- 2024-07-15Notice my 1 mth plus old baby has a dent spot in the back of his head. He is eating and sleeping well. Is this normal?
- 2024-07-15this is the 2nd time the IFC teacher feedback to us that our LO is not drinking his milk properly in school. previously no issues in school and we did not change his milk or make any adjustment to his feeding. We even change the milk teat to medium flow few days ago. Just now, he drank 20ml for 2 feeding times at 3h interval. Afterwards he drank the full 120ml. So I don't know what is the issue and feeling a little lost and down that my LO is not having a proper milk intake twice.
Please advise.
- 2024-07-15My husband wants to start a new job in my third trimester, one month before my EDD. (Pay cut of 10%, no pay leave to be used instead of paternity leave).
We quarrelled today because he feels that I am not supportive while I feel unsupported.
This is so difficult……anyone has any advice?
We talked about it before but it’s not getting any better seriously. It’s transiting to anger now.
- 2024-07-15Hi. Im 36 weeks pregnant and was trying out the epi no pump. When I removed the pump i saw this thick discharge thing. Is it mucus plug? Or just thick discharge?

- 2024-07-15I have missed my period for 2 days now and I'm starting to have sore breasts and back pain. I checked and it's a negative pregnancy test. I might check again in days to come but I'm eager to know, is this one of the early pregnancy symptoms or just late period?
- 2024-07-15Hello all! :) My LO is turning 6 months in a few weeks time & am currently researching on how to start solids with him.
He is currently in infant care, so I was wondering how should we start solids if he's in infant care most of day time(est 8:30am -5:30pm), when we fetch him back, he's quite sleepy already ... 🤔
Is it possible to give early in the morning ?

- 2024-07-15Hi, my 10yo keeps peeing and pooping in his pants. No matter where we are. He says he doesn't feel the poop at all and most times would deny pooping in his pants until we've checked n confirmed because he says he doesn't feel like pooping. He has been doing this off and on for years. And he goes to the bathroom alot. Before we leave the house, he'd go to pee. As soon as get out and get in the car, he wants to pee again. It's extremely exhausting having to clean up after him especially bcs he doesn't notice or doesn't care enough, he would sit on the furnitures with soiled pants then I'd have to remove and wash everything and spring clean the entire house just to be sure.
Anyone with similar experience maybe can share how you tackle the issue? 😩
- 2024-07-15This baby was an accident so I didn’t knew I was pregnant. Do you think the aroma oil (lavender) will harm the baby?
- 2024-07-16Im worried it can harm the baby. This is my first pregnancy. Out of sudden they found this and im getting worried abt this. Im just worried if it may grow. - 2024-07-16May I know how to select the right size for postpartum? I'm usually a small build person (below 50kg in beginning of 3rd trimester), but right now tummy is big and in dilemma if I should go for M-L or L-XL after delivery. Will M-L be tight or it will be alright and stretchable?
- 2024-07-16Hi mummies, may i know what do u serve to your baby for dinner? My baby is currently 10 months and goes to the infant care. - 2024-07-16Hi. Any recommendation? So far using huggies and mamy poko but at the side got leakage. Any tips in preventing this? Baby is 6 weeks and almost 5kg.
- 2024-07-16you won't be going very fast, but you'll definitely have a lot of fun and something of a workout
- 2024-07-16Just curious, anybody started tummy time for your baby?
- 2024-07-16Hi mommies, need your advice.
Can anyone send me the list which needs to be prepared for the hospital bag and when?
- 2024-07-161. Friends or family vaping within the vicinity of the baby (< 1m away)
2. Not returning the baby to the mum when baby starts crying
3. Passing the baby on to another person without asking the mum if she is okay with it first
4. Grandparent keeps asking the baby to watch tv together (tho baby’s eyesight probably not developed yet at 2m+)
5. Telling us to give excess BM to feed another person’s kid (not even relative)
I am so tired from dealing with the above. I have brought up #1-4 as boundaries which I set and communicated to my husband repeatedly. But it’s still happening. Am I too sensitive or unreasonable?

- 2024-07-17Hello! My baby is almost 6 weeks and he is gaining weight steadily. We are bottle feeding breast milk and formula.
I understand that newborns usually feed every 2-3 hours, and my baby was like that up till around 4 weeks. But now my baby has been drinking about 60-90ml every 1.5-2 hours (total in a day varies between 700-900ml).
I'm guessing this might indicate that he needs more milk during each feed to be able to rest for longer stretches in between feeds, but he seems to be unable to drink more than 90ml each feed and would either fall asleep at the end of the feed or reject the bottle (and stomach is sometimes bloated).
Wondering if anyone is experiencing / has experienced the same with their little one and how'd you manage? Do I move towards extending the time between feeds? How should I do so?
Thank you in advance! 🙏
- 2024-07-17Hi Mummies, I booked my trip next month without knowing I’m about 2-3 weeks pregnant. Would like to know if anyone has the same experience before, what to take note? My doctor told me I can still go but to follow up with her before my trip. #firsttimemom #travelfirsttrimester #travel
- 2024-07-18Hi mummy, I have been experience light spotting on off since I got to know i'm pregnant and still does have it on daily basis. I'm not sure if baby gonna grow well ornot sigh I'm still in my early stage and I have previous miscarriages ): My HCG double up but it was in lower range below 100 so I had V scan but gynae couldn't see anything. My next appt will be next week, can't wait to know the outcome. Does anyone know if by next week I should be able to see a sac and fetus? does anyone goes thru spotting but have a healthy pregnancy?

- 2024-07-18My one month old baby recently went for a head xray scan. Bought baby for a check for a peace of mind, was not expecting a xray scan. But thankfully, xray result was normal. Was then refer to the head specialist for follow up and find out from the specialist that the xray scan was not neccessary. Feeling really guilty that i agreed to the scan and expose my baby to radiation. Specialist said one time exposure is still fine. But i recall the xray was taken 3 times from different angle. In this case , was this a one time or 3 times exposure? Any mummies had their babies went through head xray scans and are ur babies fine? Was really worry and guilty. My baby is only 1 month old

- 2024-07-18Hi mummies, need some advise and help!! My baby is turning 4 months in a few days and she also recently mastered rolling over on her tummy but unable to roll back yet.
She goes to sleep being swaddled but nowadays strong enough to struggle out and able to roll over during her sleep. What I realise is her face is always down when she roll over making her struggle to breathe and she would make noises. I’m just afraid she rolls over at night and sleep on her face down on the bed and i don’t know cos i’m also asleep. What should i do?
If i swaddle her, harder for her to roll but if she roll it’s dangerous. If i don’t swaddle her, easier for her to roll and she will keep rolling over when sleeping. What are your advises? 🥲

- 2024-07-18Hello Everyone
I am 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
As i told earlier that i have been suffering from very bad nausea and now the symptoms changed and i also vomit once or twice a week and have giddy.
I went to see my Gynae she prescribed me Diclectin for nausea. After taking the medicine my condition was very much improved but now my medicine is finished and on Monday i am having exams for my Degree. Now i am very stress without the medicine how i am going to give my exams.
Is there any alternative way to help me with my nausea?
My next gynae appt is on 13th August and before that i have a Fetal scan appt on 1st August. Just curious to know that on the 1st August i will be able to know the baby gender or not!
Plz help me🙏.#advice #pregnancy
- 2024-07-18Hello mummies.
Im at my week 9 now turning 10 soon and lately i dont have stomach cramps or sharp pain anymore. Is it normal? I always had mild stomach cramps and sharp pain sometimes before but now it completely stop. Morning sickness also not so frequent as before.. Worried for my baby🥹 #firsttimemom #firstmom #pregnancy
- 2024-07-18Hi mummies! I’m in week 16 and while I’ve gained some energy back, unfortunately the nausea and indigestion has been getting worse 😞 My gynae says it’s normal and has only prescribed me diclectin, which helps a little. Just wondering, for those who’ve experienced nausea throughout the entire pregnancy, does it really only go away after you deliver? How do you cope with it, especially since it’s for 9 full months and not just the first trimester? It’s just been so hard to live normally/enjoy my pregnancy when I’m constantly feeling nauseous 😞
- 2024-07-18Hi! Currently in 2nd tri and have been throwing up more due to slow digestion/indigestion, which makes me nauseous also. Was prescribed Gastric pills (omeprazol) by KKH and they help a lot but was advised to also just take when necessary although I have found it helps if I take every day. Does anyone else face the same thing, and is it ok to take the gastric pills everyday? Also wondering if any mummies also take probiotic pills to help with digestion? Thx
- 2024-07-18just walked past this year's NDP venue setup & realised i totally missed applying for the tickets this year... any organiser still giving out NDP tickets?
- 2024-07-18Dear Mums-to-be / Mummys, I'm currently in my second trimester and every visits to the hospital, my gynae will ask if I have any questions. Apart from food intake / exercises which I know the answers, I don't know what am I supposed to ask at this stage (i don't know what i don't know) ☹️
- 2024-07-18Hi mummies, when are you intending to request to wfh?
I’m at 27 weeks and I’ve a low placenta. These days it feels so heavy to walk and some days it feels like baby is resting really low. I also have to carry my laptop to and fro work everyday and i feel so breathless just from the transport to and fro home and office 😭😭
But I do know some gynae are super strict with their HL/letters. Intending to speak to my gynae soon at my 3rd trimester check.
- 2024-07-18My 7.5 mo bbg is only 6.3kg. She has dropped from previous 10th percentile to 3rd. She hates drinking milk and will only finish 70-90ml at once and i will have to spilt her 120-150ml milk into two feeds. She is not really a big fan of solids too. On average she is only drinking 400-600ml per day with one solid meal. Is this normal?
She is very active crawling and standing now so she is reaching her milestones just fine just her weight always worries me. #firsttimemom

- 2024-07-19Hi! FTM here. Can anyone share how much water to give 8 month old baby who is fully formula fed?
As for weaning, what types of meal/food to give? I am quite stressed out as I am clueless how to prepare weaning food for baby. Does it take long to prepare?
I am currently working full time, so on weekdays, I only have dinner time to let baby try weaning food. Will that be sufficient? I am afraid that I have delayed baby’s weaning journey. He is 8 months now and hardly try any variety of food 😭

- 2024-07-19So my 9 month old recovered from a week of high fever (was hospitalised).. His appetite went from willing to try and eat every texture (prior to being sick) to spitting everything out. We started with puree at 6 months old and eventually did BLW.. but now.. all he wants is milk and worse, sometimes he doesn't even want any food I cooked (can even be porridge which doesnt even require chewing).
Im very worried actually.
Any mothers and their bubs went through the same? If yes.. how do I overcome this?

- 2024-07-20Hi mummies who had gone through multiple pregnancies, I am currently week9 and my bump is already very obvious as compared to my first pregnancy. It looks as if I am in my 4/5th month. Is it common to show so early for sub pregnancies? TIA
- 2024-07-20Hi, I hope all mummies here are doing good and at our best state of health. May our pregnancy journey goes smoothly. May our baby grow steadily and healthy. 🥰
I'm actually having a bit of anxiety waiting for one appointment to next. Pretty much no morning sickness, sore boobies etc. Just normal twitching pain here and there at boobies and tummy area. I'm 14 weeks 4 days today. Appointment is next Thursday.
- 2024-07-20I have so many questions wondering if the baby inside is alright? Is he/she developing well? Are the foods I’m taking good enough? I always google the food before I eat them. I’m so scared I’ll lose this baby. This is my first pregnancy and I want everything to go smoothly. I’m so anxious, I’m so worried. The last ultrasound I had of this baby was at 6 weeks. Dr mentioned our next appointment will be 4 weeks later (at 10 weeks) at Mount Alvernia. I feel that it’s so late… At the same time, I know the Dr wants this to be at that specific week so we can do more tests (NIPT, FTS). Am I overthinking this? Should I just go for another ultrasound? Just to see how my baby is? So far I have no symptoms, just brown discharge that occured once and pain on my right side (kidney area). Alot of my colleagues have been telling me the pain on the side of the stomach is normal. I’ve received so many assurances but I’m still so scared. Idk why. 😭 Help.
Also, any of you are following up at Mount Alvernia? Or have followed up there before? And which Dr? Is there any good Dr you want to recommend? I’m currently seeing Dr Jacqueline Jung and I think she’s friendly and experienced in minor invasive surgeries. Anyone who thinks otherwise?
