I totally understand how you felt. My inlaws insisted for me to go too. I rejected. I was respectful enough that I went during the wake. I told the decesead via praying that I won't be there during cremation as baby is still too young. hope you understand and forgive. I didn't go to the cremation. Did have a huge arguenent w my inlaws and husband. after all I'm the one looking after my little one. not them
My family will tell me off if I bring my LO to any funerals... if you're worried, like Jorelle mentioned, go to a temple and ask for an amulet and flower water. Bring extra change of clothes and change out before you go home. Once you get home faster go and wash up with the flower water.

you can just be firm as say LO is unwell? I know how it feels when sometimes inlaws are being unreasonable and demanding. OR you can go to temple and ask for a amulet to protect your LO?
i wont bring. there is no need to bring or go. wanna pay respects is from our heart. nothing else matters more then the sincerity, thought and intention.
