cautious, not even any soft toy or pillows but I know my friends put pillows and soft toys..
Want to know what do other fellow mummies do? Thanks!

- 2024-07-29Hi moms, is it normal to not pee so much in this week? I heard pregnant ladies will keep going back to the toilet. Or this occurs much further away like something around 20 weeks?
- 2024-07-29hi FTM here. how did yall select the preschool to enrol your child in? and also, realised that govt sch don't do sch tour during weekdays where all the kids & teachers are there. however for pte school, they do allow sch tour on weekdays during the day times for us to observe and visit the sch. how did u chose govt sch to be of your choice since cant visit the sch prior to registration? TIA!
- 2024-07-29i always had a feeling of anxiety, like i don't want to miss any sign or any chance to know everything about my baby. so i was scrolling and i found a really good article here... https://sg.theasianparent.com/down-syndrome-test
It is said in the article, we can test for Down Syndrome from 9 to 15 weeks.
The earlier we do this, the better because DS is more common in older women. If we are over 35, having a test at 11-14 weeks is essential. Or if we’re under 35, having your test at 9-12 weeks should be fine.
If you have had a previous baby with DS or have a family history, it may be best to have the test ASAP.
Doctor may recommend this test if there is concern about the baby’s development during pregnancy. They may also order the test if:
- Mother is age 35 or older
- has had one or more previous miscarriages
- has diabetes, thyroid disease, or other medical conditions
- Partner has a history of genetic disorders in his family

- 2024-07-29Please don't laugh at my question... Moms, is there anyone like me? I’m 11 weeks pregnant, but my breasts are not growing/enlarging like other moms'. Is this normal?
I’m worried it might affect breastfeeding and that my milk supply might be low because my breasts are not developing as they should.

- 2024-07-29Moms, I just found out that excess folic acid during pregnancy is very dangerous for the baby. They say it can cause autism???? This is my first time being pregnant and i am really scared of everything that could potentially harm my baby.
My doctor prescribed me folic acid vitamins... I’m really scared, it's such a gamble. If I don't take it, I’m afraid of deficiency, and if I take it every day, I’m afraid of excess. But what are the signs of excess folic acid, moms? Does anyone know?
I hope we all stay healthy. #seriousquestion
- 2024-07-29My child is over two years old but still can’t speak. He likes to babble but I don’t understand what he’s saying. My child also hasn’t really learned to express what he wants. I’ve often talked to him and taught him words for things and animal names, but sometimes he can only say one word. I’m really worried... It makes me sad when he’s compared to others who are younger but can talk well. Maybe I’m not talking to him enough... I’m the type who gets confused about what to talk about, and I’m not good at storytelling... but I keep trying. Moms, has anyone experienced this? What’s the solution? #speechdelay

- 2024-07-29I choose to masturbate while watching adult films because my husband cannot satisfy me emotionally....
Every time I invite him to have sex, he falls asleep immediately. When I ask him why or what the reason is, he has no answer. My husband doesn’t have any illnesses, nor is he cheating since he always comes home from work on time....
If I say he’s tired, I don’t know how tired he is. When asked, he just says whether he wants it or not. I’ve tried buying lingerie and taking care of my body, but my husband is indifferent. He says, 'What’s the point of all that?' 😊 It feels hurtful, doesn’t it?
- 2024-07-29Hi mummies
My baby daughter is 1 year old.
She is still very reliant on her milk powder and her feedings did not decrease (still 8 times daily) although we have reduced her milk intake from 150ml to 120ml due to her overweightness.
I was wondering if babies drink milk to what age? What does totally weaning off milk means ? If baby don't need to drink milk when she grows up, what age would it roughly be?
The milk powder can last until she turns 3 years old. If so, do babies stop drinking milk altogether and eat solids like us?
I am a first time mom, so I don't know when it's the right age baby can wean off milk (or not?)#firstmom #advice

I’m 29 weeks now and I feel so heavy and breathless all the time. My company require us to go back 4 days a week and the transport to and fro work is taking a toll esp when baby is pressing very low.

- 2024-07-30hello fellow mummies! i just realized that i’ve been consuming excessive folic acid for the past 1 month (when i’m 7w-11w) - i had obimin + folic acid. i only realized now it’s way above the requirement and excessive folic acid may do more harm too.. so am wondering if there’s any concern about this 😭
first time mum here hence feeling a little bit more anxious 🥲
- 2024-07-30I prefer to stay anonymous...
what is wrong with me... I don't feel a strong sense of love for my child, unlike other mothers. I really feel just normal, even tending not to love. I've never really liked children.
But I am still responsible, I breastfeed, take care of everything that is needed. I just don't love. No one knows this, including my husband. But I think he might have noticed, because he once asked, "Why don't you ever post photos of our child (on socials)? Unlike other mothers. You do like posting (on socials) a lot..." I just gave him a casual answer, I said I didn't want to invite negative comments, but actually, it's because I don't feel it's special.
Is it wrong? But I do take care of him.
- 2024-07-30I'm feeling sad, confused, angry, and anxious all at once...
My husband's attitude has changed drastically since I gave birth. He really hates our son... He always says that our child brings bad luck, and he doesn't want to take care of him. According to my husband, because of giving birth to our child, he almost lost me. He loves me very much...
The childbirth process was really life and death. I was taken to the ICU because it was only discovered during delivery that I had a serious illness. I still remember hearing him crying out loud at the hospital. Thank God I survived, although it has affected me significantly, and I can't be like before... When our baby was brought to the room, my husband was silent. At first, he was always silent. But since we got home, it has gotten worse... He often yells when our baby cries, "Be quiet! If it weren't for you, my wife wouldn't be like this." Oh.. I don't know how many times we've had big fights. But in the end, he always cries and says he is very scared and traumatized by the thought of almost losing me. But does he have to hate our child... who doesn't understand anything and didn't ask to be born into this world :(
I want to take him to a psychologist, honestly. But he's still so old-fashioned and says he's not crazy. I'm scared, ma'am, just to go to the shop or go out for a bit, I can't bear to see the baby being scolded...
My husband also gets angry and hates my parents and even his own parents who used to say they wanted grandchildren quickly. "If we hadn't listened to them back then, none of this would have happened."
It's like my husband is the one having baby blues, ma'am. I'm so confused about what to do, ma'am, please give me some advice :(

- 2024-07-30Hi Mummies! I recently went for my 20 weeks scan and was told I have an anterior placenta. - 2024-07-30We've been so excited and really can't wait to start getting baby stuff. But I'm also afraid it's too soon to say. I'm 22 weeks now. And I thought I should get it done while I still have the energy and not that big yet. But family members think I should wait at least until a month before due. When do/did you guys start? 😂

- 2024-07-31Hi everyone, I'm going to be a first time mum soon and questions on cleaning baby's bottles come to mind. Hope to get some advice and tips!!
- After washing the baby bottles, where do you store them?
- After using a UV steriliser to sterilise bottles, where do you store them? How long do they stay sterilised?
- Do we have to sterilise bottles just before adding in the milk for baby? Or ok to use bottles that have been sterilised 2-3 days before?
- Any special storage I need to get to store bottles?
Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks so much!!

- 2024-07-31Hi everyone, I'm a first time mom and unsure of how to correctly store the breast milk.
Do you put in milk storage bags individually everytime you finish pumping or accumulate it in a bottle for a day and store them?
Should I store in the fridge or freezer?
Is the breast milk solid once taken out of freezer? and if so, how do I warm it using a bottle warmer?
How do I wash my breast pump?
Should I wash after every use and then sterilise it?
Thank you for your advice. 🌻
- 2024-07-31My little one have always been a bad sleeper but after her 6 months sleep regression is gone from bad to worse. Now we harder get a good night sleep cause she refuses to sleep at night. Her bed time used to be 7-8pm then it became 10pm then 12am and now she is sleeping at 4am every night and we are literally going crazy.
Even tho we try to wake her up by 9am and reduce her naps she still wakes up in the middle of the night super hyper and playing. And it’s not like she is not doing a lot in the day she is very active in the day as well.
We tried letting her last wake window be between 3-4 hrs then put her to bed at 10pm but she will still cry and wakes up by 12-1am and plays till 4am to sleep. On some says she sleeps all the way to 12pm and we can’t even wake her up early as she will get angry and cry.
She is underweight as well and i suspect her poor sleep might be a factor too. Other than her poor night sleep, she is a very happy baby and reaching all her milestones.
But we are not happy, the lack of sleep is driving us insane. Any advice?

- 2024-08-01Hello mummies, my LO is 1 year 8 months old and he is generally not fussy with eating. However, if there’s one thing he doesn’t like and refuses to eat, it’s meat (ie minced pork, chicken etc). He likes vegetables and eats them well. I’m worried he doesn’t get enough protein if he doesn’t eat meat.
Any mummies who went through a similar experience too? Wonder if there’s any advice on how I can help him accept meat better.

- 2024-08-02Hi mummies
My kid is 1 year old and she is in infant care.
Last month her infant care teacher called and told me she was bitten by another kid in the centre. There were bite marks on her arm. I didn't think it was any cause for alarm since kids are kids and they are playful though the teacher shared with me that a teacher was with my child when the incident happened.
Today I received another call from the infant care teacher telling me that my child was bitten again, this time by another kid in the centre. I asked her if the teachers were around to supervise, she said they were and it happened really fast when the kid bit my child when they were waiting to be fed.
I understand teachers were cancelled because busy but I feel that they can be more vigilant and segregate my child.
Should I have a talk with the centre principal to make sure such biting incidents don't happen again or should I just let it go again?
#adviceappreciated

- 2024-08-02Hello fellow parents,
Any advice on how to sleep safely (at night) with a 2 month old baby who can’t be put down? He can only sleep carried upright or chest down on us.
Daytime contact nap is fine but night time is really hard especially when we’re tired. If we put him down he’ll sleep max 40-1 hour. If we hold him he’ll sleep 2-3 hours but that means we’ll have to be awake to hold him.
Thank you for any tips / advice!
- 2024-08-02Hello everyone, I am 28 weeks pregnant currently. Worked in my company for more than 2 years. Recently doctor issued 3 weeks of hospitalisation leave due to some pregnancy complications. Submitted my hospital leave to my employer and my employer decided to terminate my service with the company. Can that even be a valid reason? I read online and it is actually an offence to terminate someone who is pregnant. But my employer said that they will compensate me with 1 month notice of salary without CPF and will cover my 16 weeks of ML. I am also supposed to get my bonus during Aug, but because of this termination they refuse to pay for my bonus. My boss told me to come back only after I give birth and settle down my newborn. I feel that it is very unfair on my end. What should I do?

- 2024-08-03Hi mothers..
Is it normal that after giving birth (my baby currently is 2months old), you’ll easily get rage at certain people when it comes to handling your newborn? It seems like some people don’t respect your decision/gut feelings as a first time mothers. I realised there’s a tension issue going on with my own mother since I gave birth.
Firstly, she announced my child’s birth without my permission to almost everyone including her friends when it’s not necessary.
Secondly, whenever I asked for a tiny favour eg. Change the baby’s diaper, she’ll complain and as tho “lecturing” to my baby why she kept peeing or pooping. I was triggered that she said that to my baby as isn’t good that if your baby keeps pooping or peeing, means she’s healthy?
Lastly, I was informed by the nurse whenever we went for my child’s checkup to have enough rest as a mother and try to get someone to look after the baby for while. So sometimes, when I told my mother if she can look after the baby eg. She’ll complained and said that she was about to rest and sighed. Mind you, she’s not a working mother..
I thought while I’m on maternity leave, I can observe if my mother can really look after my child(she was the one who volunteered to look after my baby). But now, she’s making me having doubts if she is capable to look at my baby.
Does anyone experience like this too? Help:(

- 2024-08-03Hi! My LO is turning 2 months old in a few days. Everyday we do roughly the same routine around same timing (e.g. wake up between 6.30am - 7.15am, naps are between 1.5 - 2 hours, wake windows between 60-90 minutes, sleep between 7.30pm - 9pm). Was wondering if this is normal? Because I'm just following his cues and then adjusting a little bit to make sure he doesn't nap too much / stay awake for too long.
I have been seeing a lot of differing opinions online about routines as some parents seem to actively wake their baby up (while they are still sleeping) at the same exact time every morning.
Thank you for your advice! ☺️
- 2024-08-03Hi mommies! Is there any private scanning here in Singapore that you can recommend? I just want to see how my baby is. I’m currently seeing my OB at Mount Alvernia but I think a scan costs quite much. I would want a private scan where it’s only catered to scanning. I just want to see my baby 😅
