Hello Kavya, I think, you should not worry too much about your son not matching the ideal developmental parameters because all children are different and they have their growth depends on how their body functions. I will share with you that my eldest brother was barely 5 feet when he was in 9th standard. He was obviously the shortest amongst majority of boys one could compare him with. But eventually, he shoot to 5'9 inches by the time he was in first year of college. So, all I mean to say is, do not resort to supplements. Give him healthy and nutritious diet and he will do good. Also, kids as young as yours often fall ill because of cold and cough, there is nothing to worry. But if you have concerns, please consult his paediatrician for better guidance.

at this age it is normal for babies to fall sick, as they are newly exposed to the outside world. your baby comes in contact with other babies in school, which also leads to cold and cough and such. i have not used supplements for my kids, and will suggest you also try the natural way, by giving your baby more of fresh fruits and vegetables. include outdoor play time each day, if possible some time in the sunshine too. also, add healthy foods such as yogurt, daliya, raagin and such to the diet. eggs and chicken are also very good if you are giving non-veg. do not compare your baby to others, your baby may take more time than others in doing certain things, but that is completely natural :)

Is your child playing in the outside fresh air in the morning or evening sunlight? He must be. It helps in the overall development. Let him run for and play actively. It will boost his systems. The cold will run away clearing the mucus in the respiratory tract. Appetite will increase. A balanced diet which is rich in fibrous veggies, fruits will help in boosting his immunity. Cold and fever are a natural thing in childhood till 7 yrs. They are exposed to different pathogens from house, school, play areas. Which is good. The body develops immunity from this. It helps in their future. No need of any vitamins.

Hey, Personally, I do not believe in giving supplements to kids unless they have real developmental issues, in which case you should seek your doctors advice than randomly giving him supplements that you think or your friend thinks will work best. I understand your concern for your child, and you are raising this question because you are worried about him falling sick often and not matching the ideal weight and height according to his age, but I think for this you should check with his paediatrician and do whatever he advices.

Hi mom I'd suggest you concentrate more on natural foods than supplements. Also, the best judge and guide for supplements will be your child's doctor, so please check with the doctor. Make sure your child has enough fruits and vegetables through the day. Also include whole grains dals eggs and chicken in his diet. Include colourful vegetables such as beets carrots spinach and such to give a variety of nutrition. And ensure your child gets enough exercise and play time in the open air

Toddlers have a tendency to fall sick and once they start interacting with the outside world such as going to school etc, they fall sick very often. Doctors say that children do not need any supplements at all unless and until they are eating healthy, balanced meals. Give your child lots of immunity boosting foods such as mushrooms, oranges, strawberries and honey. Also remember that every child is different and do not compare your kid with others.
