It might be due to lower digestion rates as your pregnancy occurs and nothing to do with folic acid as folic acid is essential for your baby’s brain development. Personally, I had started eating folic acid way before pregnancy and the increased dosage from doctor in my first trimester didn’t make any difference to me.
It has nothing to do with folic acid. Constipation is a common symptom during pregnancy, as the growing foetus inside uterus pressing the intestine. Drink a lot of water daily. And consume fruits and vegetables with fibre to help. You may also eat some prunes which is high in fibre to relieve the constipation.
It’s normal! I experienced that for a few weeks. Figured it out myself how to reduce it by drinking power berries juice and decrease my intake in milk :)
Pregnancy will cause constipation, every1 is the same. Eat more fruit and drink more water...
Just have to drink plenty of water, yakult or fiber rich foods etc
