Speak to your pediatrician if you're worried. But yes, heavy and irregular breathing is common with newborns as their respiratory systems are still not fully developed. My LO was pretty noisy with all her wheezing, breathing and groaning in her first 6 weeks or so as well - did give us quite a scare! But this eventually toned down.

Check the nose if it's blocked.. If see lo being too breathless, bring to emergency immediately. Sometimes they snor too haha

Yes, the nose is blocked. But still able to breath. I hv consulted doc before discharge.

Can use the nasal aspirator to clean LO nose regularly as sometimes stuck with goop.
