What roasted chicken brand can you best recommend?

I've always liked the taste of Sr. Pedro and the one from SnR. Both are also affordable!

My sister gave birth recently and her newborn son's cord stump has fallen off. It had a little greenish slime and tints of blood around it. Is it normal? I remember my kids used to have a dry navel when the stump fell off.

My kid had something like that, too, although it didn't have blood. She turned out just fine. If it still bothers you, call the pedia right away.

At what age do you think it's safe for a kid to have a taste of inihaw (like isaw, barbeque, etc)?

If these are prepared at home, maybe around 3 or 4 years old is acceptable. Just make sure you don't burn it so it will not be as carcinogenic as overly burnt foods. I think if you are sure that it's properly prepared then let the kids enjoy it.

Do you give alms to a pulubi when you're with your kids? Why or why not?

I'm not really comfortable to give money to pulubis just because I don't know where they'll use it-- probably to buy food or cigarettes. I only give alms in the form of food, since I always have Skyflakes or any form of biscuit in my bag just in case, since I know that at least they'll get to eat.

I've heard that it's not good to use Vicks VaporRub on babies and toddlers below 2 years of age but in our household, we used to use this on our kids. We want to switch to Vicks BabyRub for the little ones. Can I get reviews about this product?

I love Vicks VaporRub and I was actually thrilled when I saw the commercial about Vicks BabyRub although I haven't seen one out in the market. Like Charm, we also use Vicks VaporRub to our little cousins and I can say that I don't see any negative effect on them.

Does anybody know where I can get cheap books in Manila? Used books may do. I need to bulk up on my to-read list again.

Booksales are good treasure troves for bookworms. You can find it anywhere in Manila. Usually, they're contain within SM malls. You may also visit Recto. There are certain spots there that offer good reads, hard-to-find and vintage books even.

My wife and I are craving for a Chinese fix for weeks. Can anyone suggest a good Chinese restaurant in Manila?

Are you after a fancy Chinese cuisine or are you up to exploration and adventure? I suggest you go visit Binondo for authentic Chinese foods. You can there are lots of restaurants that you can choose from. I also suggest that you try Dong Bei's dumplings, Beef Noodle Brisket at The President's Tea House or Wai Ying :)
