- 2024-02-20Hello! I'm 5w5d pregnant and got a few work and social events coming up. Just wondering if anyone has thought of creative excuses to use to avoid eating raw food and drinking alcohol in these settings. Colleagues and friends know I take sashimi and drink alcohol pre-pregnancy. Thanks in advance!
- 2024-02-20Update: 1 month later, got my NIPT result and is low risk. Felt like the hospital should have excluded FTS and proceed with NIPT to save preggy mom the anxiety since its 99% accuracy.
Hoping good news too to those facing the same situation.
Asking if anyone have a high risk result for FTS and low risk for NIPT (Harmony test) considering age of 35 and above. Im currently still waiting for NIPT result but cant help worrying after knowing my FTS for Trisomy 21 is high risk. #
- 2024-02-20Hi mummies, my 5 months old have started to prefer sleeping on his tummy. Yes his neck is strong he can lift up and love tummy time.
However, when he sleep in tummy position, he always always like to rub his face against the mattress, and sometimes burry his face down on the mattress, but sometimes also he tilt his head to the side. He wont stop moving when sleeping now, either he move his body, or keep rubbing his face. But he’s asleep. Ive tried changing his posiiton, be it on his sides or back, but he would always end up on his tummy.
And im a paranoid mum, due to this i never had a good sleep altho he slept thru the night. I keep waking up every few minutes to check on him. To change his head position etc. To the point that today i had to take mc cause my head was spinning so badly i couldnt even walk stably due to the lack of sleep and maybe multiple sudden wake ups.
Any mummy going through this too? And how do you manage it ?
He’s not swaddled(he hates it now), firm mattress, only his pacifier on the bed, white noise, very dim light, sometimes we use the beansprout pillow. What else should i do
I miss the time when he used to sleep soo peacefully without moving much. I dont wish to co sleep or contact nap as i dont feel its safe. And yes he’s sleeping in cot with cot against our bed because of this.
- 2024-02-20Did my first ultrasound and found a large complex cyst of about 6cm. Dont know when it was there or i developed only after im pregnant. The baby in my womb has no heartbeat im not sure is it cause of the cysts.
Doc ask me to remove the baby first and follow up the after a month on cysts as it might disappear. Anyone encountered such issue before? Having 2 fear now...the loss of my baby heartbeat and the cysts issue. Im so afraid of surgery.
- 2024-02-20just curious, what's a day's total yield for mummies? and for those that started working, was the a drop in yield and how much? 1 more month before starting work, prepping mentally.

- 2024-02-20Whether it's before, during or after your pregnancy, this nurturing blend of essential nutrients will help keep you healthy and energized. It also delivers the good stuff to your precious baby.
- 2024-02-20When you’re pregnant, your nutritional needs are greater than ever before because you’re providing vital nutrition for more than just yourself.
- 2024-02-20I recently gave birth to premature baby and im exclusiveluly pumping for that reason. The Lactation consultant taught me to only pump 15mins for each breast, but I always feel my breast is not yet empty (still feel lumpy). Sometimes its only 2 hrs after pumping, it already painful and lumpy alr. Can I check what mums with oversupply does in this situation? I was told pumping more can simulate more milk but sometimes the pain is unbearable
- 2024-02-21Feeling so defeated by my breastfeeding journey
I have a low supply and have been trying many ways to build up my supply as I have always dream of bf my baby till 1yo.
Baby unfortunately does not latch at all. I powerpump twice a day almost every day, and pumping 8 to 9 times a day. However when my husband went back to work, I could only pump 6 to 7 times. I have also been ordering meals that supposedly boost lactation, spamming water, taking lecithin, munching on lactation cookies etc. My flange size has also been measured by an LC, and I'm using a hospital grade pump. The only thing is there's a 5hr gap between my pump sessions in motn for me to rest. With all these, I still yield about 50ml on average.
Recently my supply seems to be decreasing despite having no change in routines. Should I be giving up 😔

- 2024-02-21Hello. For mummies who had any of the above, when someone asks you how many child do you have, do you include angel baby too?
e.g Say its your second child but had any of the above for the first one, would you say only one child?
Genuinely curious as I have been thinking about this question.
- 2024-02-21Hey moms! I’m having anxiety about take public transport by myself with my newborn. What stroller is the easiest to go up and down the bus? Also my baby was born small so she can’t use baby carrier yet till she’s 3-3.5kg.
- 2024-02-21My baby is 4.8kg at 12w. Previously was fully latching baby but due to period my supply have dropped half and baby went on nursing strike. Now i have change to bottle feeding and feeding baby 90ml each for 7 feeds. Baby is only 630ml per day however recommended amt is 720ml. Baby cant finish bottle when i try to increase to 100ml per feed. Is it normal? Am i underfeeding baby? #adviceplease
- 2024-02-21I’m at week 5 now. Anyone has gynae recommendation? Thinking of sticking with the same gynae for all my appointments. Alternatively, also in a dilemma if I should go polyclinic and get referral letter to save money 😅#adviceplease #firsttimemom
- 2024-02-21hi mummies! has anyone noticed their LO suddenly showing signs/patterns of spasm?
my LO is currently 7mo, we’re currently travelling and visiting our relatives in the PH and i noticed LO just started spasming— his spasms were very short, occurs in like 2 series every time it happens and so far it’s already happened twice. (to describe the spasm, LO kind of does the action of when someone tickles the side of your neck and you scrunch your shoulders in? and he does it twice per spasm?)
i know that we have to immediately see the PD back in sg when we come back but just really wanna know if any parents have gone through this? and also share what your GP/PD said or any like treatments or anything at all.
im feeling super worried even though everyone tells me not to be as it doesnt help with the situation but i really cant help it. #adviceplease #firsttimemom #help
- 2024-02-21I am now at my 5th week of pregnancy. During my first few weeks, i often feel cramps. But recently i dont feel anything at all. Is this normal?
- 2024-02-21Hi mummies! I'm currently 18 days post postpartum, did emergency c-sec due to not dilating fast enough . For the past week, I've been noticing some blood coming from the urethra area . As I thought lochia/bleeding will generally be from the vagina , so I'm Not sure if it's normal ? I'm not in pain & there's no blood clot ... #adviceplease #firsttimemom
- 2024-02-21Whenever I ask my husband to look after my child or interact more with her he told me I was the one who wanted to have children so I need to be responsible to take care.he will do his part that was agreed upon. I feel hopeless how can someone be so heartless and say this kind of thing like the child is only mine.i wonder why then the child has to take the father's surname. Maybe I should change to my surname.
Maybe I should consider divorce.
- 2024-02-21Hello, new mum here. I was pumping milk on my breasts. 15 min on each side for 2 rounds. On my last round, the last nipple suddenly bleeds after I was done.
Wanted to know if this is normal? Anyone have experienced this before? Is it because the pumping is a little strong or is there something I should be worried about?
Need some advice pls.
- 2024-02-21Hi mummies, I'm a bit desperate and need some suggestions. My son is almost 13 months and still needs to be carried to sleep. I and my husband have to take turns to do this and it is really taking a toll on us - on our backs. Plus we need to stand while doing this (we are using baby carrier/sling) . I wouldn't mind it but the backache is getting worse and he is growing. Hence, I am worried how long this will continue and affect our back pain. On top of that, my son really cries and fight sleep even though he is so sleepy which makes it more difficult because we feel so guilty for even putting him to sleep. Night time especially after work and when we are all tired, is the most frustrating time to go through this. He only has 1 nap a day (noon) and he sleeps only after 10pm. I tried to make him fall asleep on his own on the bed pretending to be asleep, sitting down and rocking him on the sofa but it doesn't work at all. How and when can this pattern change? What should I do? Any suggestions please except for the crying out method because honestly I think that option is not for me, I don't think I can handle that. Even when he cries while im carrying him is making me feel bad, so crying out method will be a complete failure for me. Did anyone go through this and what did you do to change this. TIA.

- 2024-02-21May I ask how do you all choose which antenatal class to go for? For eg, there are courses provided by hosp vs confinement agency vs Hegen - would you all say their teaching content are more or less similar and just go with the one that fits our budget the most? Any other deciding factors?
Thanks In advance!

- 2024-02-21I am 22 days postpartum and am struggling with low supply. I pump around 30 ml a pump and do it every 2/3 hours. Daily, I yield slightly more than 300ml.
I even invited a lactation consultant over, who taught me pumping techniques to increase milk supply….i also tried lactation cookies, green papaya fish soup, and am currently taking fenugreek and domperidone.
Do you know if milk supply is expected to increase after 1 month? My last resort is to try the almond milk from 2nutguys
- 2024-02-21Hi all, has the search bar been working well for you? I thought it's my phone, so I got my husb to download the app and try to find something on the search bar, but nothing shows up. We typed very common search words or words I've used before that yielded lots of results, but still showing "No results". Is it the app or is something wrong with our phones? 😕

- 2024-02-22is it normal to not have bleeding implantation? i have a miscarriage previously, now pregnant #firstmom
- 2024-02-22Has anyone successfully tried to re-lactate? I read on google and watched tiktok that it’s possible to re-lactate even after it has dried out.
My baby is currently 7mo and i last pump when he was about 4 months. Being a sahm can make me think of a lot of things. I suddenly miss producing for my baby and tried to-relactate. My mistake was that i never keep any breastmilk in any case he has a fever or whatnot. Now that he’s in his teething phase, i have to prepare for the worst because i heard they can have high fever when growing teeth.
I wouldn’t say my attempt is successful but so far there has been a positive sign. I remember mine has completely dried out because i squeezed as hard as i could and nothing came out. Eversince the attempt on re-lactating, i did spot some, what i think is colostrum because it’s yellowy liquid. But so far the process is very slow because the liquid is still around my nipple (thats how little it is). After pumping there will be colostrum on my nipple, and i tried to get my baby to have a taste but sucks he doesn’t want to latch anymore.
And i tried to pump every 2-3hours but sometimes i only managed to pump 3x a day and that reminded me why i stopped in the first place haha because my baby is in his climbing phase. So whenever i put him on the floor to play independently while i tried to pump for 20mins, he would try to climb on places that he shouldn’t be. Even when i tried to pump when he’s asleep, it’s tough because contact nap is the only way for him to have sufficient sleep, or else he would wake up not long after and then crawl around the bed, fearing that i wouldn’t catch him in time if he ever makes to the edge.
Anyway, just wondering if there are any successful attempts and how long does it take to finally have a full supply? #Relactation #advicepls
- 2024-02-22Im a SAHM and my son is 7mo 15 days and he’s a FOMO baby since newborn. In fact I’m thankful that his FOMO traits are what makes him an intelligent baby but it’s been pretty hard to make him sleep lately. His bedtime is usually 10:30pm and i’ve been trying to push his bedtime earlier to 9:30pm and now trying to get to 8:30pm. I believe 7:30pm-8:30pm is the ideal bedtime for that age, yes?
On good days he would sleep at 9pm-9:30pm. Most of the time he would fight & I made sure to try to make it by 10:30pm. Usually i would start to make him sleep 1hour prior because that’s how much he would fight. I’ll always try to have 2-3hour wake window prior his bedtime.
However lately he’s been getting on my nerves. He’s always fighting so much i could only get him to sleep successfully by 11:45pm because he’s already tired by then after using his energy to fight. My method is usually rocking him, when he’s like 90% asleep then i would climb on my bed and let him sleep on top of me until he’s deep in his sleep then i would roll him over to his cot as it is just next to my bed. Yes the lights are off, only my night light is on. He’s pretty darn strong, he would arch his back and kick himself off of me when i was swinging. He’ll cry and scream.
Sometimes when he was already sleeping on top of me he would suddenly push himself up, the more i tried to pin him down the more he uses his strength. The pressure from his hands pushing himself up would usually hurt my chest. He also uses his leg to push up and my skin, my csec scar will hurt from all the dragging. Imagine being tired and having to go through all that almost every night, that’s what makes me so frustrated all the time. I can’t just let him be whenever he pushes himself up from my body because he will look around and find something to play and then be all smiles at me.
Sometimes when i thought he’s already asleep while on top of me, then me & my husband thought that it’s already a good time to finally have our time to watch tv, the tv brightness or a tiny amount of sound can wake him up despite i already use the blanket to shield the brightness from him. And then he’s all reset, as if my effort in making him sleep earlier on never happened, he’s all energetic and wants to play.
Before you ask what my husband has done to contribute, my son wouldn’t even want to sleep whenever he made an attempt. He has done the same method as what i usually do but it never worked. But the moment i take my son he would automatically suck his fingers to soothe himself. Then the fighting starts. Before bedtime my husband would play with him, get his energy used up. But i guess it doesn’t work either.
It’s really tiring and frustrating. I just want him to have a proper sleeping schedule. And i hate the fact that he can hear a pin drop, all me and my husband wanted was to just have our time, as simple as watching tv together but it’s so damn hard.
Did i made a mistake somewhere? Or is this just a phase? I know he’s in his teething phase but i dont think it’s due to teething because he only started crying when i rock him. But the moment i stopped and just carry him, he will babble and smile and whatnot.
I’ve applied those cream that makes the baby sleep, i’ve applied soothing oil for the teething. No difference.

- 2024-02-22hi mommies. I’m currently 17 turning 18 and my baby is 12 weeks old. the baby was not planned and we found out the worst way possible. I only found out when we broke up hence it’s so complicated. our families let us be the one making the decision. he ( my current partner) didn’t say what he felt but it was so obvious he didn’t want the child nor get back together. I myself couldn’t make the decision till we heard the baby’s heartbeat. But now I’m having my doubts. I’ve never felt more insecure and alone before. This whole relationship feels so fake and disgusting. He would not put in effort to take me out on dates or even going out to eat with my family. He wouldn’t even answer a video call from me. What else wouldn’t he do when the child comes. Knowing that he didn’t even want the child, my biggest fear is him neglecting our child. He is so stingy with money to the point where I’m paying for everything. Every meal. I can’t even pull myself up to go work because of the fatigueness I’m feeling everyday. He is much older and jobless. Together for close to a year and we never once sleep at my house. His plan for the future is “I’m gonna keep $200 every month for the baby” and I can think about is , your expected salary is $2000 and you’re only keeping $200 for our child? I don’t feel the love nor trust in this relationship. I really don’t know what else to do. I know sooner or later he’ll definitely have someone else. Would I be a terrible person if I chose to abort.
I love kids but I feel like this is not the right guy for me and my baby. Everyday I’ve been crying like shit. Crying every minute possible. He is not the slightest bit happy bout signing ROM. He acts as if it’s a burden to him. And everyday I feel like I’m a burden to him. pls advice I feel so lost and alone. #newmom #1sttimemom
- 2024-02-22Hi Mummies, any advice please? My husband and I are the main caregiver for our LO who is currently around 3 month old.
My mom will be taking care of LO as we will be away for around 10 days.. which we really appreciate her help. However I’m very worried about LO’s quality of sleep as my mom snores (super loud and will snore suddenly, they will be in the same room).. recently I went back to my mom’s place and I sleep in the same room with my mom, I didn’t have good quality sleep as I’m always awaken by the loud / sudden snores..
Anyone faces such issue as well that partner / caregiver snores super loud - how do you handle the situation and does it really affects LO’s sleep?
I have not yet tell my mom about this as I doesn’t want to hurt her feelings, etc.. I’m intending to buy the sleep strips for her (but don’t know if it works?) or should I get infant earplugs (not sure if there is any)..

- 2024-02-22I'm going back to work soon and unfortunately my job does not allow me to pump so frequently and on time. I used to pump 2 hourly and has gradually pulled the duration longer. now pumping 4 hourly yielding about 1.1L in total/day. I can't seem to find answers on google so I'm asking for help here. anybody with similar situation? I plan to drag out to pump 6 hourly instead but wish to keep supply at least 1L/day. how do I adjust? increase duration from 4 to 5 hourly then 6 hourly gradually? I'm worried supply will drop as my body thought I don't need so much milk. TIA.

- 2024-02-23Hi all I’m currently 35w. Used to be a deep sleeper and can sleep for long hours but recently as I’m getting more and more pregnant, noticed that I’m unable to sleep for long 😅 And I tend to wake up easier too. Slight noises and movements will wake me up. Compared to last time I’m almost dead asleep kind.

- 2024-02-23Hello ladies, I am 9 weeks pregnant and so far I've done one ultrasound when I was ard 6 weeks. Every thing seems fine and I can't wait for the next ultrasound scheduled next week.
Anyway, would like to check if anyone already has baby bump at their 1st trim. I read up online and some said its mostly caused by bloatedness.
For me, I feel my tummy has that tight stretch feeling and my boobs size has increased abt 10cm from my pre pregnancy measurement (last measured in end dec). I can see my tummy is super bloated like as if I've swallowed one whole turkey.
I did abdominoplasty last year Jan hence i feel the tummy tightness.
Would love to see a ladies here sharing their baby bump pics =)
