Hi dr, my mom went for a check up and the xray found that she has microcalcifications in the left breast. Is that also some of the early signs of breast cancer? anything that she should watch out for? maybe like avoid certain types of foods or drinks? Thank you :)

I am sorry but the image is very blur and hard to read. For microcalcification, usually we would recommend that you see a breast surgeon and perhaps a complementary ultrasound of the breast to see if there are any breast lesions. Sometimes microcalcification could mean that there is breast cancer or pre-cancerous lesion like DCIS. Best if can check it out by seeing a breast surgeon, that would assess your mum and advise accordingly.
