NUH first antenatal appointment
Hello, I have my first NUH subsidised antenatal appointment next week. I should be about 7 weeks then. How long does the first appointment take? Mine is scheduled at 10.25am, what are the chances that it will end by 2pm?
Usually an hour before your appointment they will ask you to do mobile registration, when you are arriving to the clinic just press on “i have arrived”, would be good to download the oneNUHs app. The counter staff will call you and do a registration part for first visit. Then they will ask you to proceed with taking your blood pressure, height&weight and also submit urine sample. After seeing the doctor, they will likely queue you up in the room for a bedside scan to see how far along you are. Then they will discuss further on what you need to do for next visits etc.
Read moreIt depends on the crowd. My #1 when I was at NUH pretty long. Appt can be early but I waited for about an hr. So usually ill go to the room and ask the nurse how many ahead of me and if can be speed up as it exceed my appt time.
Follow up question from another FTM- how extensively/ what do they check? I’ll be at NUH for my first appt too😬 nervous
