Yes it is better to sleep sideways, specially on your left side. This is because sleeping on your back creates pressure on your lower abdomen and back due to baby weight. This as a result can cause back ache and also the blood flow to baby gets reduced.

Occasionally I slept at my back for a couple of mins before turning to either left or right. But once you hit 3rd trimester, it's almost near impossible to stay at your back for more than 5 mins without aching!

must try to get used to slp sideways, slp left side is the best, when u reaching third trimester slping face up can let u feeling breathless

If you can sleep propped up, then that’s fine. By the third trimester, you might find it more comfortable on your side

I can't sleep sideway at all. I face up all the way after mid 2nd tri. My baby will kick and Box me if I sleep sideway.

I could not sleep sideways! My gynae advised me to just sleep in whatever way is most comfortable

Better to sleep sideways. You will automatically sleep sideways when your bump is bigger..
