Hi, do you pump breastmilk during your hospital stay after giving birth?

Not for me coz the Lactation Consultant advises not to pump at such early stage, and encourage latching instead. She said newborn doesn’t drink so much, pumping will produce a lot and baby might not be able to finish drinking/latching and may cause engorgement. She encourage to express with hand instead if needed to. In the end, baby was direct latch all the way. Used to hand express the excess breastmilk instead.

If you delivery in kkh. They will ask you to latch. Is good that you bring if you planning to breastfeed. 😂 I regretted, I should bring!

Yes, cause it was engorge like a rock. Painful and it keeps leaking... baby only come in every 3 hours for feed
