Are you training your kids to use "po" and "opo" even though their primary language is English?

I really haven't tried teaching my kids the po and opo. But of course, I would love for them to learn one of our Filipino traditions now that they'll be starting to learn the Filipino language in preparation for school.

Maybe you can still try to syncretize the use of English and the use of po and opo. Our country is a melting pot of cultures so it can be an option to combine these habits if you think they are still necessary.

Yes, Still do. I find kids who say "po & opo" very well mannered. It's good to teach our kids how to respect elders early on and besides, it's part of our Filipino culture.

Yes we do. Because that is one of the filipino values that we want to pass on to the next generation.
