First Trimester Do And Don't
Hi all, I am a new mum, still in first trimester. May I know can we eat Bird nest and herbal soup at this stage? Can we fly for holiday? Any advise. Thank you
First trimester is not advisable to travel as the fetus is still unstable. U can start to consume bird nest from 20 weeks onwards. Herbal soup may not be suitable for everyone as it also depends on individual constitution. Better to consult both ur gynae and TCM physician before taking any herbal soup.
Read moreI didn't take birdnest as i scare i waste it by vomit out all. Will start when i feel better. But i drink those white fungus drinks before i sleep. Herbal soup i drink once but vomit out as i can't take the smell. So maybe depend on your body condition.
I did not drink herbal soup as some herbs are not suitable for pregnant women... Bird nest OK to take from 20weeks onwards. Holiday wise is OK as long as your body is OK but best is to go during 2nd trimester when your baby is more stable.
Not advisable to take any herbal soup at this stage unless you consult tcm doctor and they confirm it is safe for pregnancy. Usually gynae will not allow too as they are also not sure about the herbal effect on pregnancy.
Do not take any herbal soup or supplement for 1st trimester at all. After 6 months if u want to consume, ensure to consult with gynae whether that herbal or supplement is safe for your current stage pregnancy.
Did not take any bird nest or herbal soup. Ok to fly... went to Korea and Hongkong for 2 weeks during 6th week of pregnancy.
I still travelled till end of 2nd trim. No issues. All d nourishments apparently shld come in late trim or aft delivery
1. Birdnest : best consume 6th months onwards 2. Herbal soup: No 八珍,十全,Korean Ginseng. But soup with 党渗 etc is ok
Traveling is up to individuals but best not to. I bled after I came back from holiday & gynae said it may due to exhaustion..
My gynae advised not to take herbal soup. Bird nest in moderation is fine. Travelling wise after trimester 2.
