- 2017-07-03Hi. Just checking my kids at my first skool fernvale branch were not given milk at nursery level (3-4 years) and cutting milk also this sept at playgroup level (18months to 30 months). Is it the norm at other my first skool branch and or other schools? My mother in law was quite worried for my son in playgroup as he is still too young to cut off milk, and what if he does not take much solid food during lunch. Tea break usually only bread, cereal etc but what if they don't eat well too. There are no milk as alternative. Will they be very hungry till 6-7pm.

1. I love my job which give me some flexibility as I recently change department and do not need to work late. But I need to take over some tasks which need 6 months to settle down. I have 3 kids, 8 years, 4 years and 16 months old toddler. My youngest one going to childcare next year. I have a helper and my mum to help me until my youngest one in school.
2. My Brother is going to be daddy soon in December and my mum need to help to take care new born.
3. My mum is on difficult situation as my Brother stay in Batam and I am in Singapore. I need a job to shoulder the family. My Husband is debt and he has his own business problems and really no mood to takecare family. I am the main contributor to the family. I have some saving thought and thinking to quit for 2 years then go back to work until my kids all big enough to handle by my helper. If I quit, I will send the helper back and my mum no need to help me. I cannot effort helper If I don't work.
I am hoping my mum to help me to go through the difficult situation but I don't think it is good that she doesn't help my Brother. What should I do? I am lost when I heard from my mum that my Brother asking for help. I cannot say no. My helper cannot handle my first Son as he is attention seeking children ( Super hard to handle him). My 2nd one in full day childcare. I just some suggestions on my working arrangement. Should I work part time? My current job not a management role but I have a decent pay with good boss. My helper cannot handle 3 kids after school. I am getting stress to think all these. I feel like world is ending kind.. my mum also keep wanting to go holiday to relax. She worried that she cannot go holiday next year. I am totally lost.

- 2017-07-05Hi, I have a 12 week old baby. I'll be going back to work after my maternity leave. However, I'm now thinking of taking some time off from work to spend more time with him. Do you all think that I should take time off now or at a later stage (say when he's 6 months or so). I feel that I should take at a later stage when he starts having better communication skills and when he starts picking up things since now he is at a stage where he more or less only needs milk. But hubby thinks I should take now. What do you all think?

- 2017-07-06Hello all mummies,
My girl is now 7mths old fully on bm (latch and bottle) and we just started introducing solid to her. She doesn't seem to like to drink from bottle since 2 months old partly because of confusion btw latching and bottle (i was wrong to listen to confinement lady and mil to introduce bottle at 2wks old because she has no problem latching on). We have been trying so hard all the while in order for her to drink from bottle but now she seems like having milk strike or bottle strike. What i understand from mil she only drink 3 times from 8am to 7pm in a day for about 100 to 120ml, either bottle feed else spoon feed most of the time. Meaning in the day time she drinks appx 360ml + 2 times of cereals. On a side note she will latch at night from 9.30pm onwards (when i back from work), she will latch in the mid night too.
May I know if she is having bottle strike? Is she drinking enough? Of cos she is not losing any weight but i am just afraid that she is not drinking enough for her to grow better. Have been working so hard to pump at work.
Thanks to advise ~
