I feel you mummy. Old ppl will say aiya wunt die one la. Aiya dirty dirty grow up dirty strong. But, they don't know nowadays so many NEW virus. During their time don't even have hfmd. Maybe can try Pass him mask if he sick, don't say anything. If you r the one cooking, can cook more nutritional dishes to make them stronger, buy fruits n ask everybody eat. Eat more vit C is super good to prevent cough n flu n build immune system. Not drink fruit juice, eat real fruits. Sometime at home watch those kids get sick video n show them n chit chat about. Eg, now adays alot of sickness haixx last time where got. Oh dear... Good luck to you mummy, everything be over soon

Ah my in laws smokes and they don't sanitize their hands before carrying my daughter. I was super angry because they would just smoke then carry my newborn that time and my FIL dare say "baby smell 2nd hand no issue bc he and wife alr smoking so many years still healthy" I tell u I rly speechless. I can't stop my in laws from smoking moreover I'm staying with them until 2023. rly terrible. .also my in laws always think they know best bc they the older generation. totally no respect for me.

I feel u too.. sometimes is nt just the issue that u mention. They always have their way of doing things which will indirectly interfere with our own plans, making it difficult for us to do things. Though they are the grandparents but we are the parent of our child and there should be some respect for us. It just kind of annoying that we can’t directly tell them off as we will just end up being the rude ones.

Need to explain to him that if he pass his virus to your son at this age, worse case scenario is that he might end up in hospital dying. Then copy paste those news articles of babies dying because sick people kissed them, it’s easy to find in english or chinese, cause this is too common already. If it comes from the internet/news then the old folks are more likely to feel less offended.

Oh yea been there for me. My baby became sick while we were on a trip with them because they were coughing in his face. I tried to tell them nicely but well, nothing more I can do

I feel u!!! Sometimes I feel so irritated as well. Just stay firm or jokingly say next time don't let u touch or see my son if u continue to be in this way.

Tsk. I'll be pissed too. Tell him if your son gets sick, he will forever be banned from kissing your son ever. Haha.
