Feeling down and alone

Id like to know if there are other ways to cope with depression? Im starting to have difficulty in breathing and palpitations. Most of the time my partner tries helping me but doesnt know how.

Hi im battling with depression,anxiety and panic disorder too since two yrs ago till now..I am not on anti depressants because i have phobia of all the side effects of medicine.I am very very “KIASI” (chinese means scared to die) All your symptoms i have it too and perhaps more worse than yours .During pregnancy this year i try my very best to overcome by doing some self acupuncture points massage to help me calm down.and i say prayers too when it get bad but at times i just cannot battle it and have to let it pas through. As for my palpitations and breathless i get a medical check up throughly before pointing to depression amd anxiety because i want to make sure doctors dont keep saying ahhhh its due to my anxiety!! They like to do that at times without proper investigation! I think if you cant control it is best for you to seek professional help asap. Depression generally happens because of suppressed emotions or too much stress. You need to figure out what is the root cause and address it. If you aren't able to do it then a therapist is the person to help you out. In the mean time, to manage it you should excercise regularly, meet your friends and family. Also taking up some creative activity helps a lot. Something like pottery or pursue any hobby you have.

You sound like you might be having panic attacks. The best way is to take deep breaths and count up till 10 while doing so. But also please visit the doctor.

There might be the reasons from your past resulting in such consequences which needs to be cured and counselled.
