feeling scared
Hi all..how should I say or do to change my 3yr old mindset of scared of the police.
Has anyone used "Police" name to scare your child into behaving? If so, try to reverse it by telling them how brave the police are, etc. Or maybe get your child interested in the police car! Some kids just like vehicles, that might be a way to get your child to get over the fear.
I know it's not any time soon, but when the opportunity comes, how about attending police roadshows? Or when you happen to bump into police officers, show your child they go about their daily business too, for example buying food.
If i were you i will let my Child see me talking and Chatting to police that way he or she will know that if Mummy is able to talk to police they are nice from then tell all about what police actually do
You can make up some stories during story telling time by telling your child how a police controls the traffic, patrols the neighborhoods, responding to emergency calls, arrests "bad people" etc

Story telling and intro your kid with some police related show
Stop talking abt scared of police That should help
Maybe a storytelling of how brave the police helps.
