Only folic acid will do for first trimester. Otherwise doctor may prescribe duphaspton to stabilise the pregnancy if she thinks it’s necessary. From 2nd trimester, u will then be prescribed multi-vitamin, fish oil and calcium supplements. :)

Yes. Folic acid for 1st trimester only is normal :) The rest of the supplements will be prescribe in 2nd trimester (eg: fish oil). The fish oil may make the nausea worse in some mummy during first trimester.

My gynae prescribed folic acid for first trimester. Calcium, multivitamins and fish oil are prescribed from second trimester onwards. :)

Im taking folate and calcium only. Should be sufficient for first trimester. :)

Which week should I go and see a gynae to get a scan? Currently 5weeks pregnant.

How do you know you are 5 weeks pregnant? You can actually already go get a scan now to check your EDD
