Has anyone experienced doctor misinformed that you might carrying 2 embryos?

And so this had happened to me during my 10weeks scan. The doctor was from a panel clinic run a simple scan and after awhile of navigating the stick she even made me believed i saw 2 heart beats! Suprised ofcos and surely never had that kind of experience before seing it. We immediately went to see specialist to confirm. But unfortunately after thorough V scan, specialist confirmed i only carry one at that moment.. Last week at 11 weeks, we went back to see clinic doc (this time diff clinic) yep, it’s only one.. Anyone experienced this before? Is it possible to falsely scan a twin.. Cos deep down inside i am still hoping...
