- 2024-02-12Is it true that only private doctors will grant 2 weeks HL prior to your edd? And if youre taking the subsidised route, they wont give you 2 weeks HL even if you request for it?
- 2024-02-12My next appointment will only be in Week 34/35, planning to ask gynae for HL but I doubt they’ll give…..anyone knows if possible to get wfh memo. My whole body has been aching so bad & I don’t think I can tahan back and forth journey to office with the crowd. Sigh. #firsttimemom

I am currently on a 24-hour glucose sensor to monitor my sugar level, BUT my sugar level keeps plunging to below the limit of 3.9. - 2024-02-12hello parents, i’ll be travelling with my 7mo this friday and im super overwhelmed about everything 😖
im mostly worried about these things:
1. im exclusively pumping and bottle-feeding LO, the airport limits all liquid to 100ml— how do i prepare FM if LO is hungry? can i even top up warm water if we’re waiting by the gate?
2. is it better to purchase baby food/snacks in the airport or can/should i pack ready-to-eat meals instead?
3. we also have a midnight flight :’) any tips to prevent baby from waking up in the middle of the flight?
if there’s anything else i should know while travelling with LO, it would be very appreciated!

- 2024-02-12This week, during our music lesson, children learned the song " I put my scarf on my head" and engage in using props ( scarves ) to enhance their sensory experiences and creativity.
Through this activity, children moved their bodies to the rhythm of the song and imitate actions related to putting scarf on different body parts.
They had lots of fun and enjoyed themselves dancing to the song. If you have any scarves at home, you can also play this song and let your child dance and sing along at home! ☺️

- 2024-02-13The government has no idea what it means to help mothers ease into their pregnancy. There are so many initiatives that can be done to help expecting mothers.
1) For every train, reserve one cabin for expecting mothers. People just no longer look up to check their surroundings nor have the heart to give up their seats for you.
2) Provide subsidy for mothers to take grab/gojek especially for those in the first and last trimester when you're either so nauseous or so big.
3) Have pregnancy centres near the neighbourhood where mothers can go for prenatal massages or seek help/advice regarding their pregnancy/post-partum.
4) Maybe consider lengthening our maternity leave. We go through pregnancy for 40 weeks only to get 16 weeks of leave and this period is not even a break, it's for us to assimilate to our new roles as mothers. It's a job away from office if you think about it.
5) I wish there was a pool for us. The public pools are fine but it would be nice to have a dedicated pool where I don't feel watched by the public, with my belly.
I feel bitter at times during this pregnancy thinking about this. I want to have more than one kid but Singapore really does not make it easy. Not to mention how people don't even give up their seats on the train. I am in my third trimester and I still have to fight for a seat. It does feel like every man for himself here.

- 2024-02-13Please kindly share more information about this. My baby girl is 3 months and 11 days and she has a clear situation of blocked nose.
I've tried applying saline solution/use a nasal aspirator and went to the PD which gave a medication to add into her milk which honestly I don't see the effect of her nose clearing up at all.
Its getting very worrying when she squirms a lot and walk up bursting into tears in the night when she is trying to sleep.
Any ode
- 2024-02-13One of the stretch marks cream I had first tried. Texture is not sticky and easy use and apply. The adsorption is not so bad too.

- 2024-02-14Hi everyone, currently 38w and just finished packing my hospital bag... some people have advised to pack snacks (going for natural delivery) and to bring along breast pump...
Qn is... Will I even have time to snack? Also, heard that first day milk supply will not be much, how to pump? I'm wondering if I'd need to bring along the milk bottles, bottle soaps etc to keep it all clean during the hospital stay...
Separately, has anyone stayed in Mt A recently? Have they changed the sofa for dads to something more comfortable and should we bring along blanket for daddy? Please advise... #help #advice #hospitalbag #baby #mummy
- 2024-02-14Hi & congratulations to all our pregnant ladies !
This is my 1st pregnancy aft almost 1yr of trying. With help of ovulation induction, I got pregnant, thou I do get regular menses.
My pregnancy came as a shock for me. I am blessed 5wks pregnant. One night I had really bad stomach pain. Pinchin & cramps all over my abdomen & I still had abt 1wk left for next menses cycle to begin.
Out of fear I deicided to do pregnancy test with zero hope as I am use to seein only negative. My miracle baby show up as faint positive one week before my next cycle.
Couldn't believe went to Dr to confirm & he said it showing early pregnancy & I am pregnant.
However don't get happy coz it has show up too soon, anything can happen.
Now, I have missed my menses by 2days & showing more evident pregnancy positive in my hcg strip.
But oddly, I am feelin very bad pain on & off.
I can walk endure for sure, but it's painful. Pain scale slightly higher then to my regular period cramps.
Apart frm sharing I would like to know if anyone else is facing this kinda pain ?
Dr say to look out for sign of ectopic pregnancy but seem like high likely not.
Anyone ? Such pain ?

Thank you in advance 🙏🏼
- 2024-02-16I'm 24 weeks pregnancy now and this is my first pregnancy. I had my ultrasound screening, doctor said everything is normal and blood flow is okay but my baby bone size is at the smaller side. I had my NIPT, all in low risk. CMV tested negative. I was told to eat more protein and healthy fats. I have started to eat more since 2nd trimester and I have gained 4kg. My husband and I are not small size. Doctor said it might be genetic and I need close follow up if anything happens to the baby and might need preterm delivery.
I am wondering if any mummies out there are having or had gone through the same problem as me. Any tips/advice that can make my baby grow bigger?
- 2024-02-16Hi mummies, what you will do when mentally and physically tired in motherhood?
Sometimes i feel fully drained. Just dont want to do anything.
- 2024-02-16Is it sleep regression? LO currently 3.5 MO. For the past few weeks she slept at around 930pm after drinking close to 120ml eBM and then slept till next day around 11am ish (wake for milk again at 2am and 6am - quite fixed). However today she fights sleep (no matter how we pat her/coax her), refused milk, and only managed to sleep at 1130pm. Moreover her naps are getting shorter - only slept for 30 mins max, sometimes only 15mins and always wake up crying.

- 2024-02-16hello fellow mums, I'm currently 10 weeks first trimester and my stomach is expanding. - 2024-02-17Hi! FTM here... Need some advice on whether or not to buy car seat, and if so what type...
I'm super close to my due date already and still not sure if I should get infant car seat as a I heard bb outgrows it fast. We don't have our own car, so I'm not sure if getting those "grow with your child" car seats is practical. That said, understand we need car seat to transport around in phv/ cars. Just wondering what are your experiences... or would renting a car seat be more practical?
Heard some people mention they carry baby in carrier which we have, but not sure if safe for newborn. Especially first trip back home from hospital...
Please advise thank you!
- 2024-02-17My baby now drinking 3 oz milk and she is already 45 days big. After feed the formula milk, the baby sleep and will wake up crying after 1-1.5 hours. Can anyone can help to explain on this?
- 2024-02-17Hi all, any idea is it normal to have bleed inside nostril during pregnancy?
- 2024-02-17Hi fellow mummies, as per above.
Which choices will you go for once maternity leaves ends. Is it true that babies will get sick very often in infant care? And then defeats the purpose of placing them in infant care as we need to continuously take leave to care for them at home

- 2024-02-17Hi mummies, I am a FTM here and going to have my baby deliver on the coming Monday. Do I actually have to bring my own FM to the hospital ? Or the hospital actually provide the normal range that I could select from? Planning on BF/mix but supply doesn’t seem to be coming. Thanks for the advice in advance. :)
- 2024-02-17Any recommendations for nb clothing detergent?
- 2024-02-17Hi! May I ask
1. When should we start engaging and book a confinement nanny?
I got a recommendation from a gf who just gave birth recently…but instead of hiring the nanny privately, I prefer to engage her through agency still, cos want to have a back up plan/ replacement if we have to replace the first nanny during confinement due to covid or any other reasons.
2. If hire through agency (confinement angels in this case), am I able to choose a particular nanny?
Thanks! Will be grateful for any advice:)
- 2024-02-17Tried to set some ground rules during this festive season by requesting my MIL (and her relatives) not to anyhow give food/snacks to the LO. Caught them still doing it and even trying to hide and feed discretely. Even to the point that I got called being over protective and too rigid.
How else can I enforce my boundaries over my LO? I already got my husband to play the bad cop by calling them out when they get caught doing it, but it spoils the mood because they will just show a black face after that. I know they are not bad people and my husband really enjoys family bonding time. What else can I do? It’s so tiring having to keep a watchful eye while trying to enjoy the festivities. 🫠
- 2024-02-17Hi mommies, I’ve been having diarrhoea on & off lately and it’s abit uncomfortable. Does anyone experience the same in their 3rd trimester?

- 2024-02-17hi all I’m a first time mom, my mother and mother in law both told me to take enfamama to provide more nutrition for the fetus(11 weeks). It’s my first time taking and we bought quite a few can. After awhile of drinking it I’m feeling extremely nauseous and the taste is still stuck in my throat. Is this normal? Any other mom experiencing it? Is my body rejecting the enfamama? ( side info: I didn’t not experience any nausea thruout 11 weeks of my pregnancy) #adviceplease #help
- 2024-02-17Hey Mummies, I'm currently 14 weeks and experiencing itching skin all over. The feeling is like ants crawling, no rashes. Sometimes it affects my sleep. Has anyone of you experienced this? I read that it can be a pregnancy-induced liver condition and I'm very worried it will affect my baby.
- 2024-02-17Hi Mummies, who encountered spotting at 12 weeks? Is that normal? It happened only once in a day afterwhich its stopped. Who is with me? #panicmommy #stayingpositive
