Other than feeding baby during taking off & landing, can i just give pacifier ?
And if baby is crying, can we actually walk to wards the end of the airplane ? The toilet area there to calm baby? (When seat belts can be out)
Should i just let baby sit on my lap or babywear in konny wrap/ergo?

- 2024-01-08Hi mommies, my husband and I, newly married, have differing views on starting a family. While I'm eager to begin the journey of parenthood, he feels unprepared and lacks knowledge about pregnancy hence is opposing the idea to have a child. Therefore, I would like to seek advise from other mommies on whether there are any suitable professional courses out there to educate and get ourselves prepare before trying to conceiving? Thank you in advance #advicepls 🙏🏻

- 2024-01-0810months ago I had c section. Maybe I not rest well during confinement period, my lochia seems last for 2months at that time.
Why I didn't ask my doctor at the time? I did mentioned, but I guess both the doctor and me more focused on the unhealed and infected wound at the time. And my doctor is a famous doctor, usually very busy and rushing.
Seems give birth will really make women become dump. I just realized so many thing.
My friend mentioned after delivery doctor will do pap smear, but my doctor didn't do it for me.
These few month I found menstruation last longer than before pregnant, and sometimes I felt the wound.
I am not sure how is my womb recovery.
I would like to find a good gynaecologist to check on it, and hopefully the doctor is experienced and won't need to rush.
I need your advice, which doctor is better?

- 2024-01-08My LO is probably right in her 4 mo regression, and wakes up screaming no matter from naps or in the middle of the night. It’s impossible to calm her down in the MOTN except by feeding, is it ok to feed? I’ve read online that it creates bad associations and LO will not be able to learn to sleep on their own? I’m trying my best to to not feed her when she wakes up at a timing that she didn’t use to before the regression, but I’m not sure I’m doing the right thing at all! :(

- 2024-01-09Hey mummies..I've been blessed some toys for my kids and I chatted abit with the blesser. After I received the items and thanked her, I thought we will end the conversation. However she says want to have playdate (my kids and hers are almost same age) however I've told her it's hard for me to go out as husband works weekend too that means I have to bring my 2 kids( 1 and 3yo) to meet? She doesn't stay near me either. I told her I can't really go out. Then as our kids almost same age she knows my boy birthday is this month and she ask me what my boy likes she wanna get him a birthday gift. I rejected as I'm not comfortable we only chatted for less than 1 hour? Then she proceeds to ask again says she is getting something and asks if I want to get too for my kids..then says she wanna buy these 2 toys for my kids..I rejected her again but she says treat as cny gift..i rejected her..today she msg me again says her girls got extra for Christmas presents and she wants to give my kids. I appreciate her kind thoughts but I'm really not comfortable with such generous gesture even though we only speak like less than an hour? How do I reject her politely and to stop bugging me? 😅 Kind of annoying. She also knows im going back to workforce this year after my younger one goes to cc and she says will help me to keep a lookout..appreciate it but i don't even know her? Understand she might just want to be friends but I feel weird? Can't keep thinking is she trying to sell me something in future or what? Help pls.
- 2024-01-09My LO is turning 6 months soon. From birth till now, she still wakes up for milk. I tried increasing her milk volume from 130 to 150ml.
Me and hubby can't have proper sleep for almost 6 months already lol.
Is this normal? Should I continue to feed her so she can go back to sleep ?

- 2024-01-09Doc did not say my baby's weight whether it was big or small. All she said was baby is all good and healthy, good position, etc... Everything is good. Does that mean it's an acceptable weight? Or do I need to ask what's baby weight? #firsttimemom #Curious #advicepls #7MonthsPregnant #subsidisepatient #kkhpatient
- 2024-01-09I’m in the middle of 2nd trimester and it just dawned on me that I might have used some pregnancy-unsafe beauty products (contains supposedly unsafe ingredients) in normal amounts, within my usual routine eg chemical sunscreen and moisturisers which contained salicylic acids.. I was sticking to my skincare/make up routines from pre-pregnancy without much thought.
My gynae didn’t warn me specifically about skincare routine (I understand it’s also impossible for them to detail everything), I’m not sure to what extent I should worry about the complications of my ignorance…
Any mommies ever went through the same, used products without knowing that it may be harmful.. did it really affect the baby badly? Are there further checks needed to make sure baby is ok?
Any pregnancy safe products you’ll recommend? #firsttimemom

- 2024-01-09Need some advice... My 5 month old is having problems sleeping at night. He used to sleep 6-8 hour stretches, ever since he was 2 months old.
This started about a week ago. He'd wake up at 2am for milk as usual, then refuse to go back to sleep. Or will cry bloody murder if he falls asleep when i rock and then try to put him down. This can go on all the way until at least 9am. He is also refusing my husband. The rocking must be done by me, otherwise scream nonstop. I'm so tired and my back is breaking omg I'm losing my sanity.
At the same time, he's suddenly having green diarrhoea. At least 4 times a day. Idk what is causing it. Tried giving probiotics daily for a week already. Seems to have improved (lesser/drier), but poop is still green. Not sure if this tummy upset is the thing that's keeping him up at night. He doesn't seem to be in discomfort though. Just want to be carried.
Anyone had similar experiences? Maybe teething, stomache, regression etc. Please share and tell me this is normal and will pass soon. 🥲 Idk how many more sleepless nights I can tahan.

- 2024-01-10Mixed feelings as the gynae of my choice is pro-induction. Baby is on the heavier side, currently at 3.2kg. I was originally looking for vaginal delivery with minimal intervention as much as possible other than epidural. I was told to prepare 8am the day before and the process starts from there. Delivery should commence the same evening, possibly into the night. Anyone with induction experience? How was your process? #firsttimemum

- 2024-01-10Hi! How do guys ask for HL? Cos the first time when I gave birth at sgh, dr name is tan hak koon. Asked for HL but he say it's too early. How many months do you ladies ask for it? I'm currently 5 months pregnant and but feet is killing me but I think it's too early to ask.
I'm just afraid of being rejected. :(
But currently now my dr is a female dr. Had spotting for the first tri but insist to give mc instead of HL.
So I'm fear of asking it even though I really need it.
It's aching day by day.. need to use compression socks. But sometime the compression socks doesn't help
- 2024-01-10Currently we are staying with my husband's grandma while waiting for BTO and his grandma have a helper at home - in which is his aunt who is paying the helper salary. As we move in, she now have to help us to wash clothes n cook for us etc and my husband and I give her extra allowance for that. She is good - can cook, take initiative to do things and always making the house clean.
We have a newborn recently and the main caregiver is myself and my husband. We don't get the helper involved as we think that it's not part of her job scope to begin with and even washing of baby bottles, we do it ourselves.
I am not sure why I'm super paranoid when helper is around my baby - especially when baby cries, the helper immediately rush to carry her. As much as possible I put baby in living room so grandma can see her actually.
I have advice helper to at least monitor the situation first as babies tend to have light sleep and it may just be nightmares and she sometimes would sleep back on her own. By carrying her immediately would disturb baby's sleep. However, she didn't listen and continue doing so. When I want to take back baby, she refused to and say something like "you don't want your mummy is it, why you dont like your mummy" (Makes me speechless zz)
Also, she tends to carry baby (baby is in rocker and whimper a little) when she is half way cooking (shirt will be oily) and she tends to put baby on her chest which irks me actually. I am physically there to pat my baby - not sure why she is so anxious..I know she meant good to maybe help me but I can't help but feel annoyed 😢
When I put baby in bedroom, she will also rush in when baby cries, when I'm trying to calm baby down, she carry baby over and take her to the living room.
- 2024-01-10I am looking for a car seat for newborn infant and be able to use up to age 7 -12 with swivel function.

- 2024-01-11When did you size up your baby’s bottle teat?
My baby is coming to 4 months, using phillips avent. (Not breastfeeding) Still using teat size 1 (0month+). Do i need to size up or can just continue using smaller size teat if baby have no issue and does not fuss when drinking?
My baby has reflux too, and i read that slower flow might help.

My 40 week check up doc said everyth was fine just that they are worried about the increased risk of complications if the baby gets too big. But according to scan, the size of baby is not even big. This is my 3rd pregnancy.. first 2 were normal not induced. Need advice pls..

- 2024-01-12Hi mummies, my freshly pumped breastmilk sat in freezer for roughly half an hour. It remain in an insulated bag during and after i took out from freezer. It’s been in the cold insulated bag for 3hrs now. Can i still put back in freezer?
Reason for this 3hrs gap because left work and attended appointment.
- 2024-01-12Hi all according to my LMP, I am exactly 7 weeks today and I got my 1st vaginal scan. However, there was only a 7mm gestational sac and ultrasound says its 5w4d. I've only had bloating and felt extreme fatigue with a little cramps once in awhile. No nausea/vomiting. Dr asked me to return for a rescan in 1 to 2weeks time. I'm very worried now cos mine is a 28day cycle mostly. Any advice? Do I go back for a scan in 1 week time or should I wait for 2 weeks?#pleasehelp #firsttimemom #advicepls

- 2024-01-13Any tips to prevent or help baby (4months) from crying when in flight? I went to malaysia, which is a 1 1/2 flight, baby slept during take off and sucking pacifier but once the plane is up, baby woke up and started crying non stop and looks very uncomfortable. He cry until mucus from nose all come out.
Tried carrying him, suck pacifier, play with toy, talk to him etc but nothing works. I believe his ears are painful from the air pressure.
I panicked so bad cause the plane is full house and people confirm is cursing me very badly for letting my baby cry and its very noisy. Last choice was almost landing, gave baby milk (not his feeding time) and he stopped crying. However milk feed will only last 10 mins at most so idk what else to do to soothe baby😣
And because we gave him milk not during his feeding time, and the interval is like an hour he spent the next few hours keep puking out milk. Like a lot.
We still have a plane back in 2 days time and im so scared to fly back😭 cause confirm he will cry again and non stop.
Im more scared of people’s judgement and causing inconvenience to them. And i cant always be feeding baby milk during flight.
Any other tips mummies ?
I dont breastfeed or latch.
- 2024-01-13Aside from going to GP what to do when 4 months old suddenly have flu?
Runny nose and sneezing. And is it very harmful for them? Baby can still breathe normally just that got wheezing sound due to the mucus
We’re currently using sterimar nasal spray and nasal aspirator but like not helping.

- 2024-01-13Hello mummies,
I'm currently 4 weeks 5 days and so far I've not had any symptoms except extreme fatigue, bloating, occasional light cramps on the left and right side and sore breasts that have slowly started to go away.. should I be worried? I've officially missed my period. Why haven't I got nausea or lower back pain like other pregnant women? Of course I don't wish the pain upon myself but I haven't gone to my 1st ultra sound yet as it's too early and it's hard to believe that there's a tiny baby in my womb. Is my baby ok?! 😪#pleasehelp #firsttimemom #advicemommies
- 2024-01-13Hello Mummies who do BLW,
I’m preparing for my baby’s journey soon! What are some essentials items like feeding tools and food preparation tools to get? Or any that you would recommend?
This is on my mind currently -
- Feeding set (bowl, plate, spoon, fork)
- Silicon bib
- Additional set of cutting board, knife, scissors only for baby food
Thank you for sharing! :)

- 2024-01-13Hello mommies! HELP!!!!! haha
My little one is currently 2 months old.
Ever since LO's birth, I have been having anxiety(?) not sure if that's a right way to describe. When my confinement nanny was around, my LO shared a room with her while I sleep with my partner in our MBR - I kept hearing baby's cries (phantom cries) but he is actually sound asleep. My nanny told me to relax myself and try to sleep in more.
Now that baby is 8wks, i still have this problem.
When I'm washing bottles/ hubby drying his hair... I will tend to pause everything and check on LO.
At night, due to colic, my LO will squirm and make little noises - due to that, I can't seem to relax and sleep properly as I will stay awake to make sure that he is okay. This resulted in poor sleep and i'm very sleep deprived as I'm the one doing night feeds :(
Is any mommies facing the same problem or if any kind soul can advice on what I should do? Thanks alot in advance!! #firsttimemom
