- 2024-08-26Hi moms my 6 month old had diarrhoea for 3 days. Dr couldn’t prescribe any medication because she’s still small. Just electrolytes and probiotics. Anyway although it has stopped, her poop is still unusually smelly and her tummy is uncomfortable at times. We apply oil and rub, give her warm bath to make her feel better. She’s still active, no fever etc. Her poop hasn’t gone back to normal haha still funky smell but not watery just mushy. Dr say it will take a few days for poop to turn back normal. Any tips? Or we just need to wait it out? Thank you!!!
- 2024-08-26I miscarried very early on at about 5 weeks, confirmed by doctor when my HCG fell from 105 - 80 ul/l which was very low to begin with. However I’ve been bleeding & spotting on and off for over 4 weeks and my home pregnancy tests are still coming up as faintly positive. Is this normal? And when is it ok for us to start trying again?

Would my milk supply drop if I stretch or cut down on 1 night pump? Or if I were to stretch my pumps to every 4hourly, will my milk be lesser? Im only a just enough mum pumping arnd 120ml each session.

- 2024-08-27Context: I'm about to be in my week 37, and I'm already WFH. My gynae will give me HL during my next appointment.
However, I have a concern that my boss may ask me to continue to work despite having HL since it's just switching on my laptop and clearing some work to her. How should I let my boss know that it's not just about that, but I need to relax my mind before I'll pop anytime soon

- 2024-08-27Hello mummies, I’m super stressed now. I’m week 11 coming up to 12. I’ve not been able to eat as I have no appetite at all. I’m feeling nauseous at times but I don’t vomit. It’s just that nothing I can think of or look at is appetising to me. Any food in front of me just makes me nauseous.
I know I need to eat and I don’t want to just take in unhealthy food / snacks. What tips do you guys have ?
Thank you !

- 2024-08-28I have a work trip coming up in a couple of months and I calculate I will be week 12-13 by then. I read most posts that most ladies shared that it is safe but to confirm with gynae. Just wondering if there are any mommies who had BAD experiences while travelling at 12-13 weeks? Want to hear negative experiences to be more realistic

- 2024-08-28Hi mummies. I found a product that could make our babies poop. To be safe, only consume after 8 months old. I gave her only 2 pieces of the Gerber Organic Yoghurt Melt per day and she did poop. But unfortunately, it's a semi soft hard poop. I mean, at least she did poop. #sharing

- 2024-08-28Our 17mo is not talking (eg. papa mama in a meaningful way) and pointing yet. Toddler is babbling, making eye contact and interacting with caregivers.
Anyone who has experienced the same? How do you deal with the worries? I’m not in deep anxiety cause I have heard that some kids started talking at 3yo. But I would like to hear from you who has traveled the same path.
Thank you in advance.
- 2024-08-28Hello! My baby is 9 months plus but still wakes up 3-4 times a night. Anyone has similar experience? Her eyes are closed but she makes weird (pretty loud) noises so I will pick her up and breastfeed her. She doesn’t actually drink that much so I’m not sure if she’s hungry. I also do not wish to sleep train her. Any tips is welcomed!
- 2024-08-28Hi mummies, ftm here who is currently at 26 weeks. I’ve only gained about 5.5kg thus far…..is this a sign that baby isn’t growing well? :(
I am feeling rather worried for some reason…..I can feel bb kicking but just can’t seem to get rid of the worry (I get worried if bb kicks less that day….).
My next scan will only happen at week 32 I reckon? Wonder if…..I should be worried……..

- 2024-08-29My baby is turning 3 mth soon. When i ring a bell out of his sight, he did not turn his head to the sound. Most websites states that baby should achieve this skills at 2 months. But I look through his health booklet and noticed that it stated 95% of baby will turn by 7.5 mths. Should i be concerned? When did ur baby turn their head to source of sound? When does polyclinic check on this skill?

I've been having these not bulging red rashes on my thigh, calf and butt, its not itchy but scary to look at. It has been worsening over the days and im starting to get afraid. I forgot to check with my gynae when i went for the check up yesterday and my next appt is 2 weeks later . Im currently at 36 weeks.
the red patches are getting redder and its kind of scaring me. Not sure if its because my leg cannot take the weight of my body or is it blood not circulating well. Does anyone else have this problem too?

- 2024-08-30Hi! Does anybody know of the delivery suite breakdown at KKH for wards A and B? I am thinking of delivering my baby there but i cant seem to find the breakdown price.
- 2024-08-30Starting this week my 3m+ old baby started to drink much lesser in 24h.. there is no clear sign of what caused this change. She was sick (nasal congestion/cough) previously but have since recovered and milk intake regain back to normal level before this..
Now she drinks half of what she used to drink. she cries loudly even when placed in the position ready for feeding. At times she may just take 30ml and reject further milk by crying.. we’ve tried both breast milk and formula milk, same reaction. Feeding interval became v long too almost 4-5hours nv cry for milk. She also developed new habits eg only likes to be carried upright.
So far no fever, still peeing ok.
What should we do? When will it become a concern when we should go PD for a check? #FTM
- 2024-08-30Hello mummies! I just delivered bb couple of days ago, and different nurses have been telling me that i cant latch bb well and he doesn't want to suckle because i have flat nipples. This is quite discouraging.
Bb has been so sleepy and refuses to latch – he rather sleep and hasnt been drinking formula milk much too.
Anyone with similar experiences and tips? Thanks in advance!

- 2024-08-31Any mummies experience this with their baby? My baby will look at me, smile, track my movement etc whenever he is lying down on bed or changing mat. But if i carry him in lying position on my arms, he will look everywhere and not at me no matter how hard i tried to get his attention. This happens even if i am sitting down and not walking around. He is 3mth + . Is this normal?

- 2024-08-31I am 20 weeks pregnant. And my stomach pain whenever i sit. Is it normal?
- 2024-08-31Hi everyone, we are at 21 weeks pregnant and did our Fetal Analysis today and found out we have a notch in our left uterine which means lower blood flow into the placenta and hence, our baby. Report also shows that the right uterine is well and functioning and our doctor prescribed aspirin pills to consume everyday up till 35 weeks.
From our doctor, this may potentially lead to preeclampsia or growth retardation for our baby=(
Any mummy’s here have the same issue and would care to share your experience?

- 2024-08-31Hi,
Would like to get everyone's thoughts on this. Yesterday, my wife and I were at work , and my 1 year old daughter was at home with my in-law.
In the late afternoon, my older sister came to my home with my mum and took away my LO, and brought her back to her home. She informed my in-law but didn't inform us parents at all (not even a text). We were pretty mad that she came to take her niece without our consent. Her claim was that she already informed my in-law, which should be alright.
But, I thought the right thing to do is to be asking/informing the parents first before taking the LO. What's your thought?
- 2024-08-31Hi mummies, any of you chose to stop breastfeeding and switch to exclusively formula when baby is less than 1 month due to mental health? How do you deal with mum guilt? I know formula is the best choice for myself and family but i feel like i've failed my baby :(
Edit:
Thank you mummies for your reassurance and encouragement! Will always remind myself that fed is indeed best!
