When to ask for HL? ( didn't get for the first time)

Hi! How do guys ask for HL? Cos the first time when I gave birth at sgh, dr name is tan hak koon. Asked for HL but he say it's too early. How many months do you ladies ask for it? I'm currently 5 months pregnant and but feet is killing me but I think it's too early to ask. I'm just afraid of being rejected. :( But currently now my dr is a female dr. Had spotting for the first tri but insist to give mc instead of HL. So I'm fear of asking it even though I really need it. It's aching day by day.. need to use compression socks. But sometime the compression socks doesn't help
