For freshly expressed breastmilk, since it has little bacteria in it, you can keep them at room temperature (25degrees) for a maximum of 6 hours. Alternatively, you can store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days or in the deep freezer for 6 to 12 months. It's best to label your breastmilk according to the date that it's been expressed and store it in an "first in, first out" manner - whereby the latest expressed milk are stored in the insides and the earlier ones out front where it's easily assible. You can keep it at room temperature for up to 6 hours but advised to use or store it within 4 hours. If the breastmilk is especially warm, it's also advised to keep to four hours. If you put it at the back of your fridge, you can keep it for up to 5 days, although usage within 3 days is optimal. Back of deep freezer would be up to 12 months although usage within 6months is optimal. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/infant-and-toddler-health/in-depth/breast-milk-storage/art-20046350?pg=2

Freshly expressed breast milk can be kept at room temperature for up to six hours. However, use or proper storage within four hours is optimal. If the room is especially warm, the limit is also four hours.
